Hi! Ucla is my dream college and i had a question cuz me and my friend want to go together and sleep in the same dorm are you allowed to chose ur room mate or no? btw love ur vid
So I've been looking for good universities that are good in the music production area and UCLA (my dream university/college) has been popping out as a good one in this area, alongside NYU and Belmont, so I wanted to confirm if this is actually a good college for that area, if you know something it would help a little, so yep, ima keep looking for more
Hello there! Nice Video! I will dorming soon in the Fall. I got a Deluxe Triple in the Residence Halls. I am kind of worried about the communal bathrooms during Covid and I was wondering if you know how many people share a bathroom on each floor? I do want to switch to this dorm though after seeing your review!
Im on the hunt looking for colleges with private bathrooms. Yours look really nice! Did you have to pay extra for it or did you have to request it..or something? If you did have to pay extra, how much?
Yes I requested it; it was extra by a few thousand but I don’t remember the exact amount. The prices on the UCLA Housing page are different this year because of covid, so I would email them directly if you’re interested in exact rates!
incoming bruin (haven't officially committed yet)! (i know that this question is subjective) how is your experience living at ucla? has it been easy to adjust living with other people? is it hard to get triple plaza w private bath, and is it a lottery system to get the dorm you requested for? is the environment as competitive as everyone makes it out to be? thank you in advance (:
hi Natalie excited to have you on campus! I enjoy the convenience of living at ucla dorms rather than apartments (but that opinion has yet to change haha). I'm a fairly flexible person and you definitely have to communicate with your roommates to adjust to living with them. I'm not sure how difficult it is to get a triple plaza private, but if all of your roommates put that as your guys' first choice, there is a good chance you'll get it. for freshmen it's lottery (unless you're a Regents Scholar or athlete) and in the following years you get assigned enrollment times by lottery to choose your housing. as for competitiveness, it's definitely not as awful as people say! it's obvious that everyone at ucla has a drive and motivation to learn so as long as you are willing to put in some effort, the results will show :) hope that helps!
Hi Melinda, when you submitted your housing application, did you submit it after you found your two roommates or did you agree on rooming together after you all submitted your respective application?
@@dylanzheng4903 hi Dylan, I submitted mine after finding roommates on Facebook so that we could see each other's living preferences. however I think you can submit it beforehand and then edit your application to include your roommates!
hi Cordelia! congrats baby bruin welcome home :) yes both of my roomies were freshmen; I found one of them through the ucla facebook group and the other was already planning on rooming with the one I talked to!
desirrie medina since I’m paying out-of-state tuition, room and board is around $1800 a month. it varies depending on if you’re a California resident, international student, and what meal plan you choose. you can find more details here: www.admission.ucla.edu/Prospect/budget.htm
melinda chang wait this is such a crazy coincidence!! I was searching dorm videos to decorate and saw your room looked so familiar!! I’m living in 114 right now!! And I actually found some stuff in my room that might be yours or your roommates! I found a really pretty painting and a clear pink Fanny pack. Which I can totally return to you if it’s yours or your roommates 😂

yes! you can indicate your roommate preferences on your housing application; if your roommates have matching preferences, co-ed living is an option.
