What I really liked about this video is the way Nick was so respectfully listening. Nick shows us so many good qualities in a person in all the videos. He is grounded with the best values - integrity, trust, love, beauty and wisdom. Everett you are a lucky guy.

Loganbay I know, right? You can tell he has ZERO jealousy. When Everett said that he ended up dating his first for 9 months, Nicholas was genuinely happy for him that he had a good experience. I was watching one of Everett’s first videos and he described his ideal boyfriend...and it was about a year before he started dating Nicholas and it’s kinda crazy how much he described Nicholas. I think they’re so adorable together. 😍🏳️‍🌈🤙🏽

My wish is that people never have to “come out” and can just be. I can’t imagine the unnecessary stress this must put on people. I as a straight woman never had to tell people I like men. I wish that freedom for everyone. Happy pride guys, from your straight but not narrow subscriber!🌈

Jermaina B OMG, what an amazing comment!!! I’m from Hawai’i and we have the highest number of 🏳️‍🌈 people per capital of all 50 states...and we really don’t have much homophobia here at all. However, coming out was still SUPER stressful. So I can only imagine how much harder it must be on the mainland. I wish more people thought like you...I REALLY wish that the Chicago men who want a Straight Pride parade saw the world more like you. Thank you for posting this wonderful comment.
PS - you picked the right channel to do so...Everett and Nicholas are just so damn adorable and sweet. 😁🏳️‍🌈🤙🏽

Syd Adnan Yup, I’ve had soooo many gay friends be completely disowned by their Christian and catholic parents...Jesus Christ must be sooooo proud of his followers and how they put him ahead of their own family.

I came out at 35 years old knowing I’m gay since 12. Being raised as a Jehovah’s Witness I had to hide it... I lost my family because they must shun me since I’m disfellowshipped of the religion.
Six years later I’m feel pretty good but I miss my parents and my sis and her 2 daughters....

It’s definitely super hard telling your Dad, mostly when he’s this very macho, old-fashioned, religious guy. Anyone else can relate? Haha

yeah, when telling dads, in your mind can be.."he can only see a pic of whats happening in the bedroom".... and that can cause some bad reactions... and comments.... some great YT and movies out now that would be good for dads to watch with mums support.... love is love, or lust, and what we do in bed really shouldn't be an issue. We don't ask what they do in their bedroom!

Can empathize. It's taken me a lot longer to come out (50) and my Dad is gone and my mom has Alzheimer's. So I have no real idea what they would have thought and that feeling they never entirely knew me. Thanks for sharing your stories. ❤🌈

Hi guys! , it’s 30 years today my dad passed away, on his death bed, i wanted to be honest with him, no one in my family knew, and I was living in a complete denial. It was hard time neither mom or sis& brother knew, and was so ashamed of myself, cuz he helped me to get in business early in my life. But living even in a middle size town wasn’t easy 30 years ago. I knew many ones went to the big city to live their life. Only few people really knew who I was, after so many years , I made errors, and was outed. I think now it is finally a good thing. Now I live with my partner for 14 years, my life is none of their business anymore. I choose to live my life finally , and I’m happy like that. i wish in school they had meeting groups for people questioning their sexuality at the time.
Happy to see you and expressed yourself for who you are .

My mom (found out) when she said my date was parked in the driveway, she said tell "them" to come in, so he did, and that was that. My dad found out from my stepmom, who I told and he "disowned" me , we did not speak for 12 yrs when I moved back here from NYC, he then came to my work and apologized and said he was wrong and didn't own me to begin with. ♥️

I loved BOTH of your stories! You guys both have pretty amazing families/parents. Everett, my fav quote was, “I’m at home washing my cat!” LOL!!! I used to make crazy excuses too. 😜 Also, I know what you’re saying about your dad...but I’m sure he knew and loved you, period. 😁 Nicholas, are you still friends with that girl? I’m a really forgiving person but that’s a tough one to forgive. It reminded me of that scene in “Love, Simon” where he reads his classmate for stealing his coming over from him. 😓
My coming out was very unique. LOL. My dad’s only question was, “are you happy?”...and after I said “yes”, he told me, “okay, that’s all parents want for their kids.
My mom? She asked me 3 questions:
    • “so Ken’s your boyfriend? I always wondered why he came to Sunday family dinner every week.”
    • “so who’s top and who’s bottom?”
    • “so when you bottom, does it hurt?”
Yes, I had a very good relationship with my mom...well both of my parents, but my dad was a construction worker. 😁 I think it really helped a lot that my mom normalized sex talk and made sure that I realized that talking about sex should NOT be a taboo and that we should NOT be embarrassed to talk about it.
On that note, HAPPY PRIDE MONTH from Hawai’i and thank you for sharing your stories with all of us!

I don't know how different my story is, but I think it is interesting. I was on a wilderness primitive camp trip. I had a lodge (native wigwam) mate that I had met only a few days earlier. He made a very suggestive comment to me about a sex act. It shock me up. Actually I physically started shaking, violently. I felt the need to touch his hand, and when I did, the shaking stopped. Then we cuddled. It was great. I was 52. That's when I came out to MYSELF. My unchurched and no church friends loved me. My church "friends", most of them. kicked me out of their lives. Fast forward, I'm fine. There was some recovery time to deal with the pain of rejection, but now, I LOVE ME and I am OK.

    hey Nic...
'friend' outs you - she was soo out of order, I guess that girl in school believes the world revolves around her, and what she knows... hope you someday tell her what a shitty thing she did, and mayb suggest she watch "Love,Simon" and take in his line.. "It wasn't your thing, it was my thing, and you took that away from me..."
but then, if she hasn't changed, she probably still believes her needs are more important than other peoples who in-trust their feelings to her.... sorry for rant.
dads - I think maybe telling dads, it can be in our mind, that we can picture their thought process that "my boy is .... in bed", and while most children never ask their parents about their personal love life, it just maybe one of the reasons we worry about telling our dad.
The telling of their acceptance is when you take your bf home for a weekend, or a family vacation, and you get given the doubled bedded room, with no comments. Love is love, sex is sex, and what we as their children do there-in, really shouldn't be an issue.... Also, being respectful, and keeping the noise down is a given... ;o)
