BECAUSE OF THAT, SO THE FUTURE OF TAIWAN IS THE MATTER OF 1.4B CHINESE PEOPLE TO DECIDE ..this is the democracy ...if the future of taiwan is determined by 23Million of people in taiwan island ...it means rebellion , then china has the right to crush it ...
Evidences : 1)more lethal weapon are bought , what are used for ?? Such as 66 f16 ..missiles 2) statement of the executive of taiwan to independence...3) the deployment of foreign troops on china soil ( taiwan)
These 3 evidences, more than enough to crush and kill the rebellions . ....

I'm so glad you asked. you are the one willing to know the truth instead of spreading hate like lots of people online, give you a huge love 💚.
There are at least 3 new laws being protested againest:
1.Contempt of Congress (Without specific definition), yes you read it right, they are rushing this new law passing without concrete definition, this law can fine anyone in Taiwan up to 6,186 USD and jailed for at most 3 years.
2.Building free way through the main mountain of Taiwan called 中央山脈, without planning, without environment evaluation, and the cost of this free way could be enormous.
3.Finish the round-island of Taiwan high speed rail in ten years. There isn't HSR at east side of Taiwan yet, there are lots of high mountains and high rate of earthquake happening each day.
The most terrify things aren't these unrealistic new laws, (of course people afraid of those scary new laws), but the procedure of Passing the new laws aren't practical enough, they skipped too many important discussions, checking, and examination. These actions of autocracy make people (include myself) anxious and scared.
We worried that we might lost our freedom of speech, we are afraid that politicians, officers, and those whom are willing to protect people couldn't able to stand up for us, called 寒蟬效應.
There are many complicated problems on going for at least 70 years. For example China trying to take over Taiwan, and we couldn't allow that happened. We cherish our freedom, democracy, and peaceful daily life.
Pro new laws parties are KMT(52 legislators) and TPP(8 legislators) nums of legislators are greater then the defense, DPP(51 legislators). Legislators of DPP couldn't strive for enough speech and discussion, nor able to stop the unready-laws through voting.
People are protesting and begging for more discussions, evaluation, and examination of new laws. The protest not only happened in Taipei City ,but also in other cities like 台中 city, 彰化 city, 嘉義 city, 台南 city (where i live currently), 高雄 city (my home town), 台東 city ,and 花蓮 city. Regardless the protesting, last afternoon 16:50(GMT+8), May 28 2024, the Contempt of Congress (non-well defined ver. ) just passed.

Google “wikileaks Taiwan” to know DPP’s politicians have been using anti-China and fake independence (which US does not grant) as tools for election purposes (Taiwan’s Netanyahu?). The most powerful faction of the DPP - New Trend - established a secret communication channel with the CCP as early as 1997, before the first president of the DPP, Chen Shui-bian.

I would like to point out the fact that the very same Chinese Communist Party that vows to take down all Taiwanese independence supporters today historically supported Taiwan independence for over 50 years from 1930-1980s. They trained pro-independence activists and donated money both in Taiwan and abroad to promote Taiwan independence movement against their old rival KMT who used to rule China but was later exiled to Taiwan. Treacherous behavior, isn't it?

May 28th, 2024. DPP Policy Advisory Board CEO Yichuan Wang said on a pro DPP talk show (th-cam.com/video/gjLKmQof2xI/w-d-xo.html 03:05~06:12) "we compared mobile phone number footprint information of protest participants of 528 (May 28th, 3rd anti-Legislative Yuan (Legislature) protest) and 517 protest (the May 17th demonstration before DPP headquarte initiated by opposition TPP), to find they belong to different IDs."
How stupid is the ruling party's CEO saying this on TV, not knowing at all this is a breach of privacy? This is tantamount to indicating the ruling party DPP can ask for whatever user info from mobile network carriers whenever they want.

Taiwanese must be honest about themselves and stop the protest and live harmonously. Historically, Taiwan success was built by a Communist Party KMT aligned with China, the Motherland. They have been enjoying a ONE country 2 systems all these time. DPP only inherited KMT successes from 2016 till today and DPP will not be able to run the country any better than without China cos their economies are intertwined. How can these people be so ungrateful for all these years of Peace, Progress and Harmony bestowed upon them by KMT with China's support. Without the support of China, even TSMC will not be what it is today. Only the wise Taiwanese knows too well that US wants to seperate Taiwan from China bcos of their evil lust for global hegemony.
