I love the way you all discuss the game afterwards, going over how the game hinged on some moves, or how something could have gone differently. It really adds some depth having that round-table discussion about things that I might have also been thinking as a viewer.
This is the best group of people on game night imo. (the original 4 I think) Love this series, I only found it 2 weeks ago and was so sad when I had watched all the other episodes in like 3 days. Such a wait between episodes :(
Suggested house rule: always play/move BEFORE you draw cards. Only draw cards at the end of your turn (staying within the hand limit). That way you don't have to think as much during your turn in response to the new cards you drew.
luved the review guys. i wasnt sure about gettin this game, thinkin it would be flat. now i see it looks pretty nice. think ill be gettin it for sure. and i m so happy to see board/card gamers, as ive always been surrounded by sports fanatics
Bit late now but around the 30 minute mark you move the play marker to 2 as your first move then take 2 more plays even though you should only do one more.
Man, forget the haters. The Fluxx system is FUN. Play it with people who like to have fun, and aren't super-competitive MTG players, and you'll probably enjoy yourself. You also have the added element of some of the variations like Zombie Fluxx, Star Fluxx, Eco Fluxx, or Cthulhu Fluxx having game mechanics that change the way the game works.
This goes way too late, but doesn't Lincoln at 23:10 make an illegal move by leaving the starting square through a non-arrow side? It's an easy mistake to make, actually: I wonder if there could be a more clear visual clue to which starting moves are allowed. Anyway, great group to watch, and what a great and fun game. I already have a couple of Fluxxes, but this one is still on my list.
So suppose you have tile A which, if you move it somewhere else, it leaves tile B isolated-- no longer connected to any other tile on its edge-- is that an allowed move?
When you moved everyone back to the start position you should have taken your last move and uprooted the start tile all the way to the top left corner so they would have to make there way back to the goal

You've been Fluxxed. That is so great. This looks as fun as the original Fluxx card game. Great play-through.

He had two moves. He passed through the octagon space straight to the other one.
Two thumbs up for the old school Black Flagg reference!

Yes
No it is not. You cannot isolate a time so that it is no longer able to be moved to.
More GameNight!!!

From what I can read from Andrew Looney on the forums for Looney Labs, you can't move the start tile.
oh okay. that sucks. i would play that you could.
I pity the poor guy who must stay in the directing room and can't play... what else do you do back there? Comics? TV? :)
The board game is a LOT better than the card game. Though the board game too is problematic.
