I don't understand at all, in the old pictures the shadows of the black and gray tattoos looked more homogeneous... is it because of the quality of the picture?
Sitting here with my 2nd session on back healing now. Revisiting this video because Ive wanted this book for a while and these back pieces (really the body suits) are just truly powerful. It's quite a committment from both artist and client and these are still all next level pieces. Love them all but maybe the Kyosai dragon at 44:40 is my favorite
Wow, the bodysuits @ 11:14, 38:20, 47:00, and 1:02:00 might be the greatest tattoos I've ever seen. I just started practicing tattooing at the ripe old age of 30 (hopefully I didn't wait too long 😂) after non stop encouragement from friends/fam, and tattoo artists, so this channel is a God send. Thanks for bringing Filip Leu's artwork into my life bro,so inspired right now! You deserve more followers 👍

Seen this I think the answer is somewhat yes, Filip Leu is the best tattoo artist right now, probably ever, because we are getting unfortunately backwards since that, I can see it in contemporary works, that go more for minimalism, hardly doing a bodysuit with a fraction of this artistry. Also, if you Google images of Titine Leu you’ll see an old one where her left arm dragon was complete, but her right arm dragon wasn’t, and in that pic the flower on her shoulder wasn’t there yet. So, the dragon wasn’t an add on after the flower. Thought you’d like to know

I heard that Filip did either a blue or purple oni on someone and the ono looks like Filip, curious if you've ever seen the tattoo or even heard of it?
For me the back piece on minute 47 is simply great, I love the bigger claws, gives a lot of dynamic and depth to the whole image a bit disappointed you don’t like it
