    That was fun to watch! I could almost feel treetops scraping my butt!

    There’s a pair of AT802s that are contracted to put out spot fires in the summer near me. They are impressive beasts. I’m blown completely away by the altitudes you guys fly at! Please stay safe!

    Went to a small air show where I live here in Texas and Air Tractor brought 3 spray planes over for a display. First time I have ever saw a plane BACK UP into a parking space!

    That reminds me soooo much of playing around in the Everglades with a Pawnee PA-25-260. Wayyy too much fun!

      I have about 40hrs in a 260 D model. The plane I’m flying in the video could carry almost 6 pa-25’s if you could fit them in the hopper 😂

      @@pcohen85 😂 I’ve got about 7000 hours in the Pawnee…retired banner pilot. Always wanted to fly an 802 but didn’t wanna do crop dusting. Hired many ex-crop dusters tho 😂

    They don't call them "Air Tractor" for nothing... From a 36 year aerospace machinist (retired).

    Sorry but I had to come back. I know you are loaded but why is there so much stick movement? I thought the 802 was super responsive on the stick. It looks as if you are almost fighting it...

    • @pcohen85
      @pcohen85  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      802 isn’t that responsive. Flying that plane is comparable to doing the tango with a fat girl. It takes a little coercing sometimes.

      I was a flagman back in the early 80s. A Pilot told me that Thrush was closer to a water truck then a P51 😀

    Maybe in a couple years I can go load and see what I think of the industry. What do pilots typically make?

    • @pcohen85
      @pcohen85  ปีที่แล้ว

      A good average is around $400 per tach hour

      hello patrick how are you!
      I'm an agricultural pilot in Brazil with 10 years of experience and around 3500 hours of farming!
      I'm thinking of moving to the US! how is the work out there? Is it possible for me to find work in an agricultural company? Thank you for the information!

    • @pcohen85
      @pcohen85  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alexleao6463 There is plenty of work for experienced ag pilots in the USA. If you came here with the appropriate visas and whatever else you needed to work you would not have trouble finding a job.

      Patrick thank you very much for your information! I'm working on getting the proper visa!!
      Who knows, maybe we'll see each other soon! grateful

    Cropdusting is one of the most repetitive, monotonous occupations, factory assembly line style occupations next to pipe line patrol I’ve ever done. Grew up in it and still do it, after airlines. It makes you brain dead as an aviator unless you keep actively flying other aircraft including multi Eng , IFR on a normal basis.
