What I like about Cesario is that he doesn't need to use spray on his hair or dress as if he was in the 80s. He simply has the sound and it's more than enough.
Cesario is light-years ahead of all the others. Imo of course... Sure he doesn't go all out Yngwie style with clothing etc, but regarding technique he is all there....
Cesario is just miles ahead of the rest. Speed, accuracy, phrasing, intonation, feel, and vibrato. But then he allows all his other influences and music study shine through his playing. Even in the short clip here with Joe you see he sneaks in a sweet little altered lick that you’ll never hear from Malmsteen. I highly recommend his premium TH-cam channel membership, and courses he offers. I’d like to see them have a shred off in Malmsteen’s prime. The man!! Katsu Ohta is amazing too. If I had any other suggestions on who to look into.
9:14 this young guitarist name is Eddy Wan Othman also known as Eddy Malmsteen in Malaysia. One of the best Malmsteen clone in Malaysia. Died on August 2020, electrocuted by a malfunctioning water heater. He died while trying to help his sister who was also electrocuted.
I think Cesario Filho is the best. And he does it right and isn't ridiculous: he plays Yngwie but he doesn't try to be Yngwie. He just implements that type of style and tries to make it his own. Perfectly respectable. And I wouldn't exactly call them clones either but my go-to guys to learn Yngwie stuff are TomShreds, whose "touch" is about as good as you're gonna see anywhere and he always has a great tone. I also follow a guy who calls himself ChasingFrets, who demonstrates a lot of Yngwie stuff note for note in slow motion with tab. And Chris Brooks is an excellent player too I learn a lot of Yngwie stuff from as well. Of all these guys I think Cesar is the best. He can just improvise is the style of Yngwie all day long and it's effortless and flawless. They're all fantastic players though.
Cesario Filho is the best, because he can play his own thing and many other shrapnel players. Cesario can do yngwie directional picking or play strict alternate like Gilbert and Vinnie Moore
Joe Stump is one of the very best!!!! The guy jamming with him is another Super Human!!!!!! He is a guy who owns it 100% & I bet he can do anything!!!!! He has his own look which shows me that he dose it all on his terms which is what I like!!!!! He is in my opinion a top top top top player who needs too be a part of a great band!!!!!
Joe is a super nice guy too, he sent me an e-mail with some pointers, tips, and encouragement. And some resources, he is always willing to help fellow guitarists, I have spoken to many of his students and they love him, he is greatly respected.,
Of course the other players are great in yng-way, but Kelly's playing is very musical and emotional in his own way. You can clearly tell it's him from his vibratos and expressions with certain passages. Check out his albums and live streams.
Playing note for note covers of yngwie is kinda lame IMO. Not saying its easy.......but guys like Cesario and Stump have actually mastered his style and can improvise and compose their own material and that is super impressive.
9:39 why they put yngwie cartoon painting as stage background? Because this was a tribute to Yngwie Malmsteen show, to welcome the man himself, Mr. Yngwie Malmsteen to Malaysia.
Panos A. Arvanitis is the body that contains de ingenious soul of YJM. This lad has the control over the instrument, tone, bends and vibrato technics. Check him out!
It always depends what one wants to attain. I think Cesario is the closesd to Yngwies sound. Joe Stump playes like Yngwie but has his own tone and his own gear. He is the most sucessful and mature musican with his own rock star attitude. More than a clone. Chris Impelitteri would be similar to him. The boys who are lookalikes. Ok. A spitting image is perfect for a tribute band. The boy with the impaired hands! Wow! A paragon for us all! Max Ostro... not of this world! In one league with Jason Becker. Label: Genious.
Cool video, while definitely in the neo-classical shred style, I don’t think Joe Stump ever wanted to be an YJM cover artist but rather be known for his “own thing”. I used to follow him quite a bit.
We need a new section, who is the best Panos Clone! Panos as l have said for over a dozen years now has it all. Taste, killer technique, emotional feel, composition, versatility,he can play anything. Really sound guy too,l started talking to him maybe around 2009? He will answer any messages from fans and explain what he uses to get his sick tone,l called him a Greek God back in 2012 and l stand by it,l have to say though that red strat regular looking (Brazilian?) Dude is UNREAL. He is not a clone,he has stunning technique but so much more. He has feel, emotion and an original touch and he blew away Stump! Final mention to the disabled guy. Tears here and this is nothing to do with his disability, his actual notes touched me MORE than ALL the others,l felt every heartbreaking melody. For sheer emotional feel he wins over all of them in this video.
Getting early into this video, I'm going to say right off the bat, Eddie Wan Othman. From the looks, gear, tone, and phrasing. The best hands down. Eddie Wan Othman RIP
Tom Shreds is incredible!!! I bought his Swedish shreds package, and I have Joe Stumps Books ( and some TH-cams). Both men are SUPER nice ( I have spoken to both of them) and super helpful. Great guys!!
The late Eddy Wan Othman was in your part 1 covering brothers. The middle one is Joe Burnmark and the lefty is Man Keedal which literally means Man lefty
Simonz has definitely gotten the feel right, there's a reason why Mark Boals did Yngwie tribute shows with him (He's the one who sings in both Trilogy and Alchemy)
Kelly Simonz taught this guitarist I've been very obsessed with as a teenager (Syu). You should check out Syu next! My favourite song from him is Everlasting.
Both videos were excellent, and the truth is that you should have been included to yourself at the beginning because of all the wonderful things you did in relation to Master Malmsteen. More greetings to Colombia from Mexico. ♫ ♥🎸♪
The guy with the reverse headstock is really really good but the guy with the red Stratocaster is a fantastic clean artist and the very first guy is one of my very favorite guitarists
3 neoclassical guitarists i'm getting inspiration from rn 1 - Panos Arvantis 2 - Cesario Fillo 3 - Damian Salazar As much as Kelly simons playing, i would replace him and select Katsu Ohta instead.
Cesar is clearly the best sounding. Like I can hear what all the others are going for, but he's the only one that nails all the accidentals. I don't think even the man himself could have played something as cool as Cesar's opening line in this vid. Joe Stump, though rather messy in this vid, has the best pedal notes I've ever heard. You'll have to search for it as it's not in this vid but when you hear it it's insane. Like Castlevania-style.
I agree with the number one choice bc it’s SO much harder playing it live, with a lot of movement, and acrobats and still nailing it. That being said Cesario is the closest to yngwie.
I'm honestly surprised you don't have Katsu Ohta on your list! He is basically (another) Yngwie clone from japan, he has the looks, sound and technique. I would go as far to say he has better fretting hand technique then yngwie himself. Very underrated guitarist.
Hard Alexandre is the best reproducing Malmsteen style. The technical part, way to think, the feeling, arpeggios, sweeps. Without images easily you can thing that is Yngwie playing on his best years.
Wan Radzie Othman a.k.a Eddy Malmsteen n his sister reported passed away bcoz of electrocuted by water heater. Their son s well but luckily found saved...
Joe Stump and Cesario Filho are the two best. Period. Stump's Speed Metal Messiah is a CLASSIC album and worth a listen if you've never heard it. He teaches at the Berkley School of Music. Also, I had my Pro II Strat scalloped by Stump's luthier, Dean at DC Custom Guitars, and it came out amazing \m/
@@JD-vj4go agreed. Cesario is definitely on point, and I'd put him up there with anyone as far as being a "YJM clone", but Stump's original music is so genuine and creative I'd put him above the rest, without hesitation. I've been a fan of his for probably 20 years now
The first of the 2 honorable mentioned, amazed me, I gotta watch more of them videos for those moments I feel stuck and I say I CANT PLAY. Impressive indeed
I'm not impressed with any of this. If a guitarist has not established his or her own style and technique, they have not yet arrived at being an accomplished guitarist. Anyone can study and learn covers and the techniques of the great players, including Yngwie. It's kind of pathetic to see people cloning other guitarists. Like EVH said...be yourself, develop your own style and do your own thing.
Here’s what I like about Joe Stump. He does what YM did for a while without screwing up his music with lyrics and singing. I mean really, why would YM want to add sing to his music. That always frustrated me. Joe just blows chops all day. Some of my favorite stuff to listen to when I’m killing it at the gym.
Hi, Andrew! Try to check out Norifumi Shima of Concerto Moon from Japan. I'm not really sure of you can consider him as a YJM clone, but maybe if you can check on some of his guitar solo videos :)
Cesario is insane, never seen anyone play like him. He’s an absolute masterclass.
Like a young Yngwie on Viking steroids.
What I like about Cesario is that he doesn't need to use spray on his hair or dress as if he was in the 80s. He simply has the sound and it's more than enough.
Rolex and shooting glasses
Cesário is the best.
Cesario is light-years ahead of all the others. Imo of course...
Sure he doesn't go all out Yngwie style with clothing etc, but regarding technique he is all there....
For me, Cesário Filho is the best in every aspect, except clothes, jewelry and other extravagances of questionable taste.
Cesario is an unique chapter for the history of Shred Guitar.
Uh no.... Rip
I jus know him... He is no more... Sad...
I recognized him from part 1.
RIP

Great comment! Thanks for mentioning these other guys too.
I checked TomShreds channel, hes really good!! Thanks for your comment!
The guy with the red strat has it, completly. The sound, the feel, the vibrato... what a fan. 😂
Panis Arvanitis, the Greek legend, is leagues ahead of everyone else.
No one sounds like Yngwie than Cesário filho, he's Fu...ing Awesome!!!!!
I second this. Cesario is crazy good
Search for a young guy named Axl Davy...just 21 years old! GUY IS INSANE! brazilian guitarplayer
Cesário is the Best, just incredible!
Ozielzinho não se garante tanto no malmsteem assim não, Cesário ainda é melhor @@BillKurn
CESARIO IS FXCKING AMAZING
Cesario is in a whole different level. Dude sounds more like Yngwie than Yngwie himself lol
Cesario Filho is the best, because he can play his own thing and many other shrapnel players.
Cesario can do yngwie directional picking or play strict alternate like Gilbert and Vinnie Moore
Eddy Wan Othman died August 2020
Eddie Van Halen died oktober 2020
Rip to our legend guitar player...
its Eddie Wan Othman . RIP. from Malaysia.
Seeing at 13:26 made me emotional, music is not just a skill for the fingers but also prioritizes feelings and the heart, you can definitely feel it
Rest in Peace Eddy Malmsteen, died on 23rd of August 2020 with his older sister, electrocuted from water heater. 😢😢
No way... I had no idea. that's so sad. :( He was a really good player!! Rest In peace Eddy 🙏
R.I.P. Eddy 😕😢
Sad to know that. Really talented young player. Gone too soon.
related to the enigguie?
Ufff that sucks. RIP
7:18 that picture is hilarious 😂
I find it funny how people hate on Yngwie so much but love cloning him, lol.
bingo
The ones who end up "cloning" him obviously love him/are borderline obsessed though. I don't think a hater would try to copy him
Joe Stump is one of the very best!!!!
Joe Stump is a teacher at Berkley Music Institute. So obviously he is a giant standing on the shoulders of another giant.
Joe is a super nice guy too, he sent me an e-mail with some pointers, tips, and encouragement. And some resources, he is always willing to help fellow guitarists, I have spoken to many of his students and they love him, he is greatly respected.,
not even yngwie sounds like yngwie
From Malaysia the second video is Eddie, he pass on at a young age. RIP son.
Of course the other players are great in yng-way, but Kelly's playing is very musical and emotional in his own way. You can clearly tell it's him from his vibratos and expressions with certain passages. Check out his albums and live streams.
I think Kelly and Cesario are the best....
Yeah, saying that Kelly lacks precision was pretty stupid I think
Playing note for note covers of yngwie is kinda lame IMO. Not saying its easy.......but guys like Cesario and Stump have actually mastered his style and can improvise and compose their own material and that is super impressive.
Joe Stumpf has the Alcatrazz, Steelers and Rising Force tone that brings me back. That's my guy.
9:39 why they put yngwie cartoon painting as stage background? Because this was a tribute to Yngwie Malmsteen show, to welcome the man himself, Mr. Yngwie Malmsteen to Malaysia.
7:46 That left handed guy with strings upside down is Man Kidal. He’s 61 years old and still shredding 😄💪🏻
yes country opposite mine a Malaysian
Panos A. Arvanitis is the body that contains de ingenious soul of YJM. This lad has the control over the instrument, tone, bends and vibrato technics. Check him out!
The number one Yngwie clon is katsu ohta by far. You can hear him searching for his band Ark Storm too. Good video. Abrazo.
Thank you for the analysis. Your open mind and appreciation and recognition of various elements of Yngwie's playing was enjoyable to watch. Great job!
It always depends what one wants to attain.
I think Cesario is the closesd to Yngwies sound.

in fact joe stump has become better from his earlier records
I'm agree with Eddy the one of the best Yngwie clone.. All karakter he got owesome.. ❤❤
Stump is DEVASTATING. Very articulate. WTF!
Cool video, while definitely in the neo-classical shred style, I don’t think Joe Stump ever wanted to be an YJM cover artist but rather be known for his “own thing”. I used to follow him quite a bit.

12:00 This dude even got Yngwie's belly too. 💀
Cesario also has his own voice, as soon as he goes out of his Malmsteen like stuff he is still a monster
Alexandre Hard from Brazil is very good too. Check.
The Late Eddie Wan Othman From Malaysia F...... Awesome
A few other players to consider.....Katsu Ohta, Howie Simon, Peter Lidström, Borislav Mitic, and Tom Shreds. 😁
Tom Shreds is incredible!!! I bought his Swedish shreds package, and I have Joe Stumps Books ( and some TH-cams). Both men are SUPER nice ( I have spoken to both of them) and super helpful. Great guys!!
Marcus Lavendell is the best by far, he is such a good player with such a good tone! Old but gold.
The late Eddy Wan Othman was in your part 1 covering brothers. The middle one is Joe Burnmark and the lefty is Man Keedal which literally means Man lefty
I've been watching Cesario for a couple of years now and he just is one hell of a player man, he kills it.
Walter Giardino from Rata Blanca is also incredible and sometimes sounds similar to Yngwie!!!
There is one Yngwie Malmsteen in this world. And He is irreplaceable.
CESÁRIO FILHO NUMBER ONE !!!!!!!!! THE BEST
Cesario can play George Bellas stuff too...
Simonz has definitely gotten the feel right, there's a reason why Mark Boals did Yngwie tribute shows with him (He's the one who sings in both Trilogy and Alchemy)

rest in peace Eddy Wan Othman..al fateeha
Guitarist from Malaysia it name. Man Keedal, Joe Burnmark, Eddy Wan Othman Eddy already passs away a few year ago..He it very nice person...
My favourite are Panos Antonio Arvanitis and Cesário Filho... And also Joe Stump is a very good one....

Cesario is a monster! He has that casual attitude and style where he makes it seem effortless .. although I know better.
Joe Stump is no slouch,,,,,but I prefer Cesario Filho,,,, He is so Awesome,,,
Joe & Casariio did a video together
Cesario all the way!!!
Hahaha I know Lannerback, same Yngwie xD
I agree with the number one choice bc it’s SO much harder playing it live, with a lot of movement, and acrobats and still nailing it. That being said Cesario is the closest to yngwie.
What song is the guy with the red strat playing?
Cesario Filho
I would gess that it's an improvization over a backingtrack
Miss Katsu Ohta.
I'm honestly surprised you don't have Katsu Ohta on your list! He is basically (another) Yngwie clone from japan, he has the looks, sound and technique. I would go as far to say he has better fretting hand technique then yngwie himself. Very underrated guitarist.
I think you should look Elmo karjalainen yngwie impressions, hes really enthusiastic for the sound
Check out Beppe Chiolerio's version of Brothers. He nailed tone, touch and vibrato
Hard Alexandre is the best reproducing Malmsteen style. The technical part, way to think, the feeling, arpeggios, sweeps. Without images easily you can thing that is Yngwie playing on his best years.

Cesário Filho and Hard Alexandre are the 2 best Malmsteen players on the planet!!!
That Girl is another SUPER HUMAN!!!!!
Ritchie Kotzen should check her out,as this is Fingerstyle at it's very very very best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly is Phenomenal!
Wow. Threengwie Malmsteens!
Hey aren't you kind of a yjm clone your self bud?😂
I was 😅😅
@Andrew-Roz all good people say I'm him all the time trolling we are all a ynigwie
Hi, Andrew! Try to check out Norifumi Shima of Concerto Moon from Japan. I'm not really sure of you can consider him as a YJM clone, but maybe if you can check on some of his guitar solo videos :)
Yngwie is the best 😊
Used to be a Turkish chap on TH-cam called Emreg and he was pretty awesome, but hasnt done any content for ages.
Cesario plays like the young y gwie
.
Hail Cesar
I saw Joe Stump playing as a member of Joey Belladonna's solo band. I think it was 1992 at the Limelight in NYC.
Are you sure that the first guy trying to play Trilogy Suite isn’t Marilyn Manson?
The Dude with the disability is 100% off the scale SUPER HUMAN!!!!!!!!!!!
NOBODY could match him!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its fun. These clones needs to gets their own life.
Kotsu Ohta is another great Yngwie disciple. Check out his Young Guitar vid!
Cesario maestro :D
Please make a video about @CesarioFilho, he is the best Yngwie style player.
He's mentioned in the second Video 😉
eddy 😢
congratulation for late Eddy Wan Othman...
I've got some Yngwie covers/Improv style. Trilogy, Perpetual & Krakatau (prob best one...on a scalloped Gibson :P)
04:33 😳 brought 04:38 🙃🙏🏻🧡
1st time seeing this music...I was distracted by all the Blackmore Elvis Presley Michael Jackson moves Yngwie used.
Cesario Filho is the best Yngwie style player, and thats it!" BRAZIL!
Yngwie depises these guys that clone him! He said Because they don't have their own stuff they steal his.🤣
Cesario rocks, he plays like a demon
Have you checked Edu Ardanuy and Marco de Ros? Edu may still be the fastest single neck guitar player around
Exceptional hearing makes a good player. What you hear needs to translate to your fingers.
