I also called it. Man, do I feel like a hyper big brain genius right now. Haven't watched the season yet, though Which makes me feel like an idiot because now I've been spoiled... 💀
I'm loving the writing in Prime so far. This "betrayal" scene can be viewed in a number of ways, since from Nine's perspective, Sonic's the one who's the traitor since he only cares about restoring his own dimension while not considering what Nine personally wants. Sonic only sees Nine as just "another Tails" and is so used to his perception of Tails being his ever supportive sidekick, he doesn't realize that Nine isn't Tails and isn't going to let Sonic walk all over him. Nine is his own person and has his own personal life and struggles to begin with and even was willing to consider Sonic his friend, yet Sonic expects Nine to only see things his way and goes as far as to imply that Nine isn't "real" or isn't his own person after bringing up the "real Tails". This is just me, but it almost puts things into perspective with how Sonic views Tails since it comes off as Sonic usually taking Tails for granted as a friend and being so used to him being a pushover. While I understand the importance of Sonic wanting to restore the dimension he came from, I also understand Nine's reasons for wanting to create a new world (even if his idea of this new world has flaws in of itself in regards to social isolation) and why he is so angry at Sonic and ends up taking the Prism shards for himself. While it's selfish of Nine to do that and essentially abandon Sonic like this for his own goals, he still has valid reasons for doing so. Sonic's biggest enemy really is his own ego and the show makes it clear how Sonic is too reckless for his own good. This really is a moral dilemma where both sides have valid reasons for believing what they believe and doing what they want to do. One side ends up believing the other is the traitor even though the same can be said from the other side's perspective. That is top-notch storytelling. I can't wait to see where the direction of this storytelling goes.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Take serious notes, Frozen. You could've benefited from a twist as well-done as THIS ONE! But no, you just had to go the route of "Herp derp, let's make this guy who clearly wasn't acting evil earlier the villain!"
@@artbytesia Well, I'd say that Portal 2's twist villain was even worse from Hans from Frozen. Also, Portal 2 is one of my most despised games of all time.
@portalgaming8057 Worse? How can any twist be worse than someone just suddenly going all "If only someone really loved you" after giving a FRIENDLY SMILE when alone?
"It was our home." Sonic proving he is still incredibly dense and not realizing the shattered versions of his friends have no memories of him or his world whatsoever, because they're their own people... Maybe he's in denial.
The interesting part, is that even if Sonic was betrayed by Nine, the young fox also feel himself betrayed by Sonic, because when the grumpy young fox met the blue hedgehog, he though that he found his first friend, to the point that Nine wanted to shares his new perfect world with Sonic. But during the final scene, Nine only noted that Sonic considers him like another Tails, not Nine, as he want to retrieves the "true" Tails, showing him that Sonic only was interested in be his friend for be an alternate Tails, not for be Nine, adding the fact that maybe if the Paradox Prism is repaired and restores the reality to its original form, exist the possibility that Nine and the other alternate versions end disappearing, making that the young fox feels himself betrayed, leading him to take away the Prism shards to continue his plans without his former friend.
Yeah, unlike with Frozen, where I was just staring in disbelief at the screen when Hans was revealed to be the villain, here I actually felt for both Sonic and Nine.
And also, unlike Tangled Season 2, in that the betrayal of Cassandra was warranted, as Rapunzel treated her badly in "The Great Tree" episode, to sided with Adira above Cassandra during the arguments, adding that Rapunzel was notably irrespectul with her during the episode, even leading to that Cassandra ended with her arm burned, causing a notable strain in their relationship, that eventually leads to Cassandra to turn on in Rapunzel when she learns about her mother, leading Cassandra to betrays Rapunzel in the last episode of the Season 2. While in the case of Sonic, he treated fairly Nine and was even protective toward him, to the point of openly defends Nine when others were doubting from him, showing that the betrayal of Nine, only was by a disagreement between him and Sonic, than caused by a previous unfair and badly treament.
@@UltraWooshi The fact that the Prime versions of Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Rouge are in an inactive state after the shatter of the Paradox prism, while that all their Alternate versions are active without any issue, implying that the Prime versions cannot exist together with their Alternate versions. Though that we should wait for Season 3 to see if this theory is true or false.
I really like the idea of Nine becoming the main antagonist. I've always thought it was interesting how Tails and Eggman are essentially equals in terms of their intelligence and their skills as mechanical engineers. The big thing that has always differentiated them is that Eggman is selfish and ambitious while Tails is gentle and kind. I believe Tails always had the potential to become another eggman (if not even MORE dangerous) had he never met Sonic and been influenced by his kindness. That's essentially who Nine is, a Tails who never knew love. It's just something really interesting to explore.
They explored this in Sonic Adventure 2 and I think other games too, though never to this level of depth Tails and Eggman have always been two sides of the same coin
Without Nine, sonic couldnt have even hold the shards. So, Sonic was also right. They needed him. Nine is Tails, a version of him. And he really cared about Sonic
Better yet, it's the reason why Sonic needs Tails all the time. Tails is Sonic's "stop and think" buddy. So without him, Sonic would probably screw up the situation. In this case, Sonic thought this alternate version of that same buddy would follow along with his plan
@@lauren-qb9cf He had to. He was the only one left who was from the Prime World and knew Sonic very well. Especially his reckless behavior (part of the reason why the Paradox Prism shattered in the first place)
@@tailsfan10 it's true. but not literally. it's actually a good thing that Shadow didn't let magic like shard to split him up. because what if one of the Shadows are worse than Nine 😂
I really think that at some point during the 3rd season, Sonic’ll have to fight Nine in order to get the shards back from him. While it may seem selfish on his end, they’re both looking out for their own needs. Nine wants to make his own world, while Sonic (obviously) wants to restore his world back. To think this was all caused because Sonic nonchalantly jumped into the fight against Eggman without thinking about any consequences is astounding. Shadow was right the whole time. I semi-doubted him at first, but as I continued watching through the rest of the season, I started to see through to his words more and more. Nine isn’t Tails, but is his own person. He’s an iteration of him, but his personality is _immensely_ different.
Nine has all the reason to fight for his own good, he essentially says that he'll disappear/die if Sonic restores Green Hill. Nine can create an entire new world to suit his desires, to not be surrounded by manipulators, bullies, and other people. This is what makes Nine truly a superior tragic anti-villain.
@@TailsIsDisappointedHowever, if Nine does create a world in his image of being all alone and not surrounded with other people, then it will be his greatest mistake because isolationism will only bring more harm than good.
And like Miles wanting to save his dad, do we really know for sure what happens when the paradox prism is restored back in Ghost Hill and it brings Green Hill back there?
Here’s a fresh take: what if Nine didn’t mean he’ll disappear once Sonic’s friends were brought back. What if he meant that he’d no longer be welcomed as Sonic’s friend? “What did you think would happen to me when we brought your friends back?” “We’re all in this together. And I really think that you’d grow to love them as much as I do.” Sonic’s response implies that no one would poof, but that everyone would just be brought back. He’s thinking that Nine is concerned about his place in this friendship. But what if that really IS what Nine is talking about? Sonic would not longer have a need for him because he got his “real” Tails back. It’s a conversation that can have multiple meanings.
I'm pretty sure when Nine says "You just jump into situations with no idea of the outcome" he's referring to Sonic not realizing that if he brings his world back Nine and the alternates will disappear but ofc sonic misinterprets it with thinking it's a friendship problem
Dude Sonics friends "poofed" when he destroyed the crystal. They are gone, actually they are pretty much dead. Now these alternative versions exist, all are real, all are very much alive and all of them don't have a time limit like most mirror or alternative worlds go. Nine realizes that when Sonic colelcts all the Shards there is a very real possibility that Nine will die. And not just Nine. All the Tails from all the other Worlds will die too, as well as all the other characters. The idea that he's afraid of not being a Friend any more is very childish. I want the Writers to keep the ball rolling and make the story a lot more mature. There's a lot to work with here. I suspect Sonic to be a reflection of the Fandoms wish to"make things how they were". to me this Ending is almost like a challenge against the whole Fandom and if this is true, I'm all for it. I'm on Nines side on this one.
Teoria:as versões que não são as verdadeiras não vão estar em green hill mais eu seus respectivos mundos tipo a ferrugem do lugar nenhum vai para nova yoke assim elas vão continuar existindo
Not even that, really. He wants to live. To exist. What right does Sonic have to take that away? At this point it might actually be better to "wipe the slate clean" and begin a new. And hell maybe doing exactly that will bring back everything to how it was.
@@TurKlackSomeone else already beat me to it but it can't hurt to repeat points so: The definition of an Antagonist is simply a force that opposes the Main Character, also known as the Protagonist. Whether the Antagonist is Evil or not, the enemy or opposing force to the Protagonist would still be considered an Antagonist. Not tryna argue your point, just saying.
That's what happens when you deal with dimensional travel. Rule one: Do not expect alternates of your friends or family to behave like those of the dimension you come from. Sonic really didn't see this coming but I can't blame Nine.
This was a genius way to end season 2 and set up Season 3 in the most interesting way. It's been years since I've actually cared for Tails, but this version of himself has a lot to offer to the plot...I can't call him a villain, seeing things from his perspective, I'd probably act the same way, as for Sonic we know his intentions very well, there seems to be no right or wrong here if you sympathize with both characters, Sonic even insults him by insinuating he's not real...that's the ultimate betrayal right there, he's not seeing these alternate dimension characters as real people, wow didn't think this show would actually have moral dilemmas, I love it.
You can definitely see both sides.I don’t really consider this a “betrayal”because he didn’t have this intention the whole time,he was incredibly hurt himself because Nine was growing to love Sonic but was confused himself.I mean,he’s still an 8 year old kid who was abused and mistreated his whole life by people,I didn’t expect anything less. And of course poor Sonic who can’t see ANY version of Tails as anything less than,”His little buddy”.What they have is precious and Sonic (and the real Tails of course)obviously holds that very close to his heart. He should’ve kept a more open and careful mind though because it’s new territory and they’re different.I’d have to agree with Shadow halfway that Sonic shouldn’t have been so trusting, but at the same time Sonic being so kind to Nine got him far.So a good in between would’ve been ideal😅
Shadow was right about sonic not nine Sonic always rushes into situations never thinking about the outcome sure he means good but when you don't think about the outcome it becomes bad like with the prism and now with nine it's kinda ironic the the series stared because sonic rushed and didn't listen and (so far) the series ends with him rushing and not listening
@@k.kharles11037- so we’re going to forget about how Shadow attacked Sonic and demanded answers and he’s the reason why he was totally late to help out his friends. Like seriously he came out of nowhere and sucker punch Sonic.
No, he wasnt. Nine helped Sonic and saved him. Without him, sonic would have gone that far, he wasnt even able to hold the shards. Nine didnt want to disappear, but probably is the only person that could repair the prism
At his core he’s tails but sonic failed to acknowledge it’s not the tails he knows. Sonic doesn’t know anything about this iteration of tails. He’s not just a copy and paste of the tails he knew. He has his own inhibitions, his own experiences, and worst he has his own insecurities which is a trait that is universal to all tails and this was what drove a wedge between them. Nine never once believed he could someone and now due to sonics carelessness he thinks he’s just a tails replacement. This is greatly shown when he reacts with hostility to being called a little buddy. He realized this whole time “he just sees me as tails he doesn’t recognize I’m nine”. And shadow tried to warn him of this and to tells sonic not to assume he knows them he doesn’t know what they are capable of.
I know Sonics always jumping into things without thinking about him but he never gives up on someone. Somehow I still think that Sonic believes Nine is good at heart, despite everything it’s hard to believe Nine could be good.
Not going against anyone here, but, I kinda agree with Nine here. The only reason this all happened in the first place is because Sonic just dived head-first into Eggman without knowing the Paradox Prism was in the way, and even though his friends warned him, he still did it. So, again, I agree with Nine on this one. Sonic clearly did not have any notion of the consequences of his blunder, and this is where it brought him now.
I’m on Sonic’s side here, but Nine did make some good points. But if Nine succeeds in his plan; making his world where he’s all alone, it’ll only harm him more.
Um, why would Nine be harmed more in a world where he's all alone? He wants to be alone, because he has no trust in anyone except himself. Nine would be harmed in a world where people try to bully and hurt him.
@@portalgaming8057If he's alone, he would never learn that not everyone is a bully, that there are people he can trust. If he creates a world where he's all alone, he would make him even more isolated than he already is.
@@animegamefan8678 That makes absolutely no sense, because Nine doesn't trust anyone. To him, being alone and isolated is a literal paradise and relaxing time. Not everyone is a bully, but Nine never met anyone who hasn't bullied or annoyed him, until meeting Sonic, and eventually, Nine realised that Sonic has different goals, so he decided to take the crystals for himself, to ensure himself a safe new world where he isolates himself in happiness and relaxation, due to all the bullying he somehow put up with.
Due to Shadow's Reaction on this last Scene I have a feeling he is gonna either: Beat up Sonic for not listening Yell at him and punch him or: Keep Calm and They work together to get the shards back straight away
I saw this scene back in July 13th, when Nine took the shards, went back to New Yoke, I was like "LOOK WHAT YOU DONE TO SONIC, NINE!!!!!! HOW IS SONIC GONNA GET BACK HOME NOW!!!!"
This is a twist villain I can accept, there was speculation about Nine possibly betraying Sonic as hinted by Shadow and Nine’s design and personality. I wonder how this all plays out in season 3
to be fair, Sonic has massive guilt, wanting to trust and protect the alternate dimension versions because their still his friends in some shape or form and doesn't want to lose 'em again, but, also wants to save his friends to undo his mistake, if anything, I'm on Sonic's side but I also understand Nine's plight, being bullied and living in essentially a dystopia, it's reasonable, but his desires will not only isolate himself, but genocide everyone else from existence in the process, so while I get it, it ain't gonna end well if he succeeds
Like Shadow tried to tell him needless of any similarities they may have had with their original friends Sonic especially cannot ignore that they are entirely different people all together And him treating Nine like he was his original tails resulted in all of this happening
I hope the execution be better than Tangled the series. I didn't like how Cassandra was easily forgiven after the big mistake she made, if Nine finds out that his dream isn't accomplished the way he wanted (it's a theory I have), it might be difficult to Sonic to forgive him. And one of the lessons Sonic has to learn besides not to be so impulsive, is not to be too trustful. Like Cassandra said: "You have to be careful who you trust".
Maybe Nine will not end up creating the world he wanted, but end up creating a world even worse than his old one. Maybe he'll realize too late that he should have listened to Sonic. Either way, I see Shadow beating the living piss out of Sonic next episode.
There's an episode in season 1 where Nine explains his intentions to Sonic...Sonic simply chooses to ignore the idea since he believes Nine will change his mind about it and here's the result of that. Shadow's been right the entire time.
@FarAwaySoda Definitely something Frozen's twist was missing: foreshadowing. If there was any, it was way too subtle to notice. Plus, do I need to mention how after the boat tips after Anna leaves, Hans, who is ALONE, by the way, gives a FRIENDLY smile? Or how about the fact he DOESN'T kill Elsa while she's in the dungeon, even though he says later his plan is to do so? Foreshadowing? What's that? There may be the part with the chandelier, but you'd think Hans would consider it'd be easier to just let that one guy shoot her with the arrow.
XD same here to make it interesting I just read the description of S2 episode 8 or (episode 16) and when I read Sonic, Shadow and Nine all teaming up and that interesting scene of crystallise Eggman, I just had to click it. Even though it spoil the whole upcoming betrayal for me.😆 I will say I probably just like you would of never seen it coming, or may of guess something happening, but never would of guessed the writers to actually go along with this plot twist.😅 I will say when I was going through the episodes later from S2 episode 5 - 8 yeah yikes! I am super shocked and surprised the writers would have the guts to do this, especially in a kids show. 😮 Really shows which I like that this show is not for just young children but for everyone, especially for such an emotional betrayal at the closing of season 2 and even the building up emotional stress on Sonic after shattering the prism. Definitely very looking forward to Season 3, will be worth all the wait.😀
I have a feeling season 3 will have a Shrek 4 arc which Sonic learn a tough lesson about not only his brash actions, but also be grateful of what he have
I could imagine that: Sonic: You know, I always thought I rescued you guys from the shatterverse. Tails: You did. Sonic: No, it was *you guys* that rescued me
That's my theory regarding the third season Why would Nine want to restore Green Hill ? He has no connection to it , no memories .... . He's not ready to sacrifice himself for the sake of sonic regaining his old world . The next season will most probably resolve this issue with putting forward the fact that fabric of the shatter-space is being destroyed due to the permanent portals the Chaos council opened This would open some sort of a black hole that would destroy everything The only solution to the inhabitants of the shatter spaces is to restore the original Green Hill zone or everyone is doomed This is the only way Nine would agree to restore green Hill zone . His reality should be disappearing .
actually the reason why the shatterspaces are being destoryed is because nine fix the paradox prism só the shatterspaces are recombining in order to restored the original universe also ghost hill isn't sonic's green hill is another shatterspace and sonic's green hill didn't come back that was just ghost hill got completed and the ghost hill group aren't the originals just shattered characters designed to copy the originals

I’m on shadows side for once he’s my favorite even if he dislikes sonic or fights him there a good team but since nine stole all the shards he’s really angry I hope when season 3 is out green hill is fixed
Nine wasn't to wrong, sonic think that everyone would do the things like him, nine say that sonic never ask him about what he wants and it happens with the normal tails, even in the begging we can see that sonic don't listen tails and always is think about what he think is right and that's one of the reason why all this is happening
This is really fear vs grief if you think about it. Nine's afraid of being erased if the prism is reformed and he wants to remake the world so he's in control (which is a fear response). Then there's Sonic, who lost his whole world and everyone he loved and is stuck in denial and bargaining. He has to believe that they're not "really" gone, and he's making this deal with the universe, like "I fix this, you fix that."
"Nine. GROW. UP. You act like you are the only one suffering. But I believe that Sonic has some stories for you. And I can assume they all end with 'And then he died too.' Shadow was right. You think you're better than everyone else. But there you stand, the good man doing nothing. And while evil triumphs, and your rigid self-centeredness crumbles into bloodstained dust, the only victory afforded to you is that you stuck true to your guns. You were a coward. To your last whimper."
Sonic wants to fix the grave error he made to revive his home and his friends. It's that simple. Nine wants to start a new at the Grim. That bare-bones, deserted area. Bro thinks this is Minecraft Creative mode 💀
If I’m honest Nine is kinda right. After all why would Nine do all this to bring a world he never even seen. Also the “what do you think would happen to me when you bring all your friends back” I think Nine thinks he will end up disappearing when everything returns to normal and I agree with him. Also, Sonic sees him and all the other verses Tails as Tails and Nine hates it as him and Tails are 2 different people. The whole time Sonic has been calling Nine “Tails” or “Tails Nine” and Nine feels just as betrayed as Sonic knowing he isn’t even Sonics real friend. (Sorry for the bad English😭)
@@bomberhood7234 Well Season 3 is the final season. It’s been confirmed to have 24 episodes. In all honesty this is really season 1 but what Netflix likes to do is split the season in three parts. Stating the parts season 1, 2 and 3. 8 Ep’s X 3 pts/S’s = 24 Ep’s So I guess we will have to see if that song plays at the end.
After all of that shit about calling Nine real, the reality was he just saw him as Tails and assumed he’d become like him. This also shows that at times Sonic will devalue Tail’s opinion and assume that he’ll just say yes to him
1:27 I thought he'd reply with, "I'm not Tails!" but he instead said, "I am real!" As someone who's not a sonic fan, I still find these Nine clips hit surprisingly deep.
Betrayal, Evil, Antagonist? Pretty hard words for someone that is a very separate but very own individual. What right does Sonic, and through Sonic the whole Fandom really have to "delete" all the alternatives? Sonics whole reason is the same the fandom has, return everything to how it was. It's because of that reason that I'm actually rooting for Nine. I'm certain that everything will go back to normal inevitably but I wish this will not be the case.
To be fair he really never was the sidekick. In season 1 he was a individual who helped Sonic but also did his own stuff off screen. Season 2 sort of tricked us in that regard.
I’m hoping that Sonic will restore his world, but Nine can still exist and have his world too and maybe he’ll get an alternate Sonic to hang out with. That’d be sweet, because no matter what,if there’s a Sonic,he should have a Tails (and vice versa)❤
I fear that the next season with end in a bittersweet finale. Either Sonic restores the crystal and everyone in the shatter-verse, including Nine, dies Or Everyone survives but Sonic never restores his own world Or best case, they find a solution that kills no one
@@LSF17 He probably is talking about beating Sonic to a pulp as well since Sonic keeps proving Shadow wrong every step of the way with his constant fuck ups.

Shadow's right about Nine. And seriously, I'm glad Sonic's gonna make it up to all of us at the end, but he should at least try to use that empty hamster wheel in his skull he calls a brain which he rarely does.
In season 3, Sonic will have to choose and it's not an easy one, defeat Nine and save his trapped friends or not and keep his Shatterverse friends, Sonic is stuck in a hard place and there is no way out of this

i think the only reason nine decided to team up with sonic is because he wanted to build a home on grim look here Nine:the only reason we came here is because i wanted the prism's impression as a blue print to see which pieces went where, now that all but that last one is in place we could rebuild the grim into what we've always wanted
Sometimes I imagine if there was a spirit in the paradox prism and would say to sonic " originally my intent was to awaken when ypu first found the shard in new yoke, then to guide you to the other shards and assist you on piecing it back together".
Future Trunks explained this to Kid Trunks in Dragon Ball Super. Much like how Tails and Nine are not the same person even though they're biologically identical, Future Trunks and Kid Trunks are also not the same person. Plus, Future Trunks told Kid Trunks that fixing one reality will not save other realities.
Not at all surprised this happened, but damn some part of me wanted to believe that Nine wouldn’t betray sonic but logically why would he? Him helping sonic means his and his entire universe’s existence getting wiped
No one talking about the fact that because Sonic and Shadow have none of the prisms anymore, they literally can’t get back to the shatterverse? I’m calling it some glimmer of the shard broke off or something.
No, they can, even without the Shards. Ghost Hill is the only Shatterspace that Shadow can enter, while Sonic can freely traverse the Shatterverse at will. He can enter and exit the Shatterspaces when he's moving fast.
@@denishiawilliams895 just had a look at Avoid The Void. Didn’t realise both Sonic and Shadow managed to leave Ghost Hill running fast even without the shards. I do wonder then what the repercussions of Nine having the shards are, beside the whole restoring Green Hill being prevented.

Like, Nine wants the shards to return to the grim, but that’s because he wants to build life there. Either the shards become unstable and out of Nine’s control, or Nine becomes a dictator over the Shatterverse out of fear for others due to Sonic showing himself as uninterested in Nine as an individual and not as a copy of Tails.

@@-originalLemon-I say that Shadow seeing Sonic’s trusting Nine as a liability.
@@-originalLemon-just like that page in the series gravity falls
@josecuestas7246 I understand nines because he feel like he is being used by sonic by creating his reality.
And what makes you think that he and then others would automatically Disappear if the shards was repaired?
They explored this in Sonic Adventure 2 and I think other games too, though never to this level of depth
Tails and Eggman have always been two sides of the same coin
The way nine said that proves that Sonic’s biggest enemy is his own personal ego
Something Prime Sonic shares with his IDW and Archie versions, unfortunately.
Consistency!
Shadow: WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT NINE?!?
Sonic: Shadow listen, I’m sorry!

Who could blame Sonic? That’s the closest version to Tails he’s ever gotten since this whole series started.
Without Nine, sonic couldnt have even hold the shards. So, Sonic was also right. They needed him.
Nine is Tails, a version of him. And he really cared about Sonic
He isn’t exactly a villain, it breaks my heart when people say he is, he just wants a better world
He may not be but most villains want a better world including wiping out everyone.
For example the Meterex from
Sonic x in some ways.
So they may think what their doing is good but are still villains.
So he may end up being a anti villain. Aka one that could be redeemed or he may be a anti hero. We’ll see.

1:48 - 1:53 this part is sad yet very true. It’s like what if Tails is brave enough to express his thoughts towards Sonic
Better yet, it's the reason why Sonic needs Tails all the time. Tails is Sonic's "stop and think" buddy. So without him, Sonic would probably screw up the situation. In this case, Sonic thought this alternate version of that same buddy would follow along with his plan
@@tailsfan10and yet. It's like Shadow took his place. without doing it on purpose.
@@TailsIsDisappointedabsolutely. I think at this rate, it’s all gonna come down to a morality check between the two.
@@TailsIsDisappointedHowever, if Nine does create a world in his image of being all alone and not surrounded with other people, then it will be his greatest mistake because isolationism will only bring more harm than good.
Even if Nine isn't Tails, he does need one thing on what he truly deserves and that's friends. Not just one, but a lot.
“What did you think would happen to me when we brought your friends back?”
“We’re all in this together. And I really think that you’d grow to love them as much as I do.”
Sonic’s response implies that no one would poof, but that everyone would just be brought back. He’s thinking that Nine is concerned about his place in this friendship. But what if that really IS what Nine is talking about? Sonic would not longer have a need for him because he got his “real” Tails back.
It’s a conversation that can have multiple meanings.
Nice catch, albeit a cliche move if true, but still a very plausible misunderstanding between the two.
Kind of how Savitar went with Flash in Season 3. The time remnant wasn't accepted because it wasn't the real Barry Allen. Different subject.
Not a villain, but the antagonist.
Not even that, really. He wants to live. To exist. What right does Sonic have to take that away? At this point it might actually be better to "wipe the slate clean" and begin a new. And hell maybe doing exactly that will bring back everything to how it was.
@@TurKlack Well antagonist fits, is the opposing force that faces the protagonist which is is what Nine became. Villain doesn’t fit imo.
@YosueMind In any case, it's the right way to do a twist. Not the cruddy, shoehorned way Frozen did one!
@@TurKlackSomeone else already beat me to it but it can't hurt to repeat points so:
The definition of an Antagonist is simply a force that opposes the Main Character, also known as the Protagonist. Whether the Antagonist is Evil or not, the enemy or opposing force to the Protagonist would still be considered an Antagonist.
Not tryna argue your point, just saying.
Shadow did try to warn Sonic.
That's what happens when you deal with dimensional travel. Rule one: Do not expect alternates of your friends or family to behave like those of the dimension you come from. Sonic really didn't see this coming but I can't blame Nine.
"The power of the shards....in the palm of my hand."
Maybe the producers got inspired by Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man to make Nine, but nice reference 😅
At the very end, you can see sonic break his SEGA mandate and cry from his pain of being betrayed by his bro. Made me cry a little ngl
Shadow was right; "He's not Tails, He's Nine and they're not your real friends!" Maybe just listen to your clone on this one Sonic!
Then again he still cares for Nine because nine has sonic as his only friend sonic was trying convince him to help Rebuild Green hill
I’m wondering how they’re going to fit the last season into 8 episodes
Even you are referring to the kid as the 'real' Tails. Wouldn't you mean the Tails Sonic knows?
But he betrayed Sonic deliberately while Sonic didn't.
Take note, Frozen. There's doing twist villains well, and then there's you.
So Shadow was right about Nine. Not surprised.
Shadow was right about sonic not nine
Sonic always rushes into situations never thinking about the outcome sure he means good but when you don't think about the outcome it becomes bad like with the prism and now with nine it's kinda ironic the the series stared because sonic rushed and didn't listen and (so far) the series ends with him rushing and not listening
Yeah to Be fair there are a few Sonic games that involve sonic doing smt like that e.g. Sonic The Lost World
@@k.kharles11037- so we’re going to forget about how Shadow attacked Sonic and demanded answers and he’s the reason why he was totally late to help out his friends.
Of course he was, which is why I like shadow. Though sonic has good heart, it’s not his fault.
What if Sonic was BETRAYED by NINE and TRAPPED in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?
That's dumb.
Nine tells Sonic he has a choice between the saving the world he loves and saving every other world in the shatter-verse!

Yea
That's like say "fuck the original world, they deserve die because sonic is an idiot"
Im actually glad Nine established the unfortunate problem with Sonics quest: His and all the alternates disappearance
Shadow did try to warn Sonic.
Yeah, I actually felt sympathy for both sides. A true testament to good writing.
Due to Shadow's Reaction on this last Scene I have a feeling he is gonna either:
Beat up Sonic for not listening
Yell at him and punch him or:
Keep Calm and They work together to get the shards back straight away
2:27 Zoom in to Sonic down the big rock Shadow is standing at, he looks like his on the verge of tears
I saw this scene back in July 13th, when Nine took the shards, went back to New Yoke, I was like "LOOK WHAT YOU DONE TO SONIC, NINE!!!!!! HOW IS SONIC GONNA GET BACK HOME NOW!!!!"
I predicted he would turn in the finale, but I would call nine a villain, more like an anti-hero.
This is a twist villain I can accept, there was speculation about Nine possibly betraying Sonic as hinted by Shadow and Nine’s design and personality. I wonder how this all plays out in season 3
1:32 Not gonna lie but I find that Sonic look so cute and adorable when he look sad in this scene!! He so cute!!
Thor: I can't believe Shadow the Hedgehog was right.
Hela: Thor, turn the cameras off.
to be fair, Sonic has massive guilt, wanting to trust and protect the alternate dimension versions because their still his friends in some shape or form and doesn't want to lose 'em again, but, also wants to save his friends to undo his mistake, if anything, I'm on Sonic's side
but I also understand Nine's plight, being bullied and living in essentially a dystopia, it's reasonable, but his desires will not only isolate himself, but genocide everyone else from existence in the process, so while I get it, it ain't gonna end well if he succeeds
Shadow what right this entire time nine isn't tails he's nine
Yeah,Shadow:He can’t be trusted,No he’s not Tails He’s Nine and they aren’t your real friends
Like Shadow tried to tell him needless of any similarities they may have had with their original friends
Sonic especially cannot ignore that they are entirely different people all together
And him treating Nine like he was his original tails resulted in all of this happening
This is like Disney tangled the series seasons 2 &3 all over again.
"What did you think would happen to me when you brought your friends back?"
Oh man. Nine knows. He knows he wouldn't come back from that.
Maybe Nine will not end up creating the world he wanted, but end up creating a world even worse than his old one. Maybe he'll realize too late that he should have listened to Sonic.
Either way, I see Shadow beating the living piss out of Sonic next episode.
No I think he’s going to attack Nine when he see him
“You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
How in the world did people predicted Nine's betrayal?! I sure didn't see this coming.
Well neither did I.
Even though it spoil the whole upcoming betrayal for me.😆

I am super shocked and surprised the writers would have the guts to do this, especially in a kids show. 😮
Really shows which I like that this show is not for just young children but for everyone, especially for such an emotional betrayal at the closing of season 2 and even the building up emotional stress on Sonic after shattering the prism.
Definitely very looking forward to Season 3, will be worth all the wait.😀
@@lizzybunny5436 That's another nice thing about this show: It isn't afraid to get dark when it wants to. Frozen is a little too kiddy.

That's my theory regarding the third season
Why would Nine want to restore Green Hill ? He has no connection to it , no memories ....
.
He's not ready to sacrifice himself for the sake of sonic regaining his old world .
The next season will most probably resolve this issue with putting forward the fact that fabric of the shatter-space is being destroyed due to the permanent portals the Chaos council opened
This would open some sort of a black hole that would destroy everything
The only solution to the inhabitants of the shatter spaces is to restore the original Green Hill zone or everyone is doomed
This is the only way Nine would agree to restore green Hill zone .

…Nine had a point, yeah I SAID IT!!!

And while evil triumphs, and your rigid self-centeredness crumbles into bloodstained dust, the only victory afforded to you is that you stuck true to your guns. You were a coward.

As someone who's not a sonic fan, I still find these Nine clips hit surprisingly deep.
Betrayal, Evil, Antagonist? Pretty hard words for someone that is a very separate but very own individual. What right does Sonic, and through Sonic the whole Fandom really have to "delete" all the alternatives? Sonics whole reason is the same the fandom has, return everything to how it was. Screw it for being a sidekick for too long, imma be a main antagonist

This hurt my heart a lot I really hope sonic gets a dark form in season three and puts nine in his place
I have a theory that when all the shards are put together they will erase all realities except for green hill and nine doesn’t want to disappear
That's what Nine essentially said in the episode, "What do you think will happen to me?", he will simply cease to exist.
So I guess they would dissappear like classic sonic from sonic forces ending?
@kareemsarhan3480 I meant like at the end, nine at the temple will start to fade away like classic sonic did in forces
Im am foreseeing a punch in the face fro Shadow in episode S3 E1
Can't wait to see Shadow beat him to a pulp.
100% that’s how the next season is gonna start out, and rightfully so. Sonic’s a füçkįñg idįøt.
Sonic will probably stop him
@@LSF17 He probably is talking about beating Sonic to a pulp as well since Sonic keeps proving Shadow wrong every step of the way with his constant fuck ups.
How has sonic not realized yet that he has a Shard absorbed into his body? after dimension hopping, seeing shadow unable to do the same? come on he should of figured it out by now...
To be honest, I haven't even thought about that.
@@TailsIsDisappointed Oh I thought everyone watching episode after episode would of noticed that? its only through Nine's technology that Sonic can control the shard in his body's dimensional energy allowing him to dimension hop.
@@cursedclash He does? What color is this one? Cyan? Orange? And TBT, I just figured he had a large amount of the Prism's energy, since he did have a full on Collision Course with the Paradox Prism.
@@denishiawilliams895 there are a few theories, but Cyan or Purple seem to be the most likely, think about this, if it only took that Shadow would just need the gear Sonic has to dimension hop like Sonic, but its not the case, the gear is to control the prism shard absorbed into Sonic's body, So Shadow would have to pull that shard out and have the gear to control the energy to dimension hop like Sonic
@@cursedclash Fascinating. Now let's talk about the possibility that Nine & the rest will remain after the Paradox Prism is fixed.
Did you even consider what I wanted?!
Both foxes that I love posting IN MY BIRTHDAY?THIS IS GODDAMN AWESOME!
It's disappointing, isn't it, Tails?

I'M SO DISAPPOINTED

@@TitanspeakerMan_from_56what are you going to do to nine
@@wizzkid2008 I WILL KICK HIS ASS
Shadow's right about Nine. And seriously, I'm glad Sonic's gonna make it up to all of us at the end, but he should at least try to use that empty hamster wheel in his skull he calls a brain which he rarely does.
Sonic truly is naive in thinking Nine was like his own Tails.
I think he was right, I watched the sneak peek and finds out that he will be the villain next year 2024
I predict that by the end of all this, they would end up starting their own Flashpoint, or more thematically fitting their own Super Genesis Wave.
We got Metal Sonic: An evil Sonic
We got Nine: An Evil Tails
Now we need Reverse Knuckles
We also got Rusty Rose: An Evil Amy
I could see Dread being that. Imagine the finale being Chaos Council vs. Dread vs. Nine vs. Sonic and Shadow.
@@DowntownWithBrown THE WAR OF 4 ARMIES!!!
Captain Dread is basically evil knuckles already. Alternatively, there is also Enerjak Knuckles from the Archie comics.
@@B-rex395theres also alternative for evil sonic which is fleetway super sonic from the fleetway comics
In season 3, Sonic will have to choose and it's not an easy one, defeat Nine and save his trapped friends or not and keep his Shatterverse friends, Sonic is stuck in a hard place and there is no way out of this
actually ghost hill isn't sonic's green hill is another shatterspace and sonic's green hill didn't come back that was just ghost hill got completed and the ghost hill group aren't the originals just shattered characters designed to copy the originals
Leaving the door open is one thing, but letting Nine get away with the shards? Not cool, Sonic.
i think the only reason nine decided to team up with sonic is because he wanted to build a home on grim look here
Nine:the only reason we came here is because i wanted the prism's impression as a blue print to see which pieces went where, now that all but that last one is in place we could rebuild the grim into what we've always wanted
I can’t believe he did this
Sometimes I imagine if there was a spirit in the paradox prism and would say to sonic " originally my intent was to awaken when ypu first found the shard in new yoke, then to guide you to the other shards and assist you on piecing it back together".
2:20 Shadow angry at Sonic again. He was right about Nine all along.
@@Mysteriousmachine1 Maybe he'll go crazy insane like Dread, or maybe something even worse. Who knows?
@@denishiawilliams895 Dread was born with an excessive lust for jewellery by his history being the captain of pirates. The shard didn’t change his brain, it just gave him a motive for acting like he does.
The shards did give Sonic powers, which Nine engineered them to do. Who’s to say Nine won’t make himself more powerful?
But even if he is, I do hope there’s more unexpected twists than just Sonic and Shadow fighting Nine to restore Green Hill.
@@Mysteriousmachine1 I quote Bowling For Soup, "The Possibilities Are Never-Ending"
“I AM REAL”, that gave me goosebumps, seriously Ashleigh ball has done an amazing job as tails in this show especially as nine
the third season that will come out at the beginning of 2024, which will be the last of the series, I'm curious to see what will be the ending, will sonic and shadow manage to rebuild everything, or will nine do the world's thing by wiping them out from the face of the earth unfortunately we will have to wait until early 2024 to find out
This seems like a perfect opportunity for Silver to pop up at some point. But I imagine he's going to be PISSED at Sonic.
I'm pretty sure he can't. Mobius is in a standstill. And he primarily travel's to Sonic's time if the future is in peril.
2:26 *zooms in to sonic* PAUSE. WHAT. IS….. THAT?!?!?
