25 years ago, two of my teenage nieces and their friends were sitting in the car listening to the radio. They came running in the house yelling, come hear this singer! She's going to be a star! They had discovered Patsy Cline 35 years after she died. Her talent is timeless.

My nephew is 10 now. When he was around 6 or so, he heard Elvis for the first time. He wanted to know if we could ever go see him sing. I had to explain that Elvis had passed away a long time ago. He was upset. Same thing happened again when he heard Whitney Houston.

There are artists like Johnny Cash who didn't have a beautiful voice, but they communicate emotion so powerfully with their music that it just doesn't matter. There are also musicians like Patty where the emotion is powerfully communicated AND they have a beautiful voice. Her breath control was also inSANE! She makes it seem effortless.

I grew up on Patsy Cline, but didn't appreciate her until I was grown. All these years later I still cry when I hear Patsy sing. Her voice is so beautiful and most of her songs really hit me with all the feelings. Thanks for the video.
