    C’mon people,
    I’ve lived in Alaska for the past 50 years an much of it on or around the salt water.
    One thing I’ve learned about whales.
    When you ask yourself why are they here, and what are they doing?
    It’s always about food.
    Whales go where the food is.
    Always.
    Every time. Don’t get distracted by any other nonsense. Want to know what whales are doing and why?
    Check the food source and you’ll be correct!

      Commercial fishermen are at least 50% to blame for the loss of food sources for Orcas!!! The loud noise from their diesel engines interrupt their eco location sonar and that's how they find the fish!!
      I don't feel sorry for anyone who is exploiting the earth and the wildlife!!
      Nobody would like it if the Orcas moved in their homes, slobber up and pollute everything, eat all the food and feel entitled to do so!
      That's what man is doing to them! The very idea of a Orca doing something like that is absurd, but perfectly acceptable when man, the civilized most intelligent species on earth is acceptable! RIDICULOUS!!!

    • @ben.pueschel
      @ben.pueschel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Orcas have over 50 different food sources. They are just smart enough to know that these fish are already captured and that they don't have to waste a ton of energy to go hunting themselves. Hungry orcas often start to swim into other areas with more food sources available.

    We had a standard poodle that we adopted when she was 9 years old because she had 3 breast tumors and we wanted to remove them and spay her and see if we could save her life. My daughter was a doctor and she knew the man who owned her and he couldn’t afford the veterinary care. We had the surgery done and the pathology report came back positive for breast cancer and guarded prognosis. She loved Dairy Queen ice cream cones because the man used to let her eat them so we figured her life would be short so we let her eat them frequently. She lived another 7 years eating Dairy Queen ice cream cones but she could be upstairs asleep in my daughters bed and we were far away from her and we could whisper to each other we could take her for ice cream and she would wake up come downstairs and head right to the door to go get in the car to get her ice cream cone. We always thought she read minds. Or this old dog had incredible hearing even asleep.

      @@eunheejang9029 First of all, I work as guide and orca expert for a whale snorkeling company in Norway. We find this situation early morning with a fishing boat, the net was still outside with hundreds of tons of herring and..... a huge humpback whale trapped inside. When it happens with an orca, fishermen dont care about and they most of the time let the orca die. But with a huge humpback, they have no other choice than opening the net. Releasing the large whale and hundreds of tons of suffocating/collapsed herring. When they did so, we saw hundreds of orcas converging to our point, for the easiest meal ever, freshly killed herring. That was frantic. We were supposed to swim with them. But look, it wasnt place for us in this orca soup. We had to wait until the orcas spead out before we could go in the water😂
      So thank you to these guys to post this and sharing their opinion. But now you know the real and full story from those who filmed it.

    Okay, it could be a big family gathering but the birds above give away that there's feeding going on. Idk but it's good to see ocean mammals together and healthy. They are important. All mammals or not are important in the ocean. They keep it clean and in order. I love them all. Including sharks!!!

    • @thephantom9227
      @thephantom9227 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Buttikoferiii Well.... Megalodon actually is not that big, based on most recent discovery. Maximum length is no more than 50 feet/15 meter while most of Megs is about 11-13 meters. Yeah... indeed 5 Orca will be enough.

    • @Buttikoferiii
      @Buttikoferiii 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rusli Dharmawan exactly, finally someone who doesn’t over estimate its size “oh megalodon is 20 Metres long so it would destroy anything” I’ve been saying that the average megalodon is somewhere between 12-14 meters for like 5 years now lmao

    Recently a mega pod in the seas off the Australian coast apparently attacked a blue whale incessantly and ate it alive ! 😢😲. Given the increasing attacks on boats off the coasts off Portugal ,Spain and in the Mediterranean itself, I wonder what is going on with this species over the last year?

    • @poolqueen44
      @poolqueen44 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is what actually happens...they pursue the whale, grabbing at its dorsal fin, bumping into it, until it’s exhausted; I’ve read back in the 70’s, I think in readers digest, describing how a whale finally just gave up and let the orcas devour her, starting with the tongue. It’s brutal, but that’s nature. Survival of the best
