You should try not to overlap the bleach on the already lightened hair. The only time you do that is when there’s a yellow band that needs to lift out and then you don’t want to leave it for more then ten minutes. Also toner does not do much damage to hair as long as you’re not using a permanent color as the toner. If it only requires 10 volume it is only depositing and will not cause damage. The higher developers lift the cuticle and that’s what causes damage.
Thank you!!! That's what I ended up doing but it took me four (long) days to figure it out... I was slumping around in a hat for at least four days before I realized clarifying shampoo would take it out. . . it also made my ends brighter!
@@veliabowers3566 you can do it!!!!! I bleached my whole head in September and I learned from TH-cam! My biggest thought is: you can do it yourself and make it look good!!!!! If you take time to research, make notes, and understand the process/places where mistakes can be made you can pull it off! And it's fun!
Wow, we just came to your channel from Lana Blakely’s comment section (we also recently started a TH-cam channel) and love your reaction at the end haha! I (Rach) would probably freak out as well internally. How did they turn out when they were dry? I feel like you could pull off that look ☺️💛Anywayssss keep up the great work! ☺🙌
Thank you so much for coming by and leaving such a thoughtful comment!!! I’m coming right over to watch your videos ❤️ it was NOT cute when I finished because it was like a purple to beige fade?? But I went out and bought a clarifying shampoo that normally strips out all “buildup” and it worked on the purple and the beige. My hair came out white!! 🥲🥳 it’s still pretty dry though
Poms are SO crazy lol. It really be like that!!! They are so protective! My robe is from Topshop and it looks like it's not available any more, but this is what it looks like!!! xx www.nordstrom.com/s/topshop-fluffy-faux-fur-hooded-robe/5126517
Sorry but that's false information. The dish soap helps because it clarifys the hair. Red is the opposite of green on the color wheel. Yellow would cancel out purple. The pigment in dish soap is not strong enough to do anything but strip the hair though.
I could never keep up with a platinum blonde, my natural hair is almost black, you can do whatever you want, but if you have like really dark hair, dont do this, you will fry it instantly, and the manteniance is too much, expensive, time consuming, i could nevaaa
keeping up with this has been an emotional rollercoaster!!!!!!! I definitely wouldn't recommend it either . . . but when I did it I decided I wouldn't bleach it all and then dye it back three months later so now I'm one year going strong!!! Or, going crazy if we're being honest hahaha
You guys what you don’t see is that this gave me a full mental crisis ... would you freak out?

In the future if you ever overly tone your hair, all you need is to use clarifying shampoo, helps drastically

omg thank you cutie!!!! That is the nicest complement!!! Comments like these make me want to keep going! ❤️
It came out gorgeous !
I bet it’ll look so good once it’s dry! next time you wash it that purple might come out more and it could look perfectly how you wanted it
It actually came out!!! I used a clarifying shampoo and it made the beige ends blonde again and took all the purple out. Heaven sent!!!!
@@kaylacupcake omg I wanna see how it turned out I’ve always wanted to bleach my roots but I always just end up doing highlights or something

@@Boudicaisback that's not true I've done it and it worked for me. and someone told me to do this.
@@lavernebrown-byrd6389 you need to look at a color wheel honey booboo
You can wash with dawn dish soap a few times for overtones too
I have heard that too! This is such a great tip to keep in the back pocket. :) Thank you!
