    I love it how the First Battle of Beruna in LWW film (my personally favorite battle) was portrayed, with such of strategies, vast armies, hero acts and all kinds of creatures on both sides. The Second Battle of Beruna between Old Narnians (even some of Witch's old followers) vs Telmarines is my second favorite. I also love the Battles of Anvard and Stable Hill for the descriptions of the battles in the books, though I tend to keep the Battle of the Stable Hill as the most darkest battle due to Trian, Eustace, Pole and the few braver and loyal Narnians "almost" lost to the Calormenes and brainwashed Narnian traitors, as they lost majority of their friends and closest allies in it.

    I love the video! My favorite battle would be the first battle of Beruna from the LW&W. I do love the fact that you did bring up the battle of the mind and the heart and hearing the Lion's Call. Not many do not realize that the battle of the mind and the heart are being fought for today, and many are ignoring/dismissing/rejecting the Lion's Call as fable and or rejection of Aslan Himself. He is calling to us each day to better ourselves, help our fellow neighbors, pray for those who are lost, and to have faith, trust and come to Him when we are facing challenges. 🦁❤️

    The mystery of Charn and the ghosts of the past is something that had a huge impact on my youthful mind. We can tell by the statuesque remains of the "recent" emperor's and emperoress's faces and stances that Charn's royalty was long lost. However, the only account of what actually happened is told to us through the twisted and unreliable narrative of Jadis.
    The war could have been another upheaval of one evil princess over another evil queen. Or it could have been a last ditch effort by the populace to save Charn. Or Jadis's sister could have been the first in a long line of hateful and oppressive royalty who realized the flaws and with a good heart intended to bring Charn back to the days when the empire was ruled by "kindly" people.
    We will never know the truth. Charn is a totally dead and lost world with no lasting mark except Jadis.

    To be honest, when I thought of pivotal battles in Narnian history, the battle between the Emerald Witch vs Prince Rilian and his allies came to mind. Admittedly, it wasn’t a battle upon which the fate of Narnia’s world rested, but it WAS a battle that decided the future of the Narnian nation

    • @IntotheWardrobe
      @IntotheWardrobe  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Thanks for your comment! Yes, I considered including Rilian's fight with the Lady of the Green Kirtle, but in the end I couldn't consider it a military battle in the same way as the others. But it was epic and important for sure!

    • @jayt9608
      @jayt9608 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I too pondered this briefly, but also discounted it for exactly the same reason. This was a three or four on one fight and from the beginning more about espionage than open war. The Green Witch was a more insidious foe than was the White Witch.

  • @nicolesudjono
    @nicolesudjono 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I just realized that the Last Battle is nearly equivalent to Avenger's Endgame portal 🔥Man, to see that in the big screen would be a treat! I've read the Last Battle and I know it didn't really end that way, but I feel like if they can tweak that Last Battle a little, it'd be super cool. Cuz honestly, the way he ended with Susan not being there is a little disappointing for me.
    I also think that when CS Lewis made the Last Battle, it was a little rushed? Because he was spending time with Joy and when he finally married her, he was spending a lot more time with her until her death 4 years later. And then after her death, his faith was tested as he's trying to cope with her death that made him write the book The Problem of Pain. that's why he wasn't able to write about Susan's last journey. At least, this is what I think, cuz Narnia has an amazing lore that needs more exploration, almost equivalent to Tolkien if I say so myself.
    Nonetheless, thanks for pointing out these epic battles! Even the off screen battles blew my mind when you talked about it. I think I should start re-reading the books again when I have the time.

    My grandma won that battle for me when i was only 2. She was a sunday school teacher and introduced me to god early. It worked better than she could have imagined. I like to say the big guy cheated a bit to get me by basically holding up a sign for free hugs and using mama as introction and bait. She was the type that loved kids and was easy to love herself. I say god cheated only because I really should have been too young to understand, yet it definitely worked. Mama is currently serving as bait for her family to get their butts into heaven. It's very effective for me at least. The decision i made as a toddler is still the best choice i ever made when i was irnically far too young to understand what a choice even was. No regrets after over 3 decades and counting.

My sister is 3 years old and today I showed her the movie version of the lion the witch and the wardrobe and she liked it mostly but she is still very young and got restless through some of it. I plan on showing her again in a year or two and planting the thoughts in her mind to make her own choice about this story and what it means. To me it means that something magical and great can be a reality if we believe. But I still don’t fare well with religion tbh.

    I, too, know Aslan’s name in our world. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ

    The final battle mentioned has already been won for us. Christ Jesus died for our sins, but rose victoriously swallowing up death by His death and resurrection. He ascended and sits at the right hand of the Majesty on High, making intercession for those whom He purchased and purified. Blessed be our Lord and God Christ Jesus!

      Our battles will reign until we say farewell to these mortal Shadowlands. Lest We Forget ...

      Heaven is for real and so much better than Narnia! And if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved and have eternal life in heaven.
