love it! I'm the guy mentioned with the YC mini organ for London gigs. Great to meet you Nick at the Hammond event. I do still love my YC, still use it at gigs around town and with a bit of expression pedal it sounds amazing through house PA speakers. I've also upgraded to a Legend Live (which I midi up to a Reface CP for EP too) and I'm most interested to see what you think in your next vid!
Also the Reface YC organ is also quite good as well! Matter of fact, I've entertained the idea of buying three of them. YC-CS-CP!! All in one carry bag under 20 pounds on a table stand held down by heavy duty VELCRO!! Set up before the drummer makes noise! That's right, I said it, NOISE. LOL And packed up, and hitting on a Bird, while everyone else is still wrapping their cables. FINALLY I WIN!!
You're an incredible musician, Paul!! I noticed not only have you played for Joe Lynn Turner, and with Doogie (who I saw live with Yngwie) But I heard you play some beautiful piano from the ELP Trilogy album. I grew up with that album. My dad and older brother would play it all the time (both of them have past away) You're an incredible talent!
Nice sounds and chops. I’ve got a YC and CP stacked on top of a Keyboard amp. Controlled by a pair of cheap 61 key controllers. My C3, Leslie and Rhodes stay home.
I suppose you could do all this with the SKX Pro with a couple of VCMC controllers but I like the interfaces of these two keyboards more. Great choice!
I used to play a crumar ti back in the day, late 80s early 90s, and got nostalgic for it a few months ago. I couldn't find one online, but I did find the yamaha reface yc. It's a tiny trip down memory lane and much easier to carry. The cs sounds amazing can you not assign the controls to the draw bars on your hammond?
Hey Nick, love your playing {don't stop playing in F} I use to play with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, and I'm in a similar quandary. This vid helped me. Thank you.
Sweet dreams, there was a short part of Tarot Woman (Rainbow/Tony Carey) too 😊can't wait the Viscount review, it's claimed to be closest to real Hammond...

It's a nice instrument, I have the Reface CP with electric piano sounds, Clavi Rhodes, etc.
Your demo gave me an idea to try and control a Novation Bass Station II with a Nord Electro 6D. Thanks for the idea!

The Reface CP is awesome for Rhodes, Wurly, and CP 80 sounds
Nice keys. The keyed is not the worst, but I do think it's about time for Yamaha to update the reface series.

I bet I can actually. That would be freaky!
Are they mini keys?

Cool, thanks mate
Check the manual, I think there's a key setting in global to have it set in a different key.
I did and there is! Nice one
