Actually it makes sense because I've seen this on PC usually the higher the voltage the more heat is generated and because of that something called thermal throttling happens and that reduces the performance regardless of how powerful the cpu while a cpu with lower voltage is more likely to out perform the other due to the lesser stress on the cores
is genshin getting heavier over time? because i definitely remember playing genshin impact on my old xiaomi mi8 with well above 30fps, so its weird that the best you can get today is around 48 fps

I’ve got the 6/128 version, and no 2GBs of RAM doesn’t affect gaming in any way as long as you clear up other apps first Most games don’t use that much RAM to run, as for example here Genshin only uses just shy of 2GB max (you can see it in PerfDog overview screenshot) In my experience you only feel the benefits of more RAM if you start to open up other apps, switching in between them (let’s say discord, browsing, screen recorder, and gaming at the same time) then you’ll notice the benefits of something like 12GB of RAM on the F4 GT for example
the thing with snapdragon 8 series is that you need to cool it properly to unleash it's full power. IIRC the F3 cant run genshin properly with no fan and here we are the F4 runs it very nice even with no fan. both using S870. now we know that POCO has learn to tame the 870 but nope, the 8 Gen 1 is a different beast. although it is much better than the 888, that thing was a toaster lol another example of the 8 series, if you know the AYN Odin Pro, it uses the old 845 but with proper tuning and active cooling. and dang it, it can run Genshin high 60 with ease for hours. No S845 phone, yes, phone, that can run Genshin at that level. ok, maybe the original ROG Phone but most of them give you a bonus of hand warmer. anyway, great job on this video, cheers
Is there any video of the odin showing genshin at max 60 running for half an hour atleast? Taki udons video shows it cant even keep a steady 50 just standing in mondstadt.
Hahaha I think you’re correct! Heat is really the most challenging thing to manage especially for longer gaming sessions Anyway to hear even SD845 getting stable 60 is amazing tho! I’ll definitely have to test more phones in the future but yeah, thanks for watching and sharing! 💪🏻
Well honestly they did everything they can, the vapor chamber is huge compared to their previous designs, I think it's more Qualcomm's fault at this point that we're getting 870 again as well as a subpar 8 Gen 1 But to be honest, I'm actually excited for these 'exotic' cooling solutions haha would be amazing if I could get my hands on the ROG Phone 6 one day

Hello , please advise which phone is better to take poco f4 or poco x4 gt , I want to play Genshin medium 60 fps and the camera was more or less good , I now have redmi note 9 pro , thank you , excuse my English
You should wait before gaming Test because poco F4 GT have New Software Update that will RELEASE the LIMIT processor for Genshin impact, now it will run 60fps for 5 minutes 50fps for 10 minutes and STABLE with Average 40FPS for 30 MINUTES with HIGHEST SETTINGS without COOLER FAN, you can check Jagat Review Channel for Complete Test Data they always wait for best Update before releasing Gaming Test
I am aware of this, and have updated everything (MIUI 13.0.5.0, same updated gameturbo layout as Jagat Review) and I did the test on July 9 which should have everything in place yet this is my result Also take extra care in mentioning “with fan” result and “no fan” result, in their testing I think they said the F4 GT performs well but you’ll need a fan if not then it’ll be just like mine
Honestly speaking the F4 will be more than enough upgrade, but if you have the budget the F4 GT is a very nice phone, you can check my comparison video th-cam.com/video/dOWVBZXpApI/w-d-xo.html just if you play genshin a lot you know you’ll be missing out on the performance unless you get a cooler fan (which I’m going to test next)
Not necessarily, the F4 has better cooling system than F3 so theoretically speaking it might drop performance earlier, I can't say for sure how long since I don't have one to test though unfortunately
@@namedkenn Thank you for the response! I am looking for a midrange priced phone that's gonna kill Elder Scrolls Blades. (max price 450 dollars) My Snapdragon 835 Xperia XZ1 throttles after 10 minutes. Will Pixel 5a or Oneplus Nord 2 5G do bettter? Is Poco F3 or F4 going to not throttle after say 20 minutes? Is Elder Scrolls Blades a crap, unoptimized game? I thought it was a very demanding game, but a lot of are using Genshin Impact as their go to Benchmarking game. Is Genshin Impact more demanding than Elder Scrolls Blades? If you actually respond to all of this , you are a true legend.
Yep, all the latest updates are here, I just recorded the F4 GT part yesterday (9 Jul 2022) it's got the new Game Turbo layout as well as MIUI 13.0.5.0 update Also yes all the performance mode is on, both in control center and game turbo (I've shown you this at the beginning of the test)
those modes dont really matter literally nothing changes if you put performance mode on or off, the phone MUST throttle no matter what when the battery reaches 46 C°, for safety reasons (some phones even shut down at this temp)
I plan on buying Poco F4 in a few months. I keep reading in the comments about Poco F4 having some problems with it's camera. Can you please elaborate? Thank you. 😊
its just my gripe with the f4 camera. yesterday i tested its camera with even the predecessor f3. and the f3 looks better, simply. I watched some review saying the f4's camera still needing updates etc. and im starting to think thats true. the f4's photo looks cheaper and not sharp and the video is a bit stuttery
and the f4 gt does feel a lot more expensive due to its body material. the f3 is curved so it feels a bit like what we know of flagship phones. the f4 is flat and the side is a bit cheap looking like metalic coloring. i dont mind that too much but its sure noticable. they need to fix the camera tho cuz its kinda fatal
2 days on research now i finally can cancel on buying f4 GT. Sd870 more stable but little bit older. Or should i go for SD8+ Gen1? Not interested on iPhone I need good display and sound(for earphones & tws) Good software update support Decent/good camera Off course performance at top notch. 65wt or higher How about 1+9 pro or Motorola edge 30 pro? Rog6 little bit pricey.hmmm
Rog 6 definitely the best one for gaming.... The main problem I have with the rest of them is not having headphone jack I have a good wired earphone and on long hours of gaming I'd like to plug in charger and play which is not possible on the others. I'm also confused on which to buy Rog 6 is a bit out of my budget since I would be needing the 256 gb version.

But on the poco xgt device, it dropped to 47 fps. Does this indicate that the poco f4 is better than the poco x4gt?
Or which is better
I have poco f4 and its a beast for real
nice one. honest gaming test. we like your effort put in this video.
Appreciate that! Thanks 😁😁
Hi Kenneth,
Did you try COD - call of duty on these phones and if you have time, what were the results like?
really like the design of the this phone, not too out there yung look. But i have to ask if u would recommend the Poco F4 GT for a casual gamer who's looking for a new daily driver and play games occasionally (Mobile legends). Or is it better to save the money and get the regular F4? Als heard black shark 5 has the same SD 870 chipset
kung ML lang naman lalaroin mo, save your money nalang
Great work! Which model are you using for the F4? 6gb of ram or 8gb? Does the 2gb ram difference make a significant impact on gaming?
I’ve got the 6/128 version, and no 2GBs of RAM doesn’t affect gaming in any way as long as you clear up other apps first
Most games don’t use that much RAM to run, as for example here Genshin only uses just shy of 2GB max (you can see it in PerfDog overview screenshot)
In my experience you only feel the benefits of more RAM if you start to open up other apps, switching in between them (let’s say discord, browsing, screen recorder, and gaming at the same time) then you’ll notice the benefits of something like 12GB of RAM on the F4 GT for example
the thing with snapdragon 8 series is that you need to cool it properly to unleash it's full power.
IIRC the F3 cant run genshin properly with no fan and here we are the F4 runs it very nice even with no fan. both using S870.
now we know that POCO has learn to tame the 870 but nope, the 8 Gen 1 is a different beast. although it is much better than the 888, that thing was a toaster lol
another example of the 8 series, if you know the AYN Odin Pro, it uses the old 845 but with proper tuning and active cooling. and dang it, it can run Genshin high 60 with ease for hours.
No S845 phone, yes, phone, that can run Genshin at that level. ok, maybe the original ROG Phone but most of them give you a bonus of hand warmer.
anyway, great job on this video, cheers
Can u recommed what phone is good for games like moba po? Ty
Is there any video of the odin showing genshin at max 60 running for half an hour atleast? Taki udons video shows it cant even keep a steady 50 just standing in mondstadt.
@@arvibal9472 ASUS ROG or Nubia Red Magic Phones
Hahaha I think you’re correct! Heat is really the most challenging thing to manage especially for longer gaming sessions
Anyway to hear even SD845 getting stable 60 is amazing tho! I’ll definitely have to test more phones in the future but yeah, thanks for watching and sharing! 💪🏻
This is the most detailed video I've ever seen.
nice, great effort in doing the test!
Thank you, I’m glad you found it insightful!
hello Kenneth, the poco f4 cell phone you were using in the video, is the version with 12gb of ram and 246gb of rom?
Nice review ken, by the way have you tried LG free tone earbuds?, i would like to know how do you think about them
Please make a review for one plus ace, I've been saving money for that phone. Your reviews are very informative.
Best Gaming TWS Earbuds Review when? Jk.. Btw good review as always keep up the good work ken!😁
Hahaha there’re plenty already! But yeah thanks for watching man, appreciate you
Great Video! Thanks bro
Poco needs to release their own Peltier/thermoelectric cooling solution for their hot phones.
Well honestly they did everything they can, the vapor chamber is huge compared to their previous designs, I think it's more Qualcomm's fault at this point that we're getting 870 again as well as a subpar 8 Gen 1
But to be honest, I'm actually excited for these 'exotic' cooling solutions haha would be amazing if I could get my hands on the ROG Phone 6 one day
@@namedkenn can you try some realme 8gen1 ? cuz i ve seen a lot of ppl talking how realme has much better cooling system than xiaomi and they can handle 8gen1 better
also some dimensity 9000/8300
@@namedkenn true. Even though Snapdragon kinda messed up, this new kind of cooler is definitely a great innovation for gaming
I know it's been a few months but you need to test on Sumeru's desert. It's currently the most taxing area of the game
yeah, i have the same phone like in the video, poco f4 5g, and i got like 30-45 fps while in sumeru, there is stutter a bit too but its not that bad, and i play in medium + high settings
@@jjy7336 Thanks for this tip!
this vid is exactly what i need, genshin impact 🥰!!! thank you
Hey Kenneth! Have you tried playing COD mobile MP & BR on both devices before? I am looking for a powerful gaming device. Thanks!
Really good video bro and nice work 🙂
Appreciate that!
will you test both phones with fan cooler? I really want to see the result.
Most definitely! I'm thinking of buying one from blackshark but we'll see
@@namedkenn flydigi b5/oneplus best for overall sir. and coolest.
most likely 8gen1 will be able to get a stable 60fps but still eat through your battery
the voice over was so relaxing
Haha thanks man! I was afraid it’s going to be boring compared to my usual tone
So it is the best choice. I am planning to upgrade from POCO X3 NFC to POCO F4 on my birthday.
Poco x3 is good for the budget but I felt betrayed when they released the X3 Pro short after for almost the same price...
One of the best in gaming poco x4gt
or
Poco f4
In the Genshin Impact game, the framerate is fixed at 60 on the Poco F4
But on the poco xgt device, it dropped to 47 fps. Does this indicate that the poco f4 is better than the poco x4gt?
Or which is better
what should i buy Poco F4 GT or Black Shark 4 pro ?? which is better ??
great work man.. very informative and helpful.. do you have review for f4 vs x4 gt? and poco f3.. thanks
Hey kenneth. Could you check out Poco X4 GT? I checked and they're almost identical with Poco F4 but X4 GT is cheaper with a better processor (Dimensity 8100). I want to know which has a better camera other than the OIS. I also know they have different displays which is fine
I would go for f4 still because snapdragon is more optimized and its way better for emulation (you can emulate nintendo switch).
Which model of the f4 was used in the comparison?
Aside from these 2 phones, what unit can you suggest for playing Genshin? I need a new phone for Sumeru update. 😅
Thank you.
I’ll have a new video about the X4 GT which is exciting! Should definitely watch that one 😁
Between f4/ real me GT2 5g/ s21 fe 6gb RAM which One you think would hold Better genshin ?
Honestly I’d love to try out all these different phones but so far I haven’t so I can’t say
Please do Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty Mobile tests and a few more. These videos are great and really helpful!
hello!!
it's been 10 months since this video uploaded. what's the latest news now? does the f4 gt fix the heating issue on that game?
or still the same?
because this year i was also want to upgrade my phone
my currently unit was LG v50 (SD 855).
thank you
Good review man
Thank you so much!
Damn I just bought the Poco F4 GT. Anyway I just play with electric fan on to manage the heat.
Nice video could you test codm next and see if it gets 90fps
When did you test both phone? Because apparently there's new update for f4 gt that improves the phone performance
Literally yesterday for the F4 GT haha and only another day before for F4
So don't worry I am aware of the update and made sure everything is in place before hitting record
SD 870 is better than SD Gen 1 for now because sd 870 is more optimize than sd gen 1
idk but my f4 gt got 54 to 56 fps in genshin impack i think because when i bought the f4 gt (not really) i asked for the redmi k50 gaming and they give me the f4 on the back it says redmi but in the setting the name said f4 gt.When i reboot the phone it say it is redmi idk what happened to my phone and i still don't know it is the f4 gt or the redmi k50 gaming
Did u use the poco F4 5g the 6gb ram or the 8 gb ram?
Is there any difference in screen quality between the 2?
Now do 2.8 and Sumeru anticipation videos Kenneth! We'd like to see you do some Genshin videos too!
Hahaha man that’ll be steering towards the Genshin niche 🤣 but honestly speaking I don’t have much thoughts to share for anticipation videos, just I’ll pull Kazuha for sure. COME ON 🤤
i have a question for a long time. F4 GT has R1 and L1 triggers right? What's the key trigger for that in Genshin when you use it? Thank you
you can set it to whichever key you want
Thanks to your video now il sure to take the poco f4, because is a vero good smartphone and it run genshin very good
It's a very nice phone for the price indeed!
Hello , please advise which phone is better to take poco f4 or poco x4 gt , I want to play Genshin medium 60 fps and the camera was more or less good , I now have redmi note 9 pro , thank you , excuse my English
So which is better
You should wait before gaming Test because poco F4 GT have New Software Update that will RELEASE the LIMIT processor for Genshin impact, now it will run 60fps for 5 minutes 50fps for 10 minutes and STABLE with Average 40FPS for 30 MINUTES with HIGHEST SETTINGS without COOLER FAN, you can check Jagat Review Channel for Complete Test Data they always wait for best Update before releasing Gaming Test
I am aware of this, and have updated everything (MIUI 13.0.5.0, same updated gameturbo layout as Jagat Review) and I did the test on July 9 which should have everything in place yet this is my result
Also take extra care in mentioning “with fan” result and “no fan” result, in their testing I think they said the F4 GT performs well but you’ll need a fan if not then it’ll be just like mine
Is poco x4 gt better? Or is f3 and x4 the same
im still on poco f1, upgrading to f4 is enough or f4 gt?? I think f4 is more worth the money than f4 gt, what do you think?
Honestly speaking the F4 will be more than enough upgrade, but if you have the budget the F4 GT is a very nice phone, you can check my comparison video th-cam.com/video/dOWVBZXpApI/w-d-xo.html
just if you play genshin a lot you know you’ll be missing out on the performance unless you get a cooler fan (which I’m going to test next)
Is it safe to assume that the Poco F3 would perform just like the Poco F4?
Both phones are 6gb or 8 gb ram?
This is before they patch/fix the f4 gt right?
My question is perfomance mode on F4GT is on? is the F4GT has updated to the new non limited performance software update?
Yep, all the latest updates are here, I just recorded the F4 GT part yesterday (9 Jul 2022) it's got the new Game Turbo layout as well as MIUI 13.0.5.0 update
Also yes all the performance mode is on, both in control center and game turbo (I've shown you this at the beginning of the test)
those modes dont really matter
literally nothing changes if you put performance mode on or off, the phone MUST throttle no matter what when the battery reaches 46 C°, for safety reasons (some phones even shut down at this temp)
Do you have a Poco x4 gt review? Especially the game review
Not yet, but it is coming so stay tuned and subscribe! 😁
Hey Kenneth. I wonder why my F4 drains too much battery even when not playing :(
I plan on buying Poco F4 in a few months.
I keep reading in the comments about Poco F4 having some problems with it's camera. Can you please elaborate? Thank you. 😊
I’ll have to look into this more as well, I took a couple of photos and videos but haven’t got the chance to review it on computer
@@namedkenn the issue is with video recording where the phone is unable to focus properly. You can check gsmarena's review of Poco F4 for this.
this means that poco f4 is better than poco f4 gt for gaming?
damn the hole punch for the f4 looks so good
No doubt! 🔥
true sd870 is consistent in term of heating ❤
its just my gripe with the f4 camera. yesterday i tested its camera with even the predecessor f3. and the f3 looks better, simply. I watched some review saying the f4's camera still needing updates etc. and im starting to think thats true. the f4's photo looks cheaper and not sharp and the video is a bit stuttery
and the f4 gt does feel a lot more expensive due to its body material. the f3 is curved so it feels a bit like what we know of flagship phones. the f4 is flat and the side is a bit cheap looking like metalic coloring. i dont mind that too much but its sure noticable. they need to fix the camera tho cuz its kinda fatal
just buy a xiaomi 12x
Interesting, unfortunately I dont have an F3 to test out but will look into this more
Is that F4GT latest firmware?
Is it possible that the gen 1 is not fully optimized at the time of recording?
I really doubt it, the performance since this video until today is still similar
Try shutting ram extension off it was the reason for bad performance on my mi 12 pro. Now I'm getting 60 locked
870 better coz 8 gen iz new and needz optimation in the future itll be the bezt but for now juzt ztick with 870
If you're reviewing xiaomi products, consider providing indonesian subtitle. It would be helpful to attract more indonesian viewers for your channel 👌
Which earbuds is better for gaming
You can check my best for gaming playlist in the channel!
do test with oneplus cooler or flydigi bn5
lets see if best cooler can tame it
thank you it is very useful
I’m so glad to hear that!
Poco F4 GT or red magic 6S pro++ model which one better for genshin impact
I can't answer since I haven't tested Redmagic yet, but I've been trying to get in touch with them, hopefully they'll respond
2 days on research now i finally can cancel on buying f4 GT.
Sd870 more stable but little bit older.
Or should i go for SD8+ Gen1?
Not interested on iPhone
I need good display and sound(for earphones & tws)
Good software update support
Decent/good camera
Off course performance at top notch.
65wt or higher
How about 1+9 pro or Motorola edge 30 pro?
Rog6 little bit pricey.hmmm
Rog 6 definitely the best one for gaming.... The main problem I have with the rest of them is not having headphone jack I have a good wired earphone and on long hours of gaming I'd like to plug in charger and play which is not possible on the others. I'm also confused on which to buy Rog 6 is a bit out of my budget since I would be needing the 256 gb version.
What did you decide to buy? Because I'm also torn between f4 and f4 gt
Which is the best settings for long and smooth gameplay in f4..
Actually taking a look at this result I won’t be surprised if we see 50+ fps on High/60
@@namedkenn without ac or in high room temperature high settings is not good for long gameplay,, I used low 60 fps for combat and mid 30 for quest in my mi 10T(865)
How much difference in gameplay between 865 vs 870
Thank you sir 😘
Great video
Thank you so much!
4 better than 3 ?
If you want genshin impact, SD865 is the best choice you could get
Would love to try 865, though as far as I know 870 is essentially 865++ right 🤣
@@namedkenn pretty much overclocked version of 865. But being overclocked also means it's not as stable.
Still using Poco f3 not worth upgrading to F4 even F4 GT thanks for the review.
Welcome! Honestly if you’re still happy with the F3 there’s little reason to upgrade
Just for those who didn’t get the chance to try F3 then these newer phones are pretty good choices
Can you please do a comparison between poco f4 and Redmi k50i please 🥺
Probably won’t do it since I don’t have access to K50i
@@namedkenn i mean poco f4 gt with dimansity 8100 vs poco f4 ......in our Indian region the poco f4 gt with the dimonsity 8100 ph rename as redmi K50i so its my bad i didn't sepify that ...i apologies for that .
So can you do it plz !
