I ended up with a indoor chicken. I nursed a severely injured chicken back to health indoors. She ended up learning how to follow our many Chihuahua's in and out of our flip flop doggie door access. I would lay old clean towels daily on the end of the couch she liked to roost. I never thought I would keep a chicken like that but by the time she had healed she had bonded with every human, dog and cat in the house. I love the way you announce the breed when showing the animal. I went back to watch many of your Barnyard Action Sales. The loving gentle way you speak to the mostly terrified creatures. Your filming is fantastic with clear close ups. Great presentations!
Thank you for taking us to look at the pretty chickens! I think the Cochin look like they are wearing a bussel 😂 they all look like they just got back from the hairdresser!?🤣🧡💜🧡
ALL my chickens have big booties! I have Cochin Mille Fleur bantam’s and my rooster 🐓 is a gorgeous red frizzle Millie Fleur ❤❤❤ I hatched them all out from breeder stock. There’s definitely a difference between hatchery chickens and breeder chickens.

wow, there are some fabulous feathers. That is all I could think about. Great feathers to make some killer earrings. Yes I am a crafter! Thanks for bring us along to the show!🤗💕💙🐓

46:30 I bought a rooster similar to yours and he became my house rooster. My husband was jealous because my Romeo would come to me when I called. I could leave him outside with his girls nut in the evening I would call him and he would walk into the house and had to be petted and then he would go to his perch for the night. Yes his name was Romeo because when I introduced him to his first hen he strutted and dropped a wing and started to dance sideways to her and stepped on his wing and fell over 🤣🤣💔. She was not impressed, it took a week. He allowed my husband to pet him.
Not sure if someone else already answered somewhere in the comments, or if you're found out on your own by now, but at 35:23 you said you weren't sure what the feathers coming out of the side of the head were. They're called tufts, and grow from a fleshy peduncle. In the Araucana SOP, birds are DQ if they don't have tufts. Beards/Muffs are accepted in the UK and some other countries, but are a DQ in the US. Tails are a DQ as well, the birds must be rumpless.

It might be the proper way, I have no clue, but I like pronouncing it like it's spelled. lol
Those chickens a the 38:43 mark. The Ayam Cemani. Not only are their feathers, beaks, combs and feet are black, so are their insides organs, their bones and meat. The only thing not black about them are the eggs. To me that's very creepy. I have a friend whose sister-in-law raises them.

Modern games are some of the most quiet birds around. Due to the size of the bantams, they make wonderful little kid’s pets. Modern pullets are more than happy to be held and cuddled and are easily held by small hands. Even my large Moderns, are one of the quieter hard feather breeds, and take very little to calm down and settle into a routine. Moderns have personality galore. They are an active breed and will always be doing ‘activities’. They are inquisitive, friendly and always up for a chat. This makes them one of the best breeds for any backyard. I do find that they will try and fly, so a roof or trimmed wings is the go. ❤Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘

It’s lovely to se all the chickens. Do you have flaverolles ? Or do they go by a different name in America? I used to have salmon coloured ones.
