I think the true bravery is talking about a sick animal!! Ever since nido came out it seems people in the public eye never talk about animals getting respiratory infections as much any more even if the animals are nido negative, as if it doesn’t happen to all of us who keep lots of snakes!! Thank you for the great video!!
Thanks for this comment, and I could not agree with you more! I get sick animals from time to time, many I treat on my own, and unfortunately some do make it. Would love to share more in my videos as I think it would be beneficial to the animals we love, however many in the community would prosecute me. I just don't need the headache!

I've been in professional sales for many years, customer aren't just buying your product, they're buying you. If you aren't likeable, personable and genuine its going to be very hard to succeed at selling anything imo
Also like you said, look the part. I'm not buying a $1000 snake from a guy that looks as if he should be panhandling at the 711.
“The more I keep, the less I produce.” Interesting, I see this to a point even with staff to help with care. There is definitely a sweet spot. More staff doesn’t always mean more productivity as well. Strange paradox.

I took my wife and son to the show. Been enjoying it since the early 90’s in the field house. But I just can’t help but remember the breeders that were engaging. I had the pleasure of talking with a blood python breeder and his wife that if I was buying a short tail or blood I would from them because of the way the handle themselves. It goes a long way!

Did you test for sunshine virus as well? The fluid discharge and inappetence could be indicative of it, in addition to it being a carpet python. I would HIGHLY recommend you use UF's zoological medicine diagnostic lab. It's more expensive and requires a referral from a veterinarian, but is far more accurate than RAL or Fishhead. Glad to hear the snake is doing better!!! Keep up the great work with videos like these

I really like this video! I’m a ball python guy, that keeps some bull snakes too. I’m not pairing this year at all. I’m a hobbyist, and I can put my projects on hold a little bit while our market settles some. I love the keeping part, so I’ve never been in a hurry for the breeding part. I also coach high school football, a positive attitude is a powerful tool. Great video!

Absolutely! The future of the project is super important to me. Between all the babies I've produced in addition to the adults I rehomed, I feel like there's a nice group of foundation animals out there.
