in my opinion, Miss Earth and Miss World are the Alpha Pageant because they walk what they talk. Miss Earth being true for Environmental Advocacy and Miss World being an NGO for Charity Works.

Miss Earth is an Alpha Pageant. It's a trend setter (no-make up round, environmental advocacy), it has a very clear and solid brand, it has the 3rd biggest number of participants (there are also many years when it has had more contestants than Miss Universe), and it has fair and easy to understand judging system. Plus it has the best pre-pageant activities which make the girls enjoy the competition. And those who attend the pageant in person (like Luis and Dani Walker) can testify how amazing the event is.
@KianCalixtro Production value isn't the only criterion in making a pageant an alpha. Even Miss World and Miss Universe have had years of having bad productions but you can't remove them from being on top because they have the legacy and the solid brand. You're just a Miss Earth hater. Just support the pageant you love and stop pulling down others.

I agree with Mister Supra as an alpha pageant. Because when Mister Supra debuted in 2016, the male pageantry has never been the same again. I mean they really exemplified that male pageants can be relevant and entertaining too. And after that the rest of the male pageants have also exerted their efforts
My problem with current Miss Universe is that many of their business stunts come at the cost of the girls (case in point: that video about voting where high executives and the owner were insulting a few candidates). I think the most important criterion of being an alpha pageant is that it is empowering to the candidates.

Luis remains loyal to whoever pays the bills, and it's hard to blame him. MGI is only 12 years old but already stands alongside pageants that are over 70 years old, which are often prestigious in name only. MGI is a trendsetter-now everyone wants to create their beauty competitions, often mimicking other pageants instead of embracing their unique identity like MGI has. They developed their concept and have been unapologetic and unpretentious about the direction they chose to take. I'm fine with MGI being a beta pageant for now, as it is a new concept. However, we all know that MGI is the alpha pageant. Trust me, 2025 will solidify its status ALPHA

Miss Grand is not even Okay pageant for my following reasons: 1- the owner doesn't act with professionalism. 2- so he runs his without by-laws given to their franchisee. So the owner acted according to his feelings in addressing issues or infractions. Thus acting or reacting like miss myanmar if being embarrassed like wet marker vendor. 3- so the delegates are not properly screened. So personality disOrders and attitude problems arises. 4- their slogan and advocacy, stop war and violence is broken by the owner and their delegates because they themselves show violent reactions and doing attack like war freak. No decency and diplomacy in addressing untoward issues. 5- An international pageant should refrain using their local dialect/language during their staging of activities leading up to the finalè, for the whole world to consume every bits and pieces of what they are showcasing. thereby drawing interest and patronage because the humanity knows ENGLISH is a universal language. NOTE: Miss earth host personalities seldom to never use a Filipino/Tagalog word unless it is an expression word or proper nouns. Miss international and miss and mister Supranational sometimes speaks their language but the English translation follows rightaway. I can see no problem with that. While all others are very proud using their language, making it more annoying plus all the advertisements of sponsors. Making their show last for 3 hours. Why not make their winner speaks all of it during their reign? ✌
This ranking is very important, at least somehow critics and reviews would helped each organization to improve more and they would understand that dramas they create would affect there show. As for me I'm very disappointed with Miss Universe, I was a fan every year until they started Trans to join and a year after that they announced drastic change letting almost everybody to join. I don't even understand the essence of there advocacies anymore. I was glad that beauty contest these days are all about empowering others, giving inspirations but now it has becoming more of a drama and a joke.
You're being too biased. You've issues with MGI because they don't have a clear advocacy like your so called ME. What advocacy do MS has??? What social work does they do throughout the year. Their titleholders travels around the world without doing any work. Just attending national pageants. And btw what is ME's advocacy??? If we start classifying pageants solely on advocacy nobody comes close to MW. But it's a beauty pageant. For general audience its a source of entertainment. MW & MU have not become alpha solely based on their advocacy but its their show production, quality of contestants, quality of competition, and the exposure they give is what makes them alpha pageant. People don't even remember who won ME 5 years but they do remember who MGI 5 years ago. In my opinion they do deserve to be there. You’re free to feel differently, but to clarify your points: Miss Supranational (MS): Supra has its "From the Ground Up" initiative, which is mandatory for contestants. No project? No placement. Candidates must create a video, present it, and defend it in front of a panel and other contestants. Don’t take my word for it-search TH-cam; receipts are there. Miss Earth (ME): Nobody expects 80 pageant girls to save the planet (not even world leaders have figured that out). ME focuses on education, with initiatives like tree planting and seminars. Just because you don’t know their advocacy doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. They have an “Advocacy Presentation” for every contestant online. A quick Google search will tell you the reigning queen has been working on coral reef conservation in Australia. ME’s Production: I’ve criticized it too, but ME still leads the environmental pageant scene. Others like Miss Planet and Miss Eco have tried to take the crown but fell flat. ME consistently pulls 80+ countries yearly-a feat only MW has matched for years. Bias Claims: Let’s be clear-ME has NEVER paid me. If they had, I disclosed my collaborations in the video. And yes, when I work with a pageant I DO get paid for those partnerships, but that doesn’t mean I hand out special treatment. Period. Ps. I gave MGI their flowers for their production this year. But, as you said: "advocacy is not everything". The same goes for production. You can't just have one or the other. In my opinion, MGI is on its way to becoming major. It's undeniable. MGI is very interesting. Especially the part that the Queen does live selling. I'm not sure if that makes her so prestigious and grand. But at least she's helping the business.

Poor production is such a lame excuse. Corruption in ME is very transparent. They cut cost by hiring only 1 host. Robi even did the backstage hosting. And they used Capcut for video editing which is a free app. So basically, using the slogan saving the environment is such a lame excuse. However, the causes they believe in is what sets them apart. They have always been consistent with their causes. But I don't buy their reason during the pageant night. I still think there is corruption in their system.

I used to hate MGI before, but I saw a lot of improvement. If only they change their Slogan or their advocacy and pick something that is more realistic than Stop the War and Violence and be true to the new Slogan and no toxic words from Nawat and drama, they will be easily become an alpha pageant.

Miss Supranational does deserve Beta or maybe even lover in my opinion from 2 reasons: 1.We do not have the chance to see the girls walking alone on the pasarela, they walk very fast one after another or even in group of 4 - I dont like that 2. Last year we saw that they crowned a contestant who didn't have the best answer by far. It was sad to see Pauline not taking the title even if she had the best answer. How it is possible to crown a lady that responded with OMG...Do they look only to the outside beauty?? I still belive that Pauline A from Phillipines deserved the crown and I am not gona forgive them.
I think what would take Miss Supranational to be an Alpha pageant is to find an identity of it's pageant for example what kind of queen are they looking for. Plus they should host Miss Supranational to other countries to broaden there outreach. Also there winners should travel more throughout the year. There winner's kind of fade away during the year.

Both Miss Universe and Miss Grand International suffered bad press this year. But if I am being honest, MGI this year is at a point where they should be up there at the Alpha pageant. They have consistently produced the best final shows. Advocacy is clear. While I agree the pageant owner and even the fans goes against the organisations aim. They have established themselves as a leader in many aspects of what pageant should look like. Also, I suggest next year if you get to do this, do the pageant categories this way, Female Pageant, Male Pageant, Trans Pageant, don't randomized and mix them for a more structured approach. I watch all of your content and you are a favorite of mine.

Miss Asia Pacific International started as MISS ASIA. Only the countries in Asian Continent could join. It's like Miss Europe. Then after several years they changed the name to MISS ASIA PACIFIC QUEST where all countries from Asian Continent and all countries touching the PACIFIC SHORES can join the Pageant. Lately, they changed into MISS ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL to invite all countries all over the world. MISS ASIA PACIFIC WORLD is a different pageant based in KOREA and only existed in 2012-2015 i guess. MISS ASIA AND MISS ASIA PACIFIC QUEST was owned by CAROUSEL PRODUCTIONS. They sold the Pageant together with it's National Pageant "MUTYA NG PILIPINAS" when the carousel production decided to create MISS EARTH PAGEANT.
I agree with your choices luis. Now that there are a lot of new pageants. You cannot deny the fact that the Alpha pageants still standouts among this new pageant. You cannot deny thier legacy and identity. New pageants are just the same and clone of alpha pageants.

Honestly, MGI and Miss Supra have the potential to be alpha pageants like MW and MU, what keeps holding them back, however, is that one doesn't really follow their advocacy and the other's advocacy is vague or not everyone knows what they're advocating for. MGI's advocacy is about all anti-war and peace making, which is a great one especially the fact that war and violence are quite popular bywords when describing politics in most countries. However, I don't think they really walk the talk with their advocacy they're supposed to speak of, and it ends up being two-faced to me. Miss Supra on the other hand, while I get to know what MGI's advocacy is all about, Miss Supra's advocacy, I don't know at all. Sure, they're looking for a woman who is inspirational and aspirational, but I have no idea what's their advocacy, is it about human rights, women empowerment? I don't know. Again, these two pageants are alpha material, if only they've worked more on their advocacy.
Only alpha pageant that exist are Miss World and Miss Universe. No matter how hard you try to include other pageant in alpha category they won't make it to the list. They would only if MWO or MUO stops organizing pageant.

As long as these pageants are true to thier advocacies they should be an alpha pageant having a grand production is not enough the most important thing is pageants should not only have good shows or great production numbers but having good advocacies and implementing them

I know "Advocacy" is also such a valuable asset of the pageant community but I don't think that it really seems important for most of the pageant community. When a pageant like Miss Earth not even able to create that bubble of excitement in me (and many others) how I will be consider it so big. I have been following pageants for the past 6-7 years and I haven't seen any of the competition of Miss Earth and Miss International. These pageants don't create that buzz here and there. I do know that Miss Grand is full of drama every year but I think at the end people only hope to have superb production and exciting competition which is something there in Miss Grand. Moreover, this year Miss Universe created more drama than Miss Grand
At the end of the day, the real advocacy relevance and social impact of the pageant will remain as legacy forever...not just a one night golden stage productions.
Miss Earth needs to improve their production. It still looks like a BETA pageant to me. Mister Supranational doesn’t seem to have strong advocacy even tho their production was great. I hope to see their winner travel around the world after winning.
If you listened properly, I said that “amongst male pageants” Mr Supra is an Alpha. I never said it’s an Alpha over some of the other bigger pageants. It has the best production in the male world, it has an advocacy, there are perks for the winner and they get to travel. It checks all the boxes.

Even Miss World and Miss Universe have had years of having bad productions but you can't remove them from being on top because they have the legacy and the solid brand. My problem with current Miss Universe is that many of their business stunts come at the cost of the girls (case in point: that video about voting where high executives and the owner were insulting a few candidates). I think the most important criterion of being an alpha pageant is that it is empowering to the candidates.

Luis remains loyal to whoever pays the bills, and it's hard to blame him. MGI is only 12 years old but already stands alongside pageants that are over 70 years old, which are often prestigious in name only. MGI is a trendsetter-now everyone wants to create their beauty competitions, often mimicking other pageants instead of embracing their unique identity like MGI has.
They developed their concept and have been unapologetic and unpretentious about the direction they chose to take. I'm fine with MGI being a beta pageant for now, as it is a new concept. However, we all know that MGI is the alpha pageant. Trust me, 2025 will solidify its status ALPHA

Miss Grand is not even Okay pageant for my following reasons:
1- the owner doesn't act with professionalism.
2- so he runs his without by-laws given to their franchisee. So the owner acted according to his feelings in addressing issues or infractions. Thus acting or reacting like miss myanmar if being embarrassed like wet marker vendor.
3- so the delegates are not properly screened. So personality disOrders and attitude problems arises.
4- their slogan and advocacy, stop war and violence is broken by the owner and their delegates because they themselves show violent reactions and doing attack like war freak. No decency and diplomacy in addressing untoward issues.
5- An international pageant should refrain using their local dialect/language during their staging of activities leading up to the finalè, for the whole world to consume every bits and pieces of what they are showcasing. thereby drawing interest and patronage because the humanity knows ENGLISH is a universal language.
NOTE: Miss earth host personalities seldom to never use a Filipino/Tagalog word unless it is an expression word or proper nouns. Miss international and miss and mister Supranational sometimes speaks their language but the English translation follows rightaway. I can see no problem with that. While all others are very proud using their language, making it more annoying plus all the advertisements of sponsors. Making their show last for 3 hours. Why not make their winner speaks all of it during their reign? ✌

This ranking is very important, at least somehow critics and reviews would helped each organization to improve more and they would understand that dramas they create would affect there show. As for me I'm very disappointed with Miss Universe, I was a fan every year until they started Trans to join and a year after that they announced drastic change letting almost everybody to join. I don't even understand the essence of there advocacies anymore. I was glad that beauty contest these days are all about empowering others, giving inspirations but now it has becoming more of a drama and a joke.
You're being too biased. You've issues with MGI because they don't have a clear advocacy like your so called ME. What advocacy do MS has??? What social work does they do throughout the year. Their titleholders travels around the world without doing any work. Just attending national pageants. And btw what is ME's advocacy??? If we start classifying pageants solely on advocacy nobody comes close to MW. But it's a beauty pageant. For general audience its a source of entertainment. MW & MU have not become alpha solely based on their advocacy but its their show production, quality of contestants, quality of competition, and the exposure they give is what makes them alpha pageant. People don't even remember who won ME 5 years but they do remember who MGI 5 years ago. In my opinion they do deserve to be there. You are biased because of the connections you've with certain pageants. And if so you shouldn't make video regarding this topic.
I’ve said this before, but let me repeat it for those in the back: this is my opinion. You’re free to feel differently, but to clarify your points:
Miss Supranational (MS): Supra has its "From the Ground Up" initiative, which is mandatory for contestants. No project? No placement. Candidates must create a video, present it, and defend it in front of a panel and other contestants. Don’t take my word for it-search TH-cam; receipts are there.
Miss Earth (ME): Nobody expects 80 pageant girls to save the planet (not even world leaders have figured that out). ME focuses on education, with initiatives like tree planting and seminars. Just because you don’t know their advocacy doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. They have an “Advocacy Presentation” for every contestant online. A quick Google search will tell you the reigning queen has been working on coral reef conservation in Australia.
ME’s Production: I’ve criticized it too, but ME still leads the environmental pageant scene. Others like Miss Planet and Miss Eco have tried to take the crown but fell flat. ME consistently pulls 80+ countries yearly-a feat only MW has matched for years.
Bias Claims: Let’s be clear-ME has NEVER paid me. If they had, I disclosed my collaborations in the video. And yes, when I work with a pageant I DO get paid for those partnerships, but that doesn’t mean I hand out special treatment. Period.
Ps. I gave MGI their flowers for their production this year. But, as you said: "advocacy is not everything". The same goes for production. You can't just have one or the other. In my opinion, MGI is on its way to becoming major. It's undeniable. But I don't see them up there just yet with the likes of MU and MW. Again, just my opinion. Good day!

Poor production is such a lame excuse. Corruption in ME is very transparent. They cut cost by hiring only 1 host. Robi even did the backstage hosting. And they used Capcut for video editing which is a free app. So basically, using the slogan saving the environment is such a lame excuse. However, the causes they believe in is what sets them apart. Miss Supranational does deserve Beta or maybe even lover in my opinion from 2 reasons:
1.We do not have the chance to see the girls walking alone on the pasarela, they walk very fast one after another or even in group of 4 - I dont like that
2. Last year we saw that they crowned a contestant who didn't have the best answer by far. It was sad to see Pauline not taking the title even if she had the best answer. I think what would take Miss Supranational to be an Alpha pageant is to find an identity of it's pageant for example what kind of queen are they looking for. Plus they should host Miss Supranational to other countries to broaden there outreach. Also there winners should travel more throughout the year. There winner's kind of fade away during the year.

I agree that Miss World is an Alpha pageant... It looks totally different from other pageant.
Both Miss Universe and Miss Grand International suffered bad press this year.
But if I am being honest, MGI this year is at a point where they should be up there at the Alpha pageant.
They have consistently produced the best final shows. Advocacy is clear. While I agree the pageant owner and even the fans goes against the organisations aim. They have established themselves as a leader in many aspects of what pageant should look like.
Also, I suggest next year if you get to do this, do the pageant categories this way, Female Pageant, Male Pageant, Trans Pageant, don't randomized and mix them for a more structured approach.

Then after several years they changed the name to MISS ASIA PACIFIC QUEST where all countries from Asian Continent and all countries touching the PACIFIC SHORES can join the Pageant.
Lately, they changed into MISS ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL to invite all countries all over the world.

Honestly, MGI and Miss Supra have the potential to be alpha pageants like MW and MU, what keeps holding them back, however, is that one doesn't really follow their advocacy and the other's advocacy is vague or not everyone knows what they're advocating for. MGI's advocacy is about all anti-war and peace making, which is a great one especially the fact that war and violence are quite popular bywords when describing politics in most countries. However, I don't think they really walk the talk with their advocacy they're supposed to speak of, and it ends up being two-faced to me. Miss Supra on the other hand, while I get to know what MGI's advocacy is all about, Miss Supra's advocacy, I don't know at all. Sure, they're looking for a woman who is inspirational and aspirational, but I have no idea what's their advocacy, is it about human rights, women empowerment? I don't know. Again, these two pageants are alpha material, if only they've worked more on their advocacy.
Only alpha pageant that exist are Miss World and Miss Universe. No matter how hard you try to include other pageant in alpha category they won't make it to the list. They would only if MWO or MUO stops organizing pageant.

For me being a pageant fan...the more important thing is to have that interest generating capability in any organisation. I know "Advocacy" is also such a valuable asset of the pageant community but I don't think that it really seems important for most of the pageant community. When a pageant like Miss Earth not even able to create that bubble of excitement in me (and many others) how I will be consider it so big. I have been following pageants for the past 6-7 years and I haven't seen any of the competition of Miss Earth and Miss International. These pageants don't create that buzz here and there.
I do know that Miss Grand is full of drama every year but I think at the end people only hope to have superb production and exciting competition which is something there in Miss Grand. Moreover, this year Miss Universe created more drama than Miss Grand
At the end of the day, the real advocacy relevance and social impact of the pageant will remain as legacy forever...not just a one night golden stage productions.

If you listened properly, I said that “amongst male pageants” Mr Supra is an Alpha. I never said it’s an Alpha over some of the other bigger pageants.
It has the best production in the male world, it has an advocacy, there are perks for the winner and they get to travel. It checks all the boxes.
Supra interests me more than Earth... I also find it more exciting to follow and the final night production is better.

FYI, Miss France DID NOT get her title stripped. Nawat is not happy with how she showed her true colors in the end but she did not get her title stripped. MGI is an innovative and modern twist to the pageant world you can either love it or hate but you can't deny its presence.

Miss Earth is an Alpha Pageant. It's a trend setter (no-make up round, environmental advocacy), it has a very clear and solid brand, it has the 3rd biggest number of participants (there are also many years when it has had more contestants than Miss Universe), and it has fair and easy to understand judging system. Plus it has the best pre-pageant activities which make the girls enjoy the competition. And those who attend the pageant in person (like Luis and Dani Walker) can testify how amazing the event is.
