nice i needed a refresher
i love riven , it's a separate healthy economie for the game. however i hate the fact it's totaly random when i see my kuva burn to the ground because i miss the stats i want for the build.
Kuva.
mhmm... "healthy economy"
I'd say a low dispo doesn't even mean it's not worth using. I have a Felarx riven on my switch account that I have rolled with roughly +50% to Projectile Speed, cold and fire rate and -40% to crit chance. There definitely were more desirable positives. But getting that minus to crit chance makes the Devouring Attrition evolution in evolution 5 that much more potent. I have landed at a 1.8% crit chance so when no pet buff or buff from other players screw up my critting it means that 98.2% of my pellets will trigger the conditions for what is basically a 10x multiplicative bonus. It's very weapon specific what negatives can turn out as a positive. But especially on the three original incarnon guns it can be quite good.
Me sitting in my bed at 6am in the morning, wasting 300k Kuva on a Latron Riven 💀
It's fun!!!
3 am and I thought 35k on a zylok was bad
Whats wrong with Latron?
This but with sobek 😂 I might take his advice and stop when it goes triple digits. It’s like crack. I have to draw the line somewhere.
I like rivens for high disposition weapons as they can pull up a mediocre or niche weapon and make it more competitive. "Can" is the key word as RNG is a fickle force and sometimes, well, you'd need something like riven disposition 10 to save the Stug.
For example, due to a good roll on a Dark Split-Sword riven (four dot disposition) said weapon is in my regular rotation with the nickname "the salad shooter."
Now all that said, the incarnon adapters also have been distinctly helping in that area. I haven't had the pleasure yet so I can't make any comparisons in relative effectiveness at pulling up weaker weapons.
me: reads this comment after claiming the stug
😢
Think of it as a Warframe right of passage. Everyone should experience the stug and get its mastery.
But how do I know if its worth rerollijg and tryna sell? Like how do I know if ppl are even looking for a pebblabla cernso riven?
The best MIGHTY SEER gives give plus zoom
Waiting for the seer prime still
@@screaminseaman6121 yep
i bought 5 veiled rivens today, rerolled one of them and got a riven worth at least 700
I sold a god roll ceramic dagger riven for 1500p
Rivens are a great way to compensate for similar mods you don't have and/or hate to use. For instance, the commonly-despised-yet-widely-advertised primed faction mods can be replaced with Rivens which will provide an even better faction damage buff for a MUCH cheaper Endo investment, and you could theoretically roll a Riven combining multiple factions on the same mod, which would remove the #1 annoyance of having to switch faction mods between missions.
However it's obvious that on any weapon with a disposition of less than 3 balls, Rivens are absolutely not worth the investment. Regular mods - status, multishot, damage, what have you... - will always provide better bonuses, so unless you're really in need of a 9th mod slot to max out your weapon as you please and are lucky enough to roll a Riven that can replace 2 mods at once (even for a lower stat tradeoff), you'll always be better off using regular mods instead...
And there's of course the whole lottery thing, which is a disgusting lootbox core mechanic which makes the whole Riven use highly unfair between players. Not only does it force Kuva grind - and players love grind, don't they... -, but 2 people rolling Rivens for the same weapon would most often than not end up with very different weapons, one of them being objectively stronger than the other, which imho is something that shouldn't be a thing in any online game, even a non-PvP one. So, do we all use Rivens? Most of us certainly do, but we can't help feeling somewhat dirty for doing so.
Side note: Rivens were introduced in order to "rebalance" old weapons and make them competitive against more recent and much better gear. However, this claim fell flat because most really old weapons are so abysmally bad they are beyond salvation in the current meta. If your weapon has a 5% crit chance, even a +500% crit chance Riven (which doesn't exist) wouldn't make it worthwhile for that matter. Also, some stats available on Rivens are meaningless or outright best to be avoided. No matter what, a handful of meta weapons always stand out by a large stretch and despite the plethora of weapons available in every category, there's just no reason to use many of those that don't have anything special going for them (forced procs, some useful gimmicks, synergies etc.) In that regard, Incarnons really brought back some of those forgotten weapons: they offer unique & fun mechanics while allowing players to deal with all levels of difficulty, thus being extremely competitive or even the new meta. Incarnons achieved what Rivens essentially sought to achieve - and failed.
Since I started playing on Xbox series S in early February 2024 I always thought those were ridiculous platinum prices, and when I did research near the end of February I basically found out a riven basically looses it's value once you reroll it 10 times because the kuva price drastically increases to reroll it. Everyday I see someone charging 1k for a riven that's been rerolled more than 80 times and the stats aren't even good for the weapon the riven specified.
Currently sitting on 620 and 860 rolls on Burston and Glaive respectively. Kuva is a pain to farm I agree. There is actually a meta method of farming that can yeild 40k kuva per 10mins. It is a pain but worth it for those desired god-rolls. I addicited to Kuva.
Where does one learn these secret 40k kuva richuals? I NEED MORE ROLLS
PS: will sell organs for kuva pmo
@@theleperchaun1336 Arbitrations. Very good source. 2 hrs of farming got me 700 VE. Traded for kuva
RNG hates me in this game except when it comes to shotgun rivens lol
The sevagoth drop was complete bullshit. Had no chance of watching it at that hour when work was waiting the next morning. Fuck that shit i was actually excited for it too
I still don't know how to get a rivin but now know what they do when I find out..
You get riven slivers and you go to Iron Wake on earth and talk to Palladino

My honest and, i am very sure: not shared view on rivens- I hate them with a vengence. Either a weapon is good or not- no riven in the world will, for example, make me play with the stugg: its just a bad weapon. All rivens do is give more power to already powerful guns now- not the intended idea of em in the slightest.
The other side effect is that many newer players always see these used in builds of content creators- not blamin leyzar here of course- and think they HAVE to get these to be powerful. Which is totally not true.
There is quite an arsenal of weapons that have a really shiny look, shoot and feel but aren't meta enough for me to pick them on steel path instead of something like alcestra. Riven can help here and that's what it's used for. Also for the memes. Memes is why stug rivens are so expensive
you can get the best riven mods in the entire game by working at mcdonalds for a month and sacrificing your paycheck to the holy platinum gods
Question will the weapon you use to unlock rivens increase the chance that weapon will have the riven ?
Not at all, i kept using Rubico Prime for unlocking riven but i kept getting random ones
180 is the max amount of riv u can have 😊 and i want more then that 😢
So.....where is the Vendor for Rivens?
Palladino? On iron wake, earth
@@KartyrOfficial Thanks!
Hi would you be willing to trade a bad zarr riven with me😢❤
I dont get why you would spend millions of kuva over grinding a new riven mod? what is the difference?
Oooh there's gambling? Uh oooh.
I wish you showed me how to get riven mods lol
Hottest topics in warframe? Not sure by what metric thats supposed to be by. But Rivens should be removed. Or phased out somehow, and its kind of feeling like thats what they might be doing with the incarnon system.
Why
I delete them I’ve been playing since launch and riven mods ruined the game
How could you hate rivens ppl are just weirdos lmao
People get all weird when it comes to rng... personally I love it because of the randomness, and it gives me something to work towards (good stats) lol
It encourages Kuva farming, and that led directly to the hermos incident
@@Roundtable-1 for some reason im too scared to ask what that is
@Wasabi574 Hermos, our tragic central figure, for some reason had decided to be the player with the most kuva in the game. To achieve this, he of course farmed sp requiem survival, since it offers kuva from about three sources at once. But you can imagine he can't get enough relics to sustain that for long. To remedy this, he decided to sell everything, from prime sets, to ayatans to even rivens. All to get enough platinum to sustain his farm to the top. In short, he lost everything in pursuit of this goal.
Beyond that is the challenge of doing survival fissures while defending the frail kuva harvesters when the eximus rework just released.
Tl;dr: Watch "the great kuva farm"
So you start the video not even explaining how we get rivens and just yapping about them etc. Thumbs down, very uninformative vid for newer players
2:40 he says how to get the first one, and 4:14 he says exactly how to get them after
He starts the video by talking about what riven mods are, which helps new players learn their use. I’d rather someone spend some time to explain stuff rather than just jump right in.
You didn't watch the video did you? Lol
