The second time he visits the noodle stand, as the camera pulls back when the episode is ending, there is a puddle showing his reflection, pay attention to it as a droplet of water falls into it and causes a ripple. You see Ying as a kid.
That's one of the reasons I love Sifu. A fantastic game with lots of features, but a simple storyline that gets you questioning the character's journey, so there's always a big picture lesson to learn in regards to revenge. The secret level episode takes it further by posing the effects of a certain life lived. For the old lady, it was mastering the dumplings, for the MC, it's mastering his martial arts for revenge!
i love your breakdowns of realistic fights in media. i think it's a great idea to cover stuff other than manga too. will cultivate a wider audience and also means you won't run out of content. when i was a kid my country ran a lot of anime on tv, but once i started training i always felt most fights were missing something. this channel shows me so many interesting series and is just cool to see as a combat athlete! i think you have a really unique niche here that you present in a unique and interesting way. subscribed and excited to catch up on all your videos + new ones.
Thanks man, appreciate the long comment and the subscribe! I'm gonna start looking at different mediums as the channel grows. A Tekken video series is definitely on my list. Might analyze the Mishima style from an irl perspective or something like that
@@arby6097 oh that's cool, i feel like almost every series has a proprietary style like that so there's definitely a lot to cover. looking forward to it :) one of my favs is kiichi's nadashingake style in tough where he strikes to open and jump on submissions instead of just standup or positional grappling. reminds me a bit of how charles oliveira fights
This might be wrong, but it could make sense that they didn't show sean's fight because of the wude ending in the game, it doesn't make much sense since he kills a bunch of people on the way to him, but it's just a thought really.
I don't think the concept of wude was referenced in the episode, it was more about revenge. Still quite disappointed they skipped over the 1v1 boss fight
I personally found it disappointing. Sure the animation was fantastic, but it was way too short and it was basically an abridged version of The Club level. Plus, there was no Sean fight, which just sucks. Honestly, this first batch of Secret Level episodes, was a big let down for me.
I’d be happy to see anything fighting related, honestly I’m sure you could present even none fighting stuff and still have it be entertaining. (Might have to watch secret level now)
That ending was so bittersweet. Probably my fave alongside the New World ending

there's enough story material in sifu for a whole tv adaptation imo
Keep up the good content, you should definitely explore martial arts in different forms of media.

How could they make a game in mandarin, then create an episode with every language BUT chinese? Smh
Probably cuz its not the same people who wrote the game.
The game wasn’t in mandarin at first though. It was English only at first
If you keep crying I’m sure it will change.
lol my only complaint was that there’s only 7 minutes of content and only 4 of those minutes are actual fighting
Actually anything about martial arts is fine with me!!
Same 😀
Same here ✌️🤝🫡😁

Accurate review, dunno why this guy is lying
I get that, it felt more like an ad/trailer for the game than a fully fleshed-out story. I still think it was the best one out of this batch.
Yes, but only the length was disappointing. My hope is it was testing the appetite for a full length version.

So far the Sifu and Unreal Tournament ones were the best, others were ok but had interesting casts
Amazing are too much.
Good are my taste.
you thought daredevil had the most realistic hallway fight? clearly never watched oldboy
i've seen oldboy, it just slipped my mind. which is crazy considering how the game directly references it lol
