My parents and i had 2 cockatiels before, both girls.🦅🐧 🦅 The first one was named Squeak, a lutino one. She was quite active like a boy cockatiel and matched all the boy traits u talked about, except for singing and she laid an egg once in a while. 🐧Bubble was a normal grey one and she sometimes sang. Maybe it's because she had a husband and 4 adult sized chicks when we adopted her and she learned from them. I have no proof that Squeak ever married or had kids. She was the only pet when we adopted her from 2 old people, from a Kijiji ad.
Is this my dream or something because idk if my cockatiel is a girl or a boy but i think he is a male and i don't want to see him laying eggs i want a boyyy
I have a 1 year old. Breeder told me it was a male at 2 months old. But he has all the traits of a female. Did not lay an egg yet. He does not sing. Chirps a lot if I leave the room, doesnt like other people. He bonds with me.
I wanted to know so bad cuz my tiels are confusing me. So to check it i put a breeding box in their cage for 2 weeks. Mango who tends to sing a lot sat inside it and started hissing but the quiet one also tried to get in there . The quiet one hiss more than mango and don't sing a lot im confused
Hey there! You could get them DNA tested to see what gender they are. I wouldn't encourage putting a breeding box in though as that could trigger hormones!
Fluffy had a DNA test by cutting the nail and the results were male which I was expecting because he has been whistling in the afternoons when he is in his cage But he doesn't do the heart wings one because he is still pretty young
The breeder told me that nutella is a girl and I guess so because she has light orange cheeck patches stripes on her tail and dots under her wings but whenever she opens her wings it's shaped like a heart 🤔🤷
100% NO Shereen! I am really against wing clipping in general as it isn't good for the bird. There's a great video on a channel called paws claws and feathers about the topic featuring advice from vets and youtubers!

Yes, very useful. Thanks David. Now we got some more indicators, that Chuck is a boy.
