I have been house bound for eleven years. So for you to do this ( and the map is just genius! ) I thank you with all of my heart. I will watch all of your videos over, and over, again.
Wonderful "Ride-Along" video. Clear, in focus and stable. Beautiful Scotland. What would be even more pleasing would be seeing the commuters embarking and dis embarking on the bus. At every stop I enjoyed looking at the people!
Very enjoyable The roads up there are just as bad as down here. Less cars less humans noticeable. Thanks for your time and efforts to produce your volg.
Looks like Seattle homes n streets n green ❤️❤️❤️👍🎉😍🌲🌲🌲 Lovely clean n traffic less roads...such a delight to see those heritage architecture buildings ❤️❤️❤️

Seen the thumbnail and thought “that’s lower Granton Rd”…… and so it was 😊 40 years later and I still recognise it straight away……. Although the square onto the harbour was unrecognisable, and “the Tap” was gone? Closed up shop?
Very nice. I'm not complaining, but I was surprised to find that a bus service named "Skylink" should be a local stopping service for most of the journey.
As the 200,300,400 Skylink services in Edinburgh don't go to the city centre they most likely wouldn't be financially viable if they didn't double up as regular 'stopping' buses. I suppose something is better than nothing for airport users & workers that aren't going direct to/from the centre of town.
As usual a great and clear video. Having looked at quite a few of your vidoes on the north and south of the U.K. I am glad I emigrated to a Canada in 1965.
It is so relaxing to just sit in this bus and to drive through Edingburgh - great sound and vision - well done - I didi sub your channel and am curious for more
I enjoyed that, and I live in Edinburgh but haven’t been out and about for ages, nice to see some familiar places. I saw one of my pet hates on the video, someone at a bus stop not paying attention and sticks their hand out at last minute just as bus about to pass by😡 Roads are really in bad shape, makes the bus sound like a wreck!
@@KevinTheCountryman I was only joking. Don't go near those areas at night - they can be a bit rough! If you are visiting Edinburgh for the first time, start the visit with the Old Town (the medieval area where the Castle and City Chambers are) and then the New Town (the area further north that is "New" as it's only a couple of hundred years old!). Then hop on the train and visit Glasgow - for a totally different world!
@@williamking9510 😄. I figured when you mentioned the "extra adventure". All good suggestions. Maybe I will be there sometime this year and might even seek out some "extra adventure"........
You are right, some of the roads do need maintenance, But seeing more houses being developed around Pennywell makes me happier. Used to live on Ferry Road in the 60's.
This was neat. A chance to see normal everyday life in Scotland away from the tourist areas. An odd question here, late April and a lot of the grass is green, is it just the type of grass it is or was it more brown over the winter and has turned green? Reason I ask is here in the southeastern US our grass mostly stays brown until temps get up into the 60's & 70's F in early April.
Just like the U.S. northern states we don’t use Bermuda Grass, or St Augustine that goes dormant in winter, and turns brown. Our grass stays green all year round just like in the U.K. .
Great video. Some questions for UK viewers: Do you really need a bus stop every 100 meters? And who funds road maintenance in the UK and Edinburgh in particular?
Everybody does not have a car , so it is only reasonable to have the bus stops reasonably near each other . Road maintenance i do not know i left Edinburgh in 1964 .
Edinburgh's roads are pretty poor in a lot of places at the moment but mostly the Wright Gemini 3 model buses are the most rattly pieces of garbage ever to hit the roads. Thankfully the last few years Lothian Buses have stopped buying Wright buses and moved over to Alexander.
I can't understand why in UK and Ireland there is so little distance in between bus stops. That make bus journeys eternal. Apart from that, it is very surprising seeing how bad the state of roads is. UK is supposed to be rich enough to afford a better maintenance of roads.
took a full 20 minutes before i spotted a cyclist, was beginning to think they dont exist in scotland lol *and then the first guy on a motorcycle at about 24 minutes,, where im from you would have seen dozens already so its strange seeing roads without them everywhere. not many people walking dogs either ?
Tried to contact youtube, but no response. Just letting you know : after a recent update (about 2 weeks ago) all the hdr 60fps videos are caped at 480p on all iOS and iPadOS devices 😔
The quality of this bus is very bad. The interior is very noisy, very bad silencer. And at the beginning of the video it is also seen that the interior of the bus is very bad. Rate this bus 1 star out of 5 stars
Nice video. But my impression is an ugly city, with roads in a deplorable state. The racketing in that bus was awfull! It looks like a city wich is bankrupt.. Maybe one cute girl, she got off at the Lidle stop. No i'm sorry, not for me, depressive place . .
I live in Edinburgh. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. But I can completely understand you thinking less of it from watching this video. The 200 route goes though some of the most deprived areas of the city. There is no great architecture, it's mostly post-war cheap buildings which often replaced the previous slums. All great cities have poor areas. This route highlights them. This is no criticism of Wonderizm; he's a documentarian. But before you write off Edinburgh, check out his other videos from the city. They showcase the beauty of the city, though I would have loved to have given him some routes that would have showed the city at it's best. Next time, perhaps?
