- Now that we have a little bit more knowledge about midlane, and had the change of watching Pobelter play Vex at a Grand Master level, let's try to implement all these pieces of advice into a solo game!

When you're against an opponent that's just trying to force you out of the lane with spells, it's really important to avoid standing next to your creeps so that he has to choose between hitting you or them, and doesn't get to both harass and push the lane at the same time. Nasus especially (when building like a mage) can easily melt both your ranged creeps while chunking you at the same time.
There's also a really underappreciated item in low elo, "Corrupting Potion." It's an upgraded form of the Refillable Potion that replenishes every time you base, but heals way more and causes your next attack/ability to deal bonus damage: perfect for combating lane bullies who just want to make you recall constantly. Get that potion and upgrade your boots fast to not miss so much experience and gold.
Some builds (like that Nasus) are also extremely weak to ganks due to being squishy with no way to escape, so the build really only exceeds in a world where your jungler is 6 levels behind and sitting in your lane for some reason. 😅
Agreed with everything but the pot, its not even worth it with Singed anymore. Tbh, just focus on gameplay and decision making for now, season is about to end and so are items.
corrupting potion does not heal "way more" it has 3 charges instead of 2. you are spending an extra 350g over refillable for 100 extra hp, 75 mana each charge (arguably the most valuable part of cpot), and get a few extra points of damage on attacks.

IMPORTANT: chat is right about the 20 min surrender thing BUT 3-2 passing vote is only because you are doing quick play. ALL other modes require 4-1 regardless of how long the game has been going.
P.s. you can attack and destroy yoricks wall.

I think this is the point when Grubby should start playing draft, quick play seems kinda useless to learn with all the inting and trolling.
What do you do with inting and trolling in drafts tho?

@@CanyoufeelitnowMrKrabzz what about draft he doesn't like? I'm not saying to go draft because of bans, but the quality of games is much better, people generally play their roles and don't ff that much.
1. Drafts are better, but not because there is less trolls.
2. Define a troll / inter (it changes with elo)
3. Define 'learning' in league
4. Nobody is gonna wait 10 min to form a draft on lvl 20 acc every 30 minutes just to have marginaly better game.
Two quick things: It seems the chat says surrender vote works with 3 only in quick play, in draft it takes 4. The other thing is, when you hit the orb that reveals wards, hit them generally forwards when your team is ahead so you can take out emerny defensive wards and put down your own to provide deep vision. And when you're behind, hit the orb back into your jungle / lane so you can eliminate their deep wards in your jungle.
Hey Grubby, amazing progress just one thing - you placing that first ward SUB-OPTIMAL.
You may place it so you see almost to the river, just show the whole place - look where Pobelter placed it and where you still keep placing it EVERY game .. oh no! my eyeeeess xDDD
PS: in Pobelters game for Vex in time 3:10 .. look on minimap how much he see vs how much you see with your ward.
The minimap is one single most critical tool in whole league, you need to constantly look at it / be aware what is going on there.
In ward placing think about corners etc. when you place near wall inside pit you won't see much - for example, with that first ward of yours you may not see if jungler decide to go mid etc. You just get his presence on the camp.
i think grubby should consider playing duo or versus a coach, so he can get advice during the game on laning, since it can be very hard
true he should just play with his subscribers as a 5 man
the reason mid doesnt help jungle is because its a shorter lane so if you stay to help jungle u miss out exp and are behind from the beginning
Lyandri is a better item against enemies with a lot of health, your speels will deal damage based on their max health, void staff was also better because its good against tanks with a lot of magic resist, the item you chose to make is good against squishy enemies with low magic resist
Literally doesn't matter in a week.
liandry is pretty bad on vex though, you just need the burst damage from luden's or your whole kit is useless.
2 things I want to suggest
1. As a newbie, you MUST use your skill to last hit the cannon minion, don't try to last hit it with your auto attack, even pros failed tried to do that
2. Ignite most important use is to reduce enemies heal, not the damage, if you don't know which one can heal, use it on the enemy champ that's hard to kill, they will most likely have it, for example, this Nasus, or last time Renekton/Aatrox. If you find someone that will 1v2 or 1v3 your team, you need to Ignite them (and you need to use it early, don't wait to use it for a last hit)
What the Tryndamere did at 3:10 ish is actually good for you, you really want to get a shove in and base in that situation but its difficult to do so on your own. Junglers sometimes help shove waves up to speed up the process of getting a base off so you can out-tempo your opponent. (However I feel like the Tryndamere didn't actually _mean_ to do it here, he just accidentally did the right thing lmao)
When Vex has her fear ready (the passive) her ears glow, her resource bar under the mana is orange, she has no cooldown on her passive icon and her other ability icons change color to indicate it. That's a lot of reminders.
honestly the most frustrating thing about him playing vex is not using his e before his q when doing waveclear. also he really needs to press tab, like do it for his audience, i have no idea ever how strong everyone is.
also how is it that he still cant understand how vex fear works.
also the serious misinformation. only 3 yes votes is for quickplay or something like that. ive actually never ff'ed a game yet with 3 yes votes (outside an afk), and have played a bit of quickplay.
im pretty confident he is playing dumb on purpose when playing league. he is way smarter than he comes off here and i assume that is by design so backseat gamers have a treat wathching. conspiracy right here folks

i think you need basic technics 1st not the challenger level advise and couching.
Trading with abilities and attacks, lane zones, enemy champ skills and abilities and how to counter them basicly and cs if you can thats all for the beginning.

loving your lol gameplay, you should try ARAM also so you can interact with more champions and test fast combat
@Grubby One thing about Nasus is that he has lifesteal as a passive. So he can stay in the lane for longer than usual and if you go even on him while trading and not kill him soon ( i.e. in the next trade or so) he can outsustain you. So you should be careful when taking damage.
Also Nasus is just broken now. He was already extremely OP but the recent patch made him even more versatile than before. The Nasus in the game isn't even good, a good Nasus would completely carry and 1v5 late game.

On that 1v1 with Nasus on minute 930isb, I would have ran towards Tryndamere and turn it into a 2v1, in which case Nasus would have probably disengaged.

Love the "we got scanned" everytime rift changes.
You should consider playing draft pick instead of quickplay now, less noobs, you'll get used to counterpick and ban for ranked, and more meta matchups and jungles that know what to do

I've watched a bunch of your games, I can barely remember a time where you recall without having to clench or flip a coin to see if you get caught and die. I feel like it must be way harder to die recalling in dota or something because you seem super casual about it.

Hey Grub! Hope you see this! Been a fan of yours ever since you started the league series (so about... 3 weeks? lol) but I didnt reaize you've got some indonesian in your blood! As an indo myself, I think you are now one of my favorite streamer, INDOPRIDE! lol. Do you speak bahasa ?
The minions' current equilibrium in the lanes dictates whether the team feels like they are either winning or losing. At low elo, having good wave clear and mobility can easily cause a bunch of wins through surrendering. It's not really about character kill potential at low elo because that is less of a concrete fact, and requires a bit of skill to predict. Lane equilibrium is easily felt.
eventually moving into normal draft/soloq will give you slightly better teammates than what quick play offers. usually quick play players are incredibly bad or smurf’s.
Winning with that Tryn is wild. Sometimes the matchmaking will put a terrible player on the team but try to compensate with some much better player/s to bring up the average MMR. Tryndamere may have legitimately been an AI or like a 6 year old

As much as I don't like surrendering, making a sick play into enemy team surrender hits different.
Few pointers , you repeatedly took dmg to proc your passive when it's not a damage passive making you fall behind in hp while attempting to trade.
You stand on your creepwave when he's using an AOE ability letting him both harass and push the wave , we usually want to be to the side of the wave that way he will need to prioritise one or the other.
If you see your trades aren't working at all just push your wave with the abilities so he needs to do the same or he will need to farm under turret, be careful doing that against mobile champions that can jump on you and want an extended lane like Irelia.
Jungler pushing your wave isn't always trolling , you'll see that in ranked. The trynda was new obviously, but that first push wasn't bad in concept just the execution was criminal Xd
This is more knowladge based but a lot of theese offmeta pics have one ability that has a great scaling and if you build the resist itemes matching the dmg type they become useless .

Yorik prison is basically Nazeebo zombie wasll
The raptor ward is too early. They only last 90 seconds and buffs spawn at 1:30. If enemy decides to go Red -> Krugs -> Raptors you won't spot them because the ward will be gone. If you force the ward before lane starts it should be around 1:25, otherwise you can drop it whenever you crash your wave on waves 3/4, assuming you get the shove.

Hello Grubby, as a League player i wanted to try some warcraft 3, i saw some of your tutorials and want to try it, but i dont understand the classic vs reforged thing, does it matter which you have? Meaning can you play in reforged graphics vs someone who is playing classic graphics? That would seem a bit unfair considering the difference in fps.
Also its incredible how fast you can progress in LoL with your previous DOTA and W3 experience, what i think though is that whatever champion you are playing you should completely limit test, because knowing the limits of your champions is what decides most of wave management and teamfights, it does not matter that you are 0/15 as long as you learn what your champion is capable of when you que up for ranked soon!
reforged is the remaster, you can download the older original client if u want tho and in reforged you can choose between new or old graphics which come down mostly to preference as fps isn’t really a problem for most people
There's only one now; reforged. You can choose classic gfx if you like in settings
Heal yourself to full HP on fountain, 200HP is a lot if you have short over 1000.
the fear management is all u really need to be better here.

Against that tipe of harassing biscuits are the way to go. You get free improved heal and mana pots by trading. Its a skill on support tree

I think chat and even Grubby missed the real disgusting point of that game, is not the trindamere likes are the nasus likes, Trynda is probably just new at the game which is what it should be, the problem is the huge number of smurfs that ruin this new players game experience. Probably because they get smashed in their main accounts and want to farm some ego/noobs, or they mmr is so fucked up that they have to grind a new account. I think this is the issue that Riot should adress. It has to be so frustrating and demoralizing for real new players.

That's quick play for you. Random forfeit endings 100% of games. Very lenient surrender rules make the game more hard to enjoy 😢

That FF at the end! lol Yes unfortunately, this *is* League in a nutshell 😭. The consequences of Riot pandering to what I like to call the "tempo" player base. The company keeps facilitating that "FPS-feel" of non-stop action (which I vaguely remember Grubby describing the game as, or some aspect of the game).
This made me curious to watch Grubby play Dota and the game seems very different. For starters the map seems huge! Never seeing the game before, I think I can understand what Grubby meant now when he said, "I see things on the screen but they're just colors to me" 🤣But I gotta thank Avatar Grubby master of all RTS for piquing my interest on that one, definitely looked coool 😎
i play league alot nowadays, but the early games were so bad since i actually had some skill that got moved over from like wco3, i legit leveled up to 30 and stopped playing the game because my teamates were always griefing and it was annoying to play instead of fun (this was 2016), so i started playing again couple months ago and since i started at a lvl 30 account i wasnt playing with bots anymore and it got much more enjoyable i got to plat and im lvl 80 now.

I don't understand the mentality against surrendering. Nothing feels worse then sitting in an hour and twenty minute dota 2 game while your opponent just farms you. End and go next, should be the standard in all games.
Grubby should play some normal draft as well since there are not that many "Bots" and will prepare him better for ranked :)

Your journey in dota vs your journey in lol shows just how much of a better game Dota is, especially considering the players that play it. I feel like lol has too many noobs and smurfs in the same pool, it makes for terrible matches
Quickplay mode gives you a game in a short time.
RankedQ will be more accurate about matchmaking.

You are probably gonna ignore my comment, but I think you are severely sabotaging yourself by not playing on Draft Mode, Grubby. There are just some objectively better modes if you want more quality
I disagree, most smurfs que to draft the sec they can. The quality of games is better, but players tend to be better too.
I don't know why you just don't type in chat to Trynd.... Tell him that he gets gold and exp in jungle and is not helping anyone being in MID lane....

I'm surprised no one explain Grubby what dragons do... it's like 4-5+ video I saw him saying "I WAS SCANNED!" while in reality it's just map changing after 2nd killed drake. Also don't try to "snipe" people with 100+ second important yes SLOW ultimate without knowing how enemy champions works or if they have vision of you.
A to Z champion "check up" or some TL;DR with next coach would be better than just blindly running into every enemy and then yelling "I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT HE/SHE/IT DOES!!!" and dying. There is 0 experience... unless you plan to do same idiotic "maneuver" 10x time in a row until you figure it out (unless it's some ultra complicate champion so without reading all tooltips you will have no clue what killed you)
Suggest items are better for you. Follow most of the suggestions specially they sometimes change to enemy champions (you can see enemy champ icons under item suggestion). You are way too new to this game to bother checking items via item list or even asking chat. Learn how each champ work and what items does what first. Then you will buy items manually
he has chat disabled i think as everyone in league should have so i bet tryn has it disabled too
