Looking back on this video, they don't do enough justice in explaining why Panzer Dragoon Saga is so great. Yes it has a dragon that shoots lasers, but it also has a dynamic combat system that goes beyond the basic turn-based formula, an intriguing story, and it utilized exploration and flight in a fluid and immersive way. The only person I felt like actually played the game was that one women who said that "back in the day it was the most cinematic rpg combat system I had ever seen in a game". Everyone else was just "Oooo!!! DRAGONS!!!! LASERS!!!!".
Oblivion was way better then Skyrim ..Up to Oblivion the series was evolving forward at each release until Skyrim came along and they streamlined it and dumbing the elder scrolls down more and more will be the trend now. Magic sucks in Skyrim compared to Oblivion. Don't get me wrong Skyrim is awesome, I put hundreds of hours into both Skyrim and Skyrim VR ..I understand skyrims popularity...it had mini-dragons and shouts and the main quest was really good, and the dungeons with the draugr were well done except for lack of enemy variety...though the guild quests in oblivion were better. But modding does fix some issues with Skyrim.
GTA was the game that introduced games to free roaming and is the king of Sandbox games. It showed games were not just about doing missions and going from level to level to progress through a game. You can do what you wanted and explore the atmosphere without restrictions. It was realistic as well

A funny story about STREET FIGHTER 2... when it came out for the SNES.. me and my friends would bunk off school and goto the local electronics store to hang around the demo machines.. we would all play each other.. one time .. this little chinese guy walked in.. he looked like an accountant... he turned to us and said.. erm.. what do the buttons do.. and we just looked at each other and smiled.. thinking.. this guy isnt going to be here long.. we can keep playing when hes gone.. so.. he puts the LEVEL up to SUPER MAX HARD MODE!! and we were all like.. WTF?? He then.. proceeds.. to COMPLETE!!!!!!!! THE ENTIRE FUCKING GAME!!!! Without losing a fight.. i swear to god this happened.. What we realised was, he was just asking what the button CONFIGURATION!!! was.. because u could swap it around in the settings.. Ill never forget that man.. so crazy..
So many great games here. I pretty much agree with the order of this list, for the most part. It's essentially in order of impact on the gaming world, than fitting anyone's personal preferences. If I were to put it in order of my absolute favorites, I'd put Final Fantasy VII, Castlevania: SOTN, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy VI, Dragon Quest IV, Chrono Trigger, and many others at the top, but I'm satisfied with this list for what it is.
GTA 3 Nearly cost me my college course... Luckily I had a great tutor who let me come back and finish the last few credits I needed.. I literally just said FUCK IT!!!
