Those Benchmade rescue hooks look the goods, just received mine for my IFAK. Thoughts on adding an emergency foil blanket against hypothermia? Seen others recommending them. Good job on getting in good USA made kit 👌
In New Zealand we have a lot of CAT's that are copies and the sellers are still asking top dollar for them. When the difference is $5 to $10 between the copy and the real thing, I always say go for the CAT Gen 7. I get offers from suppliers in China for their CAT's (about $5 each) it bugs me to know they are being sold for $40-$50 as the real thing.

I built my own. And I know the Amazon tourniquets are frowned upon a lot . They may not be a cat but they work.
