※ 다람쥐 친구들이 추운 겨울을 이겨내기 위해 땅 속으로 겨울잠을 자러 갔습니다.
완전히 겨울잠을 자진 않고 굴 속에서 반수면 상태로 조금씩 먹기도 하고 배변 활동도 한다고 합니다.
부디 행복하고 건강한 모습으로 봄에 만날 수 있기를 빕니다.
다람쥐들이 겨울잠을 자는 동안에도 계속해서 2020년에 다 담지 못했던 친구들의 이야기들을 전해드리겠습니다.
※Currently, our chipmunk friends are having their winter sleep.
During the winter months I am going to publish some exciting unseen stories from earlier in the year.
When they sleep, it’s not a total hibernation. They wake up once in awhile to eat a little bit and go to the bathroom. Then they go back to sleep until the weather is warmer.
I really hope to see all of our chipmunk friends come back happy and healthy in the spring!
츄츄님 영상을 보면 신기한것 투성이입니다.
어떻게 저 작은 입속에 두줌씩이나 되는 씨앗이 다 들어가는지.
츄추님은 아이들 쓱 한번보시고 아이들 이름이나 혹은 낯선 다람쥐인지까지 다 알아내시는지 정말 신기하기만 합니다.
여기 한국은 연일 강추위가 계속되고있네요.

Thank you for your videos. Did you know that your channel would be so needed because a pandemic was coming?! Wow. I bet you've had many new viewers who would have never discovered you except for lockdown. My kids say when I watch your latest video "Mom's getting her oxytocin fix again." LOL. It's true. But my daughter has begun watching chipmunk videos too. My kids are in high and middle school; on-line. We also have chipmunks we feed. We're missing them over the winter so we watch your videos in the meantime. It reminds us to look forward to the spring when our little friends will return.

전에 어느 다람쥐다큐를 보니까 굴에다가 씨앗 도토리 다 포함해서 4000개 정도를 저장해서 겨울을 난다더군요.
So good to see Daddy in the videos! Now we can see how the little chippers have two very loving parents.. they are so lucky indeed! It’s not an easy life when you are a small critter in the forest, and every little noise scares you. These precious ones are getting such a wonderful helping hands from giants to ease their little lives. It is so uplifting to see.

밤 자체는 살아있는 씨앗이고 건조한 환경에서 오랫동안 보관할 수도 있고 발아되면 밤나무가 될 수 있으나 조각 내면 오래지 않아 썩어버립니다 다람쥐들은 먹이를 자신만 아는 곳에 여기저기 다니면서 땅에 파묻어 놓고 식량이 구할 수 없을 때 찾아서 먹는데 사람에게서 매일 얻어다가 땅에 파묻고 찾아 먹을 시간도 없을 것인데 밤을 잘라 주면 땅속에서 그냥 썩어버리겠네요 다람쥐나 청설모 등은 씨앗을 모아다가 여기저기 파묻어 놓고 더 이상 구하기 어려울 때 찾아먹는데 파묻어놓고 잃어버리는 경우도 있어서 발아돼서 나무로 성장하고 다시 열매가 열리면 다람쥐 먹이가 되는 것입니다 다람쥐는 의도하지 않았는지 모르지만 결과적으로 자신이 먹을 식량 나무를 심는 겁니다 그러니 발아돼서 나무로 될 수 있는 살아있는 씨앗을 주는 게 좋을 것 같습니다 ^^

다람쥐들 의외로 도토리나 밤종류보단 씨앗종류를 더 좋아하네...씨앗이 더 오래 저장이 가능해서 그런가 (밤은 달콤하니까 좋아할줄 알았는데..)
추운지역에서 살아남기위해 기름기 있는 열매를 선호하는것 같아요

My Squirrelly Girl loves chestnuts. She prefers them above all nuts and seeds. They are only availabĺe around Christmas too. Chippys don't recogniźe gourmet food when its offered
