I lost the girl I thought I was going to marry in a tragic accident seven years ago this last August (has it really been that long?) She had a very kind heart, the kindest heart, and an incredible talent for music. I will never forget picking the chords for Rex's Blues while she sang, her voice, the honey gold light streaming in the window, I can't separate the senses in my memory now. She also danced ballet, so this video was profoundly touching to me. It's a sunny Tuesday afternoon with honey gold light streaming in my window and I broke down the moment I saw those slippers. I don't really know why I'm writing this. I miss you very much Angie. Chained upon the face of time Feelin' full of foolish rhyme Ain't no dark til something shines I'm bound to leave this dark behind
May you overcome the best way possible if you still haven't. That way which we get to be put when our minds transport us into that moment, those scenes... man. My best vibes are sent.

the chorus of the song is everything. the build up, the melody change, the lyrics... it's like that moment when all of the memories and nostalgia of all those moments come together and u feel connected to the whole universe, and then it all slips away, but that glimpse into the eternity was just enough - long as you run, i couldn't give u up.
This band makes me feel like i'm doing something right. Even the sad songs make me reflect on my life and push me foward. I sometimes wish I could live everything you guys live
They literally have a song for me for every situation in life... Like when words can't speak what you're feeling... They have a song that I can play someone and boom.
This song speaks to the heart. Life often feels like a failure to so many of us for not being able to obtain our dreams. But the greatest success to be found in life is the ability to dream itself and the reward is in the journey ever as much as it is in the destination. Never be afraid to dream big dreams. And never be afraid to fail. And never give up chasing after what you love.

One thing I love about The Lumineers is that all their songs have soul. There’s something so achingly human about all of them, and you can feel it. Every time I hear this, I’m reminded of memories, good and bad, and I feel things I didn’t know I could feel. This song has power. It’s beautiful. And it gets better every time.

This music means so much to me. I've had a very difficult and lonely last 3-4 years. This, that, covid, and something else. I always strive for the comeback but things always just fall right back apart. Though there's one thing I've been able to build in that time and it's my singing ability. And that's where you guys come in. It's always The Lumineers songs that I go back to and practice and practice. You sing the same song enough times and you start to feel a deeper connection to it. The one line that always gets me is "And I don't blame you for the way you're living." Every time I sing it or hear it, it's just a little reminder that maybe I didn't deserve all that. Being in a state of always having to pick up the pieces, maybe I'm just doing the best I can with what I got. Y'alls songs always just have a positive message. And it seems dumb, but if you just loop that message enough times, things start to feel better. Thanks for making all this stuff, it helps people.

I used to clean that parking lot every morning at 5/ 6 am one summer before the landscaping crew started its usual rounds . I remember my first job i applied for the day i turned 14 at the shoprite in the same interstate shopping center - I remember finding my first pack of cigarettes at age 13 "virginia slims" in the same parking lot when there was a boarders books there, we would go there to sample cds and just listen to music standing up with the headphones on sometimes for what felt like hours. Forever run!!! This band 👌 every single song just gets me and speaks to me .. thanks for everything The Lumineers You've probably saved me a few times as selfish as that sounds
This bands music speaks to my soul. I think no matter who you are you can get something out of there songs. if u listen to them you ur gonna feel something. That's real music. A band that writes there own lyrics, music, and sounds as ggod live as they do on. The radio, and the songs stay with you. I absolutely LOVE this band. They helped me thru my fathers death and so many other hard times in my life. If I ever see them I'm gonna cry they the whole thing!
Grief... what a feeling. I love how Wesley tells to the concert audience that they are naturals at choiring; The Lumineers are naturals too, just see how they make us feel with their music, what they transmit to us. Personally I got quite hooked up by the chorus, as many of you all surely did too. And we can stay in that place, but as far as I have seen in my life, it seems like the universe or the existence itself doesn't even care even a little bit about our lives, about who we are and what we deserve or not, however... I think we all (or at least, mostly) got the potential to have enough will so we overcome all of the sh*tty adversity against us; for some will be harder, for some easier, that's how probability and diversity plays its part. I really do hope that you, along with me get the f*ck out of our adversities and that we get to be fulfilled in any way by mostly, our will. And overcome the new ones coming in any later chapter of our entire lives. Than you, The Lumineers... you are pure gold, thanks for your beautifully done sound waves (and all of your songs intentions for us to feel).

I gotta be honest, I didn’t like this song when I first heard it. I felt like the chorus was a mismatch the to the rest of the song. But since listening to it more (like way more) it’s quickly becoming my favourite. The way the song just ramps up and how powerful the chorus is when playing full blast in my car, it’s really something. The lumineers never fail to impress me
"If the final chapter isn't ever after..." 💔💔💔 -Ours wasn't my love. But I'll never give you up. I'll always remember driving around blasting Gloria as I sucked down water bottles full of vodka. I finally gave it up. I just wish you were here to see me, 😥. RIP Jay. The Lumineers will always sing the soundtrack to our love. 🧡🧡🧡
Why are their videos so magnificent? Capturing the essence of human trials and tribulations perfectly? The vibes that go with their lyrics, vocals, instruments and then they top it off with visual cinematography. This is how life was meant to be felt, heard and seen
Seeing the concert in Milwaukee just before the world shut down got me through 2 hard years without live music in my life. It was very memorable and the music strikes so differently now, but also more meaningful.
It feels like the song you would here at the end scene of a movie leading into the credits. It’s just that good. It feels very retrospective and that’s what I love about it so much!

I can’t with this. My goosebumps hurt. I was blessed to see your show in Sconnie with my sons who introduced me to your angelic music.
If you have a fussy baby, just know that this song (and all the new songs) makes mine immediately stop crying. She's transfixed until the songs are over
My daughter LOVES THIS SONG TOO! She’s two though but it’s her favorite song! I’ve played it 717 times, according to Spotify wrapped, for her!
As always in love with another song by the Lumineers..
In past five days I have spent at least 24 hours of listening to this song, perfection❤️
once again, and yet the unpteenth time, THANK YOU the Lumineers for making it all make sense.. much love to this song
This band brings me back my highschool nostalgia
I went to the high school they filmed this video at…imagine my nostalgia
@@Superbl0bby There right now. What year?

@@Superbl0bby Graduating in 2022 here. Glad to see a fellow Ram lol
@@malt5948 hell yeah, can’t spell orgasm without go rams 🐏
Forever run!!! This band 👌 every single song just gets me and speaks to me
.. thanks for everything The Lumineers
You've probably saved me a few times as selfish as that sounds
The Lumineers, cada música me fisga! Feeling inexplicável! Sempre me surpreende!
Thank you for soundtracking my life. Been following you since the beginning. Thanks for the music.
it is incredible how each of your songs touch the depths of my soul, it never happened to me with any other artist
My favorite in this album by far 😍😍😍😍🥰 I feel so loved listening to this song! 🧡💛💜
I love AM radio and I love the Lumineers, so I feel right at home here.
What a masterpiece of a song
Precious Precise Paradise !
I hope all the band members live forever. And keep on making ART.
The Lumineers, vocês são perfeitos! É isso ♥️🇧🇷
their songs are my therapy
Period.
Grief... what a feeling.
The lumineers never fail to impress me
I have the exact same experience with this song!
@@noname-fq4mv me too!
Honestly it fits and doesn’t it’s realy weird
2:54 is my favorite part 💯🔥🙏🏾❤️
STARTING DECEMBER WITH THE LUMINEERS
How do you keep writing songs like it is your first album?! This is artistry and I am just blessed to be able to hear it.
Hometown band and shot at our mutual high school! Making Ramsey, NJ proud!
"If the final chapter isn't ever after..." 💔💔💔
-Ours wasn't my love. But I'll never give you up. I'll always remember driving around blasting Gloria as I sucked down water bottles full of vodka. I finally gave it up. I just wish you were here to see me, 😥. RIP Jay. The Lumineers will always sing the soundtrack to our love. 🧡🧡🧡
Beautiful 🌞
Love this, so much, with all my heart. I hope you guys know how much your music means to your fans.
The lyrics, the music, the vocals, the video, everything is perfect. This is true art.
3:25 I love the 2nd time they play the chorus and he adds a little more drums than the 1st time they play the chorus, amazing!
What a wonderful wonderful band! So creative!
Why are their videos so magnificent? Capturing the essence of human trials and tribulations perfectly? The vibes that go with their lyrics, vocals, instruments and then they top it off with visual cinematography. This is how life was meant to be felt, heard and seen
Will be listening to this song in the school it was filmed!
To the dreamer goes the dream
Love all of the NJ references lately 💕💕
Made me cry boys, we went to the same High School and now I miss it, absolutely beautiful
Seeing the concert in Milwaukee just before the world shut down got me through 2 hard years without live music in my life. It was very memorable and the music strikes so differently now, but also more meaningful.
RHS class of 2020! So cool to see this!
It feels like the song you would here at the end scene of a movie leading into the credits. It’s just that good. It feels very retrospective and that’s what I love about it so much!
Best Lumineers song! Very impressed.
im so proud. lumineers is getting recognized now ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
B E A T I F U L
