Fighters can promote a fight without having to resort to spitting, glassing each other, brawling outside the ring, making sexist and homophobic comments just to promote a fight. I think the Eubanks have just decided not to suck up to the promoter on this one!!!

By not showing up it just adds to the fight i think, you got people in a frenzy just to see the press conference, sometimes less is more, the less you see of someone the more special it is when they do finally appear, them not showing up for press conferences wont affect the numbers for this fight one bit, the fight sells itself.
I think Eubank Jnr will win on the night but all this press conference no shows needs to stop,the fans/press wanna see the insults/head to heads etc,helps the hype!

In a way, all this no show actually makes the build up more intense I think, and we'll all be caught off guard when they step in the ring. Who knows what will happen.

There are a couple more pressers and a weigh in to do yet, and it's in his contract for both fighters to show up.
I wouldn't attend the press conference(s) either, turn up on the night, do the business and move on.
Steve Collins got under Eubank snr's skin when they fought. It looks like he is trying to protect his son from bjs and getting under his skin. With respect, all this about being warriors and protecting dignity of boxing is utter balls. Bjs's previous record is exemplorary. Eubank snr is taking control and promoting the fight in his own way imho
if hes stopping his son from falling to mind games then he is doing the smart thing for his fighter, giving him the best chance to win.

what a great interview , like him or dislike Chris Eubank snr. he does know his stuff, i am a big fan of both of the Eubank's.call it what you want at the end of the day, but there is no law that say you have to do press conferences is there? , and the fight already sold itself from the well before it was confirmed due to this dislike for each other. i still believe that Chris Eubank jnr, is going to be a world champion boxer.and one for the british boxing history books, i realy hope he will skool saunders , as i sick of hearing him dis him, i hope chris make him look stupid but use the skill he has and with them power punches knock him clean out!!

I am someone who as gave my point of view on this matter and this is something everyone is entitled to especially on youtube's comment section because that is what its there for, Chris as only been concerned about his son since he got into the spot light so he can be famous for 5 minutes once again, I would never give my kids to another family to raise for me because there my flesh and blood and would do anything for them and will give them everything they need, And who are you to question my opinion ? Give your own reply to the video and don't worry about mine.

Your way of life is boxing i agree, many people before you and after you will promote boxing. Eubank snr was a good entertainer and good boxer, but he talks a power of utter shit. His attempts at coming off as a highly articulate philosopher of life etc are poor. He rambles on about utter shit while pinching his fingers etc to add to what he thinks are superior intelligent statements. About 80 percent of what he's said here is rambling nonsense, his son looks like he's got some skills though, more than enough to embarrass simple billy joe.

To keep it short, it took him over five mins to say his son did not show up at the press conferences as they were trying to avoid any possible confrontations. Plain and simple, no need for his dramatic pauses etc, just a thirty second answer required.

Not at all, but it still doesn't take over 5 mins to deliver the reasons as to why he failed to show up at the press conference. All this, if a man is serious, and you know him to be a serious man blah blah , is not an educated or intelligent way to explain something, we get the point with the normal short answer. Also, I haven't heard too many fathers refer to their son as ' substantial '. However, it doesn't bother me at aall and if you appreciate how he conducts himself during an interview then that's fair enough.
