Visiting the carnival grounds to see the Dragon Wagon / Orient Express kiddie coaster set up. Watch them set up the Wave Swinger / Swing Carousel Next! th-cam.com/video/qN-V5VlfqFE/w-d-xo.html
I’m currently trying to make a 1/64th scale carnival in which the rides can fold up just like the full size ones. These videos are incredibly helpful. Most of the time the exact methods of assembly are just too small but watching these gives me tons of ideas on how to make it work on the models
I bet these engineers were some clever people! Wonder about their process, did they build mockups or anything? Seems impossible to get it done purely on paper and not make any mistakes.
can we get a video on a ghost train? i cant find any videos of those getting build but 3, while i find those the most interesting as they fit so much on such little space
Believe me, nothing would make me happier. I've been involved with haunted attractions for the last 25 years and love everything about them. Finding one record is a bit tough though. If given the opportunity I would jump at the chance!
It's just always amazing how much engineering they put into these things and that it had to all be done by hand/limited computers. Some really smart people came up with these things!!
This ride always comes to my fair at my church every year in September and me and my baseball friends would go on this ride all night long😂.(BTW I would love to see a video of how the super shot drop tower is set up).
If you get a chance, can you video a Zamperla Crazy Bus, or other variant? I know there is not much to setting it up but would still like to see it, I always missed that ride as they set it up.
That thumbnail is beautiful! Speaking of dragons, any chance (no pun intended) could you show how a Sea Dragon sets up? The portable version of that ride is getting rare.
@@PeteRondeau Thanks, that ride is a little obscurer and I've always wanted to see it setup, Especially an original one. (For example Classic Rides Amusements) is probably the last one out there with the full original scenery and props, Love all your carnival content!
Hello Pete nice video as usual👍🏻,I would love to see a setup video of a battech cliff hanger ride a really like this ride but I never have the chance to see it here in France, this ride is build in the same idea of the sizzler:all fit on 1 trailer it can be a good video too see 😉
I'm happy to do any ride setup that is offered to me- although I do have a preference for the older ones. Not only do I need to find the ride, but I need to find an operator that will allow me the unrestricted access to record the process. so, finding the ride is actually the easy part.
Yes, It is stored inside. But on top of that, all their rides are periodically stripped down, rebuilt, and repainted over the winter months. They do two or three every winter.
@PeteRondeau you deserve way more subs then you got. Your a amazing dude and thanks for showing. Can you find a mulligan wheel 2 trailer and show it being set up
The dragon wagon is a newer version of the super jet/ go gator .. the only differences I see is how the tracks are racked… the go gator / super jet the tracks stacked on top of each other and the train had to be moved to remove the tracks… also on the original super jet the commutator was a tripod that sat in the middle of the track not on a swing out arm .. only thing that these guys did wrong setting up is the wedges are supposed to always point downhill except on the flat of the track which is always in the direction the train moves .. it’s the way I was taught from wisdom.. if they are pointing upwards they are more likely to come loose
it verterestion how tdifferent this one is compared to the other ones that I'm familiar with, this one is powered while the other have a tire drive propulsion and a bunny hill and the trains in this one are more for little chilren to ride while the other can have chilren and adultes riding togeather.
Yes, if you notice the family version in the "Ride of the week" segment, it is a much bigger ride. It is built on a fifth-wheel trailer. It's over the road weight was 18,000 pounds rather than 12,000 like the one I was documenting

You 👏 Have 👏 No 👏 Idea 👏 how much I love this channel.
I love hearing that!
Same...
Thanks for doing a video on the Dragon Wagon! Been waiting for someone to show us how it goes up with all its classic Wisdom engineering.

Can u plsssssssss make a series of building it
It's nice to see how they build it a bit like a puzzle.
Lots of Tab A into Slot B

Miss your videos so glad your back
Thank you! I've had a lot of distractions this summer.
Looks like a lot of ideas from this one on how to rack your rides.
Yeah, I think we can steal a few ideas here.
This is so cool! I love these videos of settings up the rides!
Great video Pete! Amazing how they fit everything on one trailer. Thanks and please keep the setup videos cool!!
Thanks, will do!

That is a really nice looking ride 👍 I bet it would be really cool seeing it lit up at night too with all that amazing scenery 👌
I was riding on tilt a whirl at walworth County fair 😀
Thanks for another great video.
You bet! Thanks for still following along!
You should do the downdraft set up next
Man
If you get a chance, can you video a Zamperla Crazy Bus, or other variant?

Glad you like them!
Stunning thanks 😊
My all time favorite carnival ride is the chance SkyDiver. Any chance you have a video of that ride being set up?
What a week so far yesterday big round wheel with a new video now today this one
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
That thumbnail is beautiful!

I don't have access to that ride at the moment, but if the opportunity presents itself, I'd be happy to!

So the tethered version is like a model train on steroids! Love it! 3:15
Very cool, Pete! Not to be confused with Wagon Dragons. (flight attendants)
Can't say I've ever heard that nickname before.
That has pretty nice scenery
Omg this coaster.. it's so cute! :)

Can you do a set up video on the orbiter ride that is my all-time favorite ride?

Every year at my state fair they have a full on wild mouse, I could not even imagine setting that up.
You know its getting serious when you need a crane to help assemble a ride.
@@PeteRondeau if you ever get a chance to do a wild mouse for this series please go for it!! would be super cool
@@PeteRondeau Holy COW!!!
Interesting informative video
Glad you liked it
I wonder if this ride is stored inside, because that amazing lack of rust for 34 years
Yes, It is stored inside. But on top of that, all their rides are periodically stripped down, rebuilt, and repainted over the winter months. They do two or three every winter.
Please do a video on the super shot and cockoo haus
Did we just switch from ashtpault to grass??
Yes? I mentioned that this was from an earlier carnival but I wanted to include the footage to show it being hauled by a pickup truck.
