- Finally managed to beat it by figuring out which stats make patapons resistant to being frozen by weather effects. Turns out none of the masks providing cold resistance/defence do so. Instead, I had to either change the class to Supengu (Penguin), or equip my Tatepon Hero with a fire type shield (which I don't have yet). I also equipped my Kibapon with a Crimson Horse, which gives the Null Freeze effect and he wasn't frozen by weather effects either, so I guess that's the stat to look for against Kacchindonga.

Me personally I hate trying to farm the dragons bc their shout is so dangerous. Even if your troops can withstand the power, Hatapon cannot. If your tatepon hero ability isn’t activated tatepon is sure going to die from those dragon shout powers. I have a video I posted on my channel I titled ‘Hang on Hatapon’ showing how my farming failed due to Hatapon taking too many shouts and dying on me. But this is perfect, bravo👏🏾
Yeah the shout ability is mainly why I gave up on using Heropons other than a Tatepon, a high level Dodonga and the other dragons pretty much outlast my Hatapon so the Hero Tatepon is the way. I wish that the Hero Tatepon would protect the Hatapon as well, or that we could stagger the boss during the shout attack but I guess it's fine in the end since there's still a strategy in place to counter the shout attack.
@@zepu4300 yea I always use tatepon hero when doing a dragon battle, unfortunately in my battle that I posted, the hero was the first to get eaten bc he’s always up front. I used the pon pata retreat song but his ability activated and he rushed forward to cover the troops. That’s when he was eaten😢🪦
Yeah it's a pain when the Hero Tatepon just rushes towards enemies that can eat or kill Patapons with just 1 hit 😢
typically I just have a high stagger archer hero and he doesn't get to move
@@zepu4300I usually bring Kibapons, Robopons, and Dekapons each one having Demon, Divine, and Heaven attire. And occasionally make my hero a Megapon with the devastating Zuddongyu mask. And since Dodongas can be stunned I took the Earthquake juju to use anytime he hops back, then I command my army to charge!
I call it a recipe for victory rather than a recipe for farming.
Just when I was playing patapon 2 I asked myself what it would be like to farm a kachindonga.
Tatepon class hero is one of the best thing for every mission, don't know why he is very invicible

I'm so baffled they let you have a hero that can give your party total damage immunity...and all it costs is a little bit of damage output.
Not a consumable, no unit HP cost: just deal slightly less damage than you would've otherwise. Absolutely wild.
Tbh yeah I agree, the Tatepon Hero is ridiculous, as long as the boss has no instakill move then your team is effectively unkillable as long as Hero Mode doesn't break. It's still possible to lose to bosses with instakill moves since sometimes it's better to keep the Hero Mode off against certain enemies in certain situations and mistakes happen but the Hero ability is still ridiculous

Why are u only using 3x yumipons, yaripons and only 1 kibapon? Did u play the entire game without even making a full squad?
That's because I completed the game so many times that it was very repetitive and too easy so I made it a bit more interesting by leveling patapons as much as I could with unlocking as little as possible. For example you start with only 3 yaripons if I remember correctly so I'd play until I'd unlock Dodonga, then I'd level patapons with as much as possible with just the materials from the Dodonga. Once I'd reach the limit I'd progress until another boss with more materials. I also made it so I wouldn't create more patapons from each class until I unlocked every single patapon type and leveled the ones I already had to the max. You start with 3 yaripons so in addition I made 1 patapon from the other classes like tatepon etc but I wouldnt create more until I unlocked every single patapon type and leveled it to the max on the said tatepon. Hopefully this makes sense, I like the game a lot but after completing it I'd lose interest in the save so I'd make a new one but with this play style It'll take a long time before I complete the game since I'd have to level up all the patapons to the max first.

I think that's because I already got every weapon drop and I'm pretty sure you can't get duplicates
@@zepu4300 As far as I’m concern: Kacchindonga is guaranteed to drop a special weapon.
I'm not sure if it's guaranteed to drop a special weapon every time you fight it but it does drop them quite often. In my case however, I already got all the special weapons before so unfortunately it won't drop anything else other than materials at this point :/

He already has every unique weapons on the game. Otherwise he could get a shot on getting duplicates of said weapons, but they need to be obtained in the same attempt.
Why tree patapons?
That's because they have the highest chance of staggering bosses and since bosses drop items/kaching when staggered, tree patapons are very efficient when it comes to farming them!
