I'm lucky to see him on Saturday in Brighton on rehearsal show, I cant wait, it was my dream for years to see him live. I honestly thought he is done with live gigs. This can be very last opportunity to see him on the stage as he is 78 now. But despite everything, passing time , his legend will last forever.
Seen dressing rehearsal show yesterday, which is exactly as main show will be, with all lights shows and full sound. And it was beyond expectations. David was amazing.
I'll be in LA for the concert on the 25th of October! No way he doesn't play Run Like Hell. Saw him in Chicago back in 2015, I love the new album and I expect great things from this tour! Great video
It's probably not going to happen but I'd love to see him surprise everyone and play one or two from "The Wall" he hasn't touched since the Division Bell Tour. I'm not expecting "Brick 2" at all but maybe "Young Lust," or "Hey You." Also, more realistically, perhaps "Learning to Fly," "Turning Away," "One Slip," "On their Turning Away," "Keep Talking," or "A Great Day for Freedom." Perhaps the finale of "A Saucerful of Secrets" as well.
Can't wait for this. I'm going to Rome with my dad on the 29th. I know already it will be amazing. I can't think of anything to add to your setlist other than maybe he starts with black cat and maybe he plays sorrow (I hope).

I have 10/31 tickets too, coming from LIncoln, NE. I could only afford nosebleed and have no idea who I will take with me. No one I know loves Gilmour like I do! I was reading about Hollywood Bowl and hoping I can move up if empty seats. I had nose bleeds in Denver, 1994 or something, and ended up in front of the pig, disco ball somehow (was pretty high, sober now!)
I read in a couple interviews that he's not going to perform the whole album like On an Island Tour. I think he's going to mix the Floyd and previous solo stuff with the new material, like he did on the RTL tour. Shine on without saxophone player I think it's out of the set list, as On the turning away, which he already struggled singing in 2006 when his voice was way more powerful then today. I also read that he wanted to include a astronomy domine and I saw a very short bootleg video of someone who works at the place they're rehearsing right now and I heard Coming Back to life.
My guesses: 1. Black Cat 2. Luck and Strange 3. Single Spark 3. On an island 4. The Blue 5. Between Two Points 6. Dark and Velvet Nights 7. In Any Tongue 8. Sings 9. Piper's Call 10. Sorrow 11. The “Time” solo has always been my favorite, and love watching/hearing it evolve over the years. He seems to give it a makeover every few years, and he just always seems to nail it, making it feel at home with the rest of the material being played on the set. I hate that I won’t be able to make the NYC shows for financial reasons (I remember going to concerts for $15- $25… it’s amazing that even seeing a punk rock show is now a $60 ticket affair). Hopefully this isn’t it and maybe some dates get added later, and I still have that hopeless, impossible dream that within a year or so, David and Roger will bury the hatchet, and we’ll get a sort of Pink Floyd reunion, sans Rick Wright (RIP).
Süper bi video hazırlamışsın kardeşim. Ben bu albümü çok beğendim. Dinledikçe daha çok dinleme isteği uyandırıyor. Başta bazı olumsuz yorumlar görüp üzülmüştüm ama senin objektif yorumlarını izledikten sonra mutlu oldum. Between Two Points orijinal solosunu dinlediğimde gitar tonu çok farklı gelmişti. Nefesli saz sesini (ney) andırıyordu. Senin çalışında bunu bulamamıştım. Sebebini öğrenmiş oldum. Emeklerin için çok teşekkürler. David Gilmour albümü övdüğünde biraz abartılı bulanlar oldu. Usta yaptığı işin kalitesini biliyor bence. Reklama htiyacı yok. Bu arada set listini beğendim. Biraz kişisel olacak ama "Near The End " i de çalmasını isterdim.
I know for a fact, he didnt change the solos in the rehearsal to leave the magic for the actual shows, he used to do that on old shows, played the original on rehearsals then go off track live and actually play the solo like he would want to.
I don't expect any surprise in the setlist. There will be probably twenty songs. Most of the Luck and Strange album ( 6 or 7 songs, except the instrumentals ) ; two songs of Rattle that lock ( but not In any tongue, it's too high for his voice now ) ; two songs of On an island and maybe 8 Pink Floyd songs. Among them : Comfortably numb, Wish you were here, High hopes, Breathe, Time, Shine On. That leaves little room for surprises. A really big surprise would be that he plays songs from his two first solo album ( Murder for exemple, which is very good ).
Setlist prediction in no particular order 1- Dark and Velvet Nights 2- Scattered 3- The Piper´s Call 4- High Hopes 5- Between Two Points (Interchangable with Luck and Strange in concerts where Romany isn´t going) 6- Black Cat (The intro song) 7- Rattle That Lock 8- On An Island 9- Breathe 10- Time 11- The Great Gig On the Sky (The backup singers are soo good and can do the song justice) 12- Sorrow 13- Faces of Stone 14- Wish You Were Here 15- Comfortably Numb
I think you can predict what will (or won't) be in there by the vocal demands of the track. I don't think OTTA or CBTL (especially with its a-capella opening) will be played. Those are sung in a higher register and as we've seen, his voice isn't up to it any more without dropping the song down a key. Songs like Sorrow, On an Island, Poles Apart etc I think will be in there as those are in a lower register and easier for him to sing.
I don't think we really can tell that much from the rehearsal video and it starting with between two points. I could be wrong but I would think Gilmour would start the show like he did in his last tour and if that's the case he would start with the first song that's on the album Black Cat.
1 Between two points Luck and strange Dark and velvet nights Piper's call Sings Scattered In any tongue High hopes 2 Breathe Time On an island Fat old sun This heaven Great gig in the sky Shine on (maybe) On the turning away Wish you were here Comfortably numb
I'm just getting into your channel and I love it! As much as I love to hear David play Floyd material, I actually hope the set list is light on Floyd classics. I'd prefer he play some solo work, going back to the first couple albums. Set 1 The new album in its entirety. Set 2 5 A.M. On An Island Rattle That Lock There's No Way Out Of Here Fat Old Sun Short And Sweet Until We Sleep In Any Tongue Murder Faces Of Stone The Blue Let's Get Metaphysical Where We Start Encore: Astronomy Domine Wish You Were Here Comfortably Numb
My dream set list : Between two points (L&S album) Shine on There’s no way out of here What do you want from me Dark and velvets nights (L&S album) Blue Light Money Echoes The Piper's call WYWH The Blue Scattered (L&S album) Coming back to life In any tongue On the turning away High Hopes Run like hell Sorrow Time Comfortably Numb I know it will be different but I don't really care... I have the chance to go to see him with my best friend for my birthday in Rome 28/09 ! I know it will be an amazing moment regardless of the set list.
Gilmour said in an interview that his daughter will try to come in some of the shows as she is not part of the main band and he said that she has a lot more responsibilities too, so I think we'll only see between two points in the concerts in England. Also, Gilmour never played breathe and time along with all the others. During on an island tour they were the show openers most of the time and in Live at Pompeii they were at the encore.
My predictions...(feedback/discussion is welcome lol) Side 1: Black Cat Luck and Strange The Piper’s Call Between Two Points (if Romany is present) Dark and Velvet Nights Scattered High Hopes One Of These Days Side 2: Breathe Time Fat Old Sun The Blue In Any Tongue Wish You Were Here Sorrow Encore: Comfortably Numb
Very logical, but Im not sure if he’ll play one of these days or fat old sun in this tour, since he played last tour. I hope he will though! Edit: isn’t this a bit short though? Maybe because of his age he’ll play shorter shows?
@@mustyguitar My thoughts were just that he likes Fat Old Sun, and One Of These Days rests his voice + gives him a chance to sit down for slide guitar which may be nice since he's 78 now lol. You're right about it being short though, I think another few contenders are Astronomy Domine, On An Island, Poles Apart, Keep Talking, Summer 68 potentially, and then Cymbaline would be neat but probably unlikely. (but that would fulfill him saying something from '69)
I think the word you're looking for in regards to his voice is "coarse". I like it.. In fact, it would sound weird to me if he had his 27 year old voice from the Dark Side days. As for an out of left field song that I HOPE he sings, it's for sure Coming Back To Life from Division Bell (my favorite song of that album), or maybe even Fearless from Meddle (or anything from Meddle). I also dig No Way Out of Here from his first solo album, but most people consider it too 80's pop-ish to be envouge today.. He did say in Guy Pratt's podcast that he's going to play classics from 1971 onwards. So here's hope for stuff off Meddle.
I love Coming Back To Life but he played CBTL on EVERY tour. He might miss this one. I don't know... I hope he'll play classics from 1971 ONLY. This is totally my boring opinion but I don't like to hear him play anything before Atom Heart Mother. I wish we hear Fearless, that's a great thinking man.
He probably will play some songs from his last album . The best ones maybe... in any tongue, faces of stone... what do you think Musty ? Also wish you were here will be on the setlist
My Guess Set 1 1. Speak To Me 2. Breathe 3. Time 4. Breathe Reprise 5. Black Cat 6. Luck & Strange 7. The Pipers Call 8. Short & Sweet 9. A Single Spark 10. Smile 11. In Any Tongue 12. High Hopes Set 2 13. Astronomy Domine 14. Fat Old Sun 15. A Boat Lies Waiting 16. The Great Gig In The Sky 17. Wish You Were Here 18. Marooned 19. Coming Back To Life 20. Sorrow 20. On The Turning Away Encore 22. One Slip 23. Comfortably Numb
My predictions for pink floyd songs : - High hopes (end of 1st set) - Speak to Me/Breathe(opening 2nd set) - Time - Fat old Sun - Coming back to life or Sorrow - Wish You Were Here - Comfortably Numb Ps : maybe he will play some old stuff like dominoes or astronomy domine , i dont think he will play shine on you crazy diamond cause i did not see any sax player in the rehearsal (i hope im wrong) , and maybe he will play on the turning away
I don't think he'll play fat old sun again. He played it during on an island tour, rattle that lock tour, and for this one? I don't know. And coming back to life has ALWAYS made the setlist for any tour. He might skip now...
I don't think he'll open with Between Two Points, I don't think the rehearsal video is indicative of the running order. I think he'll open with Breathe/Time, say hello to everyone, then maybe go into Between Two Points. I would love to hear On the Turning Away - I'd probably trade Comfortably Numb for it. My prediction: 1. Speak to Me / Breathe 2. Time / Breathe (Reprise) 3. Vita Brevis / Between Two Points 4. Luck and Strange 5. Dark and Velvet Nights 6. On an Island 7. Coming Back to Life 8. On the Turning Away 9. High Hopes 1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 2. Astronomy Domine 3. Fat Old Sun 4. Sings 5. Scattered 6. In Any Tongue 7. Sorrow 8. Murder* 1. Wish You Were Here 2. Comfortably Numb But from earlier interviews he said that Romany will only perform at gigs where she can get time away from university, so maybe we'll see two setlist? A Romany one and a non-Romany one? * Murder is probably not very realistic but I live in hope.
I think he'll do a tribute to Syd & Rick. He mentioned in an interview that he'll play PF songs ranging from 1969-1994, so Maybe Fat Old Sun? even though its technically 1970. I figure an 18-20 song set. Dominoes Remember a Day Fat Old Sun Breathe Time WYWH Sorrow/OTTA Poles Apart High Hopes On An Island Where we Start In any Tongue Black Cat Between Two Points Luck and Strange Scattered Black Velvet Nights The Pipers Call CN
@@mustyguitar I'm sure the order of songs will be arranged to create the best listening experience. I also wouldn't doubt if Nick plays a song or two. He will be using the screen so visually it will be great as well.
I thought the rehearsal video was very interesting and very telling.Of course, Gilmour is never going to ignore his Floyd legacy. Why would he? (Rhetorical question). I think Shine On and Comfortably Numb are 100% going to be in his set. Almost a given. 'Signature' songs. 😀
To me, DG just sounded a little under the weather in the rehearsal video. He’s also been doing a lot of press and interviews for the new album in the last few weeks so I’m sure his voice is a bit tired from all of the talking. He could still hit the high harmonies in “Time” when he didn’t have to sing at full volume.
Fair predictions but I don’t think he’d touch “this heaven”, and I hope he doesn’t Astronomy Domine, high hopes and coming back to life are virtual certainties with wish you were here and comfortably numb. I really want more surprises though
Yeah I'm just spitting songs, honestly... There is no way my setlist is close to the original. He played Coming Back To Life in all of his previous tours. I'm not sure about this one. He will probably.

Also, Gilmour never played breathe and time along with all the others. During on an island tour they were the show openers most of the time and in Live at Pompeii they were at the encore.
That's a biiiig change for my setlist. I thought she was a part of the tour.
My predictions...(feedback/discussion is welcome lol)
Side 1:
Black Cat
Luck and Strange
The Piper’s Call
Between Two Points (if Romany is present)
Dark and Velvet Nights
Scattered
High Hopes
One Of These Days
Side 2:
Breathe
Time
Fat Old Sun
The Blue
In Any Tongue
Wish You Were Here
Sorrow
Encore:
Comfortably Numb
Also wish you were here will be on the setlist
yeah in any tongue for sure, don't know about faces of stone though.
My Guess
Set 1
1. Speak To Me
2. Breathe
3. Time
4. Breathe Reprise
5. Black Cat
6. Luck & Strange
7. The Pipers Call
8. Short & Sweet
9. A Single Spark
10. Smile
11. In Any Tongue
12. High Hopes
Set 2
13. Astronomy Domine
14. Fat Old Sun
15. A Boat Lies Waiting
16. The Great Gig In The Sky
17. Wish You Were Here
18. Marooned
19. Coming Back To Life
20. Sorrow
20. On The Turning Away
Encore
22. One Slip
23. Comfortably Numb
Except for the one slip, I think this is very solid 🤙🏻
9/27 opening night - second row dead centre!
Castellorizon + On an Island should be on any gig
his voice and playing might got a bit weaker, but he's still the guitar legend we all love. Man he's 80 and he doesn't give himself some rest!
My predictions for pink floyd songs :
- High hopes (end of 1st set)
- Speak to Me/Breathe(opening 2nd set)
- Time
- Fat old Sun
- Coming back to life or Sorrow
- Wish You Were Here
- Comfortably Numb
Ps : maybe he will play some old stuff like dominoes or astronomy domine , i dont think he will play shine on you crazy diamond cause i did not see any sax player in the rehearsal (i hope im wrong) , and maybe he will play on the turning away
I don't think he'll play fat old sun again. He played it during on an island tour, rattle that lock tour, and for this one? I don't know. And coming back to life has ALWAYS made the setlist for any tour. He might skip now...
if i could afford the flight and ticket ...id go for the songs up to Luck and Strange
Opening with Astronomy Domain for Syd………
I don't think he'll open with Between Two Points, I don't think the rehearsal video is indicative of the running order. I think he'll open with Breathe/Time, say hello to everyone, then maybe go into Between Two Points. I would love to hear On the Turning Away - I'd probably trade Comfortably Numb for it. My prediction:
1. Speak to Me / Breathe
2. Time / Breathe (Reprise)
3. Vita Brevis / Between Two Points
4. Luck and Strange
5. Dark and Velvet Nights
6. On an Island
7. Coming Back to Life
8. On the Turning Away
9. High Hopes
1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
2. Astronomy Domine
3. Fat Old Sun
4. Sings
5. Scattered
6. In Any Tongue
7. Sorrow
8. Murder*
1. Wish You Were Here
2. Comfortably Numb
But from earlier interviews he said that Romany will only perform at gigs where she can get time away from university, so maybe we'll see two setlist? A Romany one and a non-Romany one?
* Murder is probably not very realistic but I live in hope.
solid prediction. yeah and like you said, he'll play between two points when Romany joins him I guess.
I think he'll do a tribute to Syd & Rick. He mentioned in an interview that he'll play PF songs ranging from 1969-1994, so Maybe Fat Old Sun? even though its technically 1970. I figure an 18-20 song set.
Dominoes
Remember a Day
Fat Old Sun
Breathe
Time
WYWH
Sorrow/OTTA
Poles Apart
High Hopes
On An Island
Where we Start
In any Tongue
Black Cat
Between Two Points
Luck and Strange
Scattered
Black Velvet Nights
The Pipers Call
CN
Hmm, this is a solid prediction, but I doubt he'll play his new album on the second set.
@@mustyguitar I'm sure the order of songs will be arranged to create the best listening experience. I also wouldn't doubt if Nick plays a song or two. He will be using the screen so visually it will be great as well.
There will be some differences between the rehearsal and the concert that's why he's rehearsing after a long time off the road
Wish he plays Echoes aswell... it would fit really good, with the vibe of the new album...
He said in a interview he will never die echoes again without Richard wright
@@guitarboydc yeah, I just remembered that interview
@@guitarboydc, but didn't he, in Pompei ?
I thought the rehearsal video was very interesting and very telling.Of course, Gilmour is never going to ignore his Floyd legacy. Why would he? (Rhetorical question). I think Shine On and Comfortably Numb are 100% going to be in his set. Almost a given. 'Signature' songs. 😀
I would bet he does Sorrow, I’m guessing that will be the only one from the 80’s
👍🏻
Strangely it took Amadou and Mariam to perform No Way. Wish that he would touch on some more than obvious choices
I want him to play Sorrow
He's not gonna play shine on as there's no saxophone player
there's no saxophone player yet
It will mostly be same Pink Floyd some he played at Pompeii. Nothing is excluded .
Making 7 new songs in 9 years is not a big throughput
Baba Türkiyeye gelse keşke
Fair predictions but I don’t think he’d touch “this heaven”, and I hope he doesn’t
Astronomy Domine, high hopes and coming back to life are virtual certainties with wish you were here and comfortably numb. I really want more surprises though
Yeah I'm just spitting songs, honestly... There is no way my setlist is close to the original.
He played Coming Back To Life in all of his previous tours. I'm not sure about this one. He will probably.
