I improved by playing the game and not paying mind to the mistakes of my teammates. this doesn't mean I didn't notice them, it means I didn't give them any more attention than recognising them and playing around it, I stopped coping about "if only xyz teammate hit xyz ability" and just focused on what I was doing and if that was correct. If I was unsure of my action being correct I would try it out, if I ended up losing a lot of gold and xp from minions because I roamed I needed to correct that. Remember, you're playing in the lowers ranks to improve, not because you're already good enough to hit diamond or above. Playing less risky and never assuming anything from teammates unless specifically stated using a ping or chat message also let me just play much better. It's far better if your goal is to win over time to take the option that will extend your lead by 150 gold than the one that might extend it by 500, but you could also die, gain nothing, blow summs and lose 1-3 minion waves or map objective. safer, guaranteed gold and exp is almost always better (with the exception of hail mary plays when the game is almost completely lost). This plus some more things made me climb from silver 2 after placements to Emerald 4 this split with a 62%WR (Naafiri having ~74% alone) playing mid and support (majority mid games). You can climb, you just have to realise that if YOU are gonna climb, YOU need to take responsibility.
that top lane advice was really dumb. if u wanna win with 0 kills just take hullbreaker and suicide into turrets lol. below plat it will more than it will lose
