I hope you feel back to your old self soon. I am also stitching one nation and after struggling through the stars I have put it aside but Im going to pick up your idea and stitch on it on Federal holidays. That kitten face is adorable. Love all your projects.
I’ve started my snuggle is real but started in the middle (the fuzzy slipper part). The kitty face is so cute - can’t wait to get to it! I’ve debated doing a hawk run hallow but always get scared off by the size. Thanks for the discussion about these.
Hi Carolyn. Thank you for filming x3!😂 I love how you celebrate March with your birthday WIPs. The daisy one is beautiful. I love Herschel and Lucy too. ⚘️
Newer subscriber here, from PA. Found you from searching for magazine flip throughs, yours have been super helpful. Love all your videos! And beautiful stitching!
Hello Carolyn: I am so happy you are feeling better, lovely progress on all your stitching, you choose some amazing designs to stitch, I am so in love with the Patriotic designs. Congratulations on the sweet win from StitchinMommy, it is an adorable design. I would love to do the Snuggle SAL but gave up stitching for Lent, will have to stitch Snuggle after Easter Sunday. Thank-you for a fun video, congratulations to the winners including me, yahoo. Have a great week.
Hi Carolyn Love all of your WIPS - you are making great progress on them. You amaze me with all of your stitching projects that you work on. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
I enjoy so much the explanations for a certain subject in each video. I may not be a Hawk Run fan , but it is always nice to learn about smtg stiching related. The Blue Rhapsody, the daisies and JBW's letters are going to be such a spring delight, somehow they all match to me. Happy stitching!
Hi Carolyn, Oh no, I forgot the Zoom. Hopefully I'll be there next time. Thanks for your update. You have a busy month in March. Of course, March is the most beautiful and fun month of the year.🎂🥂 🎉🎉 thanks for the pattern. I am looking forward to stitching it. Have a wonderful week 🪡🪡❤
So much fun. I love working on a lot of pieces too. Your acrostics help with that especially March. I am all in for the long challenge. Keep up the gorgeous work on everything.
Thank you so much for explaining on how to start the Hummingbird Garden. I understood what you said. I also signed up for the subscription for Just CrossStitch Magazine so now all I have to do is to go and get the materials for this project. Love on how you organize all your projects. I am going to take one of my projects and do the 25/7 just like you do. On all my other projects I try and do 100 stitches a day. Hope you get your energy back. Happy Stitching.
I grew up in NE also. I am a NE Cornhusker! I lived in Sidney, Chadron, and Omaha. That cross stitch reminds me of NE also. Have you been to the Dr.? I have been having the exhaustion too and my Dr. has been doing lots of blood tests and retests. We think we have it nailed down to a couple of things and I’m hoping to be feeling better in a month or two. Being tired all the time is not fun especially when you have a lot to do. Hope you’re feeling better soon💕
I love your Home of a Needleworker so much, the kitty cats you added to it are so cute. And speaking of kitty cats, your Snuggle piece is so cute - the kitty cat looks so real. I hope you have a wonderful week and hope the exhaustion goes away and that you are feeling completely better soon.
Hi dearest Carolyn! So very close to a finish on your band sampler. I hope you are feeling less fatigued this week so that you can stitch your usual amount. I am so sick of being tired and sick. Have a video appointment with my doctor today so hopefully will find out what is going on. Probably laryngotracheobronchitis again but kind of puzzling because things keep changing colors. You should count all your bowls and pillows for the Bitty Bowl Club. Your kitten is turning out so cute. An idea to get another day in on your montages is to work on them for 2 days at each change of season, i.e. if the season changes on a Tuesday, stitch on the montage on Monday and Tuesday or Tuesday and Wednesday plus your regular Sunday stitch. You made a lot of nice progress on your WIPs considering that you were not feeling well. Does Hummingbird Garden count toward your birthday SAL? If so, I think I will join you on the 18th. There definitely is an online conversion from Sullivans to DMC as I am using both brands in mine. You have been such an enabler on this video. Love you though! Hugs and kisses to you and the boys. Happy stitching. Dawn
Hello my sweet friend! I do hope the doctor had some news for you. It's so frustrating to not know. Love your idea to get in more time on the Montages - I do think next year I'm going to add in a 3-4 day rotation each month, on top of Seasonal Sunday to help move it along. And yes, definitely count the Hummingbird Garden as a "floral" for my birthday sal! I'm so excited you'll be doing it! Sending you so much love in Texas!!!
Carolyn, how long has it been since you had a physical with blood work from your doctor? This fatigue you are feeling might be due to you being a little bit anemic, which happens to us ladies all the time. It might be worth scheduling a physical just to take care of you! You are very important to all of us! ❤
You are too funny!! I was really chuckling when you cam back twice! LOL I’m glad you are getting checked out at the doc’s. I really hope it is nothing serious. I need to get busy on the two sals I’m stitching with you! Happy stitching! Hugs.❤
Amazing telling about the Hawk Run Hallows… I have just put every single one of them on my wish list at 123Stitch. It will take me a bit purchasing them all and the fabrics. But I’m so excited about stitching them. Thank you so much❤!!!
Yay! So glad it was helpful. One of the things I wish I knew before starting: two of them (Autumn and Spring) are long and narrow. I'm personally having trouble deciding how I want to FFO it. I think I would have preferred rearranging the blocks into more of a rectangle like the others ones are (3 across by 4 down or vice versa). But if you like it the way it's printed, that's good too, just something to think about before diving into such a big piece!
@@czookstitch488 I will keep that in mind. I really don’t like 40ct as I have trouble seeing. I don’t want to make them any bigger than they are. Do you have any recommendations?
@@HilltopStitching I am doing mine on 32 ct. You could do 18 ct aida which would be equivalent to 36ct linen or if you can find a 20 ct aida that you like that would work too and be equivalent to the 40ct. But yeah, they are big. Something else I've seen people do is just select their favorite boxes and only stitch those - so it may be 6 boxes you're stitching instead of 12 (but I could never decide which was my favorite so I just stitch them all lol!).
When you were talking about the 1544 Band Sampler, you mentioned the floss color as being Chester Blue. Did you know that your great grandfathers name was Chester Zook? He died at a young age, even before I was born so I never knew him.
Great explanation of where to start the Carolyn Manning. I might need to jump on the bandwagon. Sorry I missed the call yesterday 😢. House of a Needleworker will be a finish for sure this year. Loving your birthday month plans so far.
Great video! I loved seeing all those Hawk Run Hallows. I am kitting up Map of HR and looking forward to a summer start on that. Your montages are beautiful. When I was teaching, I always crashed at the end of February/early March. The exhaustion of teaching is real even if you love your work. Have fun on your upcoming trip! Enjoy the down time.
This is my 1st time watching your channel, I really enjoyed it! In my personal opinion, you don't need to put anything in the H. It looks great with the changes you made.
lol.... that saying "i'll always come back" is what we say to our little grandkids when we leave them. They stand outside and wave goodbye and say they love us at least 50 times as our car pulls out and we wave out the open windows and say it. Sooooo meaningful
Carolyn on the Hummingbird SAL are you going to use 1 thread or 2 threads over 2? I ordered the Sullivan threads and kit as well….. Excited to start this, I’ve never stitched on 28 ct. before. I’m an Aida stitcher. Thank you for reviewing how you’re going to start in the upper left corner!

The kitten stitch is just soooo darling! I just smile so much while stitching it!
I started Hummingbird Garden. Thinking about doing each motif as a pillow.
That is a great idea!!
