Very sorry to hear the story you had to tell about the “negative” things that some people post. You have created a family here on TH-cam and those people that want to hurt are no part of your family. I am sure I speak for everyone here and thank you for dealing with the bad people so you can let us in to your lives. I know I have learned a lot from the fireside chats. My favorite quote of all time is “it is not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”.

Oh Spruce Pine❤ My family home. Lots and lots of memories growing up and spending time there. Visiting family, Sunday church services, family reunions, decoration, canning and hiking on the family land drinking natural spring water out of a magnolia leaf. Oh I miss it.

My wife and I love watching you guys. We started watching your channel probably about two years ago because we were looking to buy an RV and travel. Two years later we are finally about to buy one. You two have helped our decision. We are a young family and we love watching your fireside chats. Love that you two incorporate the lord into this channel. What a blessing you two are and what a blessing your faith is. I have watched your channel needing to hear some of the things you talk about fireside and having to re-evaluate myself. Your more than just an RV traveling channel. You two truly are a blessing. We are planning our first trip to the Smokies in the fall of 2024 and I only hope we have half as much fun as you two do. Spruce Pine is my favorite NC mountain town. We hope to go back soon. This campground looks amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the fireside chat fellowship. It hits home for me, as there are many times I tend to forget HIS authority. God is indeed our CEO. And because HE is, I don’t let the conflicts of this world get to me. Thank you for this very important reminder. Our dog Dixie has had a rough past few days, but she’s doing better. Her appetite came back yesterday. Meyersdale, Pa. Is known for having maple syrup camps.
Nowadays tubing is used more than the maple buckets.
I was brought up on homemade maple syrup and maple sugar.
I put syrup on my sausage plus ketchup!!!

Thank you Fridays for the reminder that I am in control of my attitude! On May 5 this year I fell and broke my femur. I'm 70 years old and overweight but otherwise is great health. I am currently in a rehab facility trying to get this leg healed and back home. This morning was my first day of negative thoughts. It just seems I take 1 step forward and 2 steps back in my recovery. I have been working hard to stay positive and working overtime this morning at it. Thank you for reminding me to stay positive!I believe that God is in control but he expects us to do our part too so I can't start slacking in my rehab just because I might be a little discouraged that it's not going as fast as I'd like!

Tonight’s fireside chat was definitely for me. A lot of times if it pertains to my life, and it’s not going the way I want, I want to take charge of it, especially when it’s not going the way I perceive it to go. Sometimes the thing you dread most, or uncertain of, is Gods plan, not ours. He knows tomorrow, not us. There’s an old saying that is faithful and true, “take your burden to The Lord, and leave them there…” Let Him control tomorrow.
