DNP DN RX1 Problem!

  • Help this is a DNP RX1 i have been having issues with, any help appreciated

    I own five phoot booths with all the same printer. This happened to me many times before, I eventually figured out if I deleted my printer on my windows operating system in my settings, turned off the computer and turned it back on. The computer would register the printer as a newly set up printer and it print again.
    Go to your settings, click devices, printers & scanners, remove all dnp rx1 options you may have. Restart computer and you should be good to go.

    I had the same problem. Here is what I did to fix it. I realize that when I put the ribbon in I was rolling it towards the back of the printer instead of towards the front. If you look at the right side of the printer you will see a sent of Arrows where the media stick goes in. It shows you the direction in which you should roll the media. As soon as I rest the media and rolled it towards me and instead of the back of the printer, bam! It worked as normal!

    It's the weirdest thing. I just got mine today and spent about 1hr trying to figure it out. So of course I come to youtube and found the fix in the comments...Thanks Sindy Cortez, I plugged it into a different usb port and it started working. This really concerns me because I am using a Surface Pro 4 and it only has 1 usb port so I am using a 4 port usb hub to give me additional inputs. I hope I don't have to go through the swapping scenario everytime I turn the computer or printer off and on again. We will find out in the morning. LOL!!!!

    its the paper sensor problem same goes for the ribbon sensor error
    better to find rx1 that has also defect and try to take the paper sensor put it on your unit and try it

    i have 3 of this printers 1 of them had the problem every time i put new ribbon

    I have encountered this same issue today. Has anyone found a fix? Do I have to call DNP?

    Nah I was actually was able to send it back under warranty being that it was less than a year old

    I have this same exact problem! It will cut out 4 sheets and then misfeed/jam on the paper slot on the 5th. I tried changing to new set of media and it was still the same. Please help, anyone.

      did you ever figure out a solution? I'm having the same issue. The printer will shoot out the 4 test pieces and then it will misfeed and jam on the last one. I can't even print out normal jobs. It's fucked.

    Why is the cut paper cartridge removed?
    Doesn't that influence on this problem?

    I had the same problem and what I did change the usb location to another. and I restarted my laptop and I was good to go..

    Did you ever remove the ink ribbon, reload and put ink back, turn completely off then back on? I know moot point now, but curious. I never had that prob.

    Hi. Looks like this has been an old issue for this brand and model. But has anyone solved the issues aside from changing usb port, changing the ribbon route or software upgrade? I did follow these and but still did not solve the problem. Un-installed and re-installed the software, no use! I noticed that after the printer initiates the printing with the first 4 cuts, the paper jumps out of the guide and that causes the jam. Someone there found the solution?

      Hi guys! This kept happening to me a lot! And I learned that you have to hold the front of the printer shut with your hands. It has not given me any problems since I started doing that.
