- Yard Sale Season is finally here and I stopped on my way to work Saturday and found some great treasures. We also shopped three of our local Goodwills on Sunday and scored some great things - including some awesome furniture - and everything was 20% off!!

I love that wood table, it has so much detail and that is a great find in the desk too. I was hoping you sold online because I wanted to buy the birds. Great haul.

*My favorites are the 2 birds 🐦 that came in a Set....you won't even need to paint them❣️😉 Many of your items today you won't have to paint. 😊 Your white folding plant 🪴stand sure is pretty, and it will look great displaying plants 🪴 in your nursery, too❣️😉 Of course, your old table and vintage desk are nice. I look forward to seeing what you end up doing with them, Rachel. The textured pair of candlesticks are nice. I suggest using crinoline with LOTS of Salt Wash added for even more texture and then dry brush paint them with Juniper in the Cottage Color and then add a little gold liquid patina or golden ticket to gild the lily slightly, so-to-speak.😊*
I love the little birds - of course I am a pretty big fan of birds anyway so I tend to gravitate to them, lol. :) I am looking forward to working on many of these things - thank you so much for the suggestions!! :)

Oh my word Rachel, Love your haul. The Angel planters are so precious. LOVE the birds. They and the footstool would look fantastic in my house. LOL You really scored on all of your items. Can't wait to see what happens with the tray table, antique table and desk. You got a steal on that little sleigh. Whoa, that heavy planter is stunning. The folding nursery stand was cool. Hadn't seen anything like that before. The Anthropology mug was neat. The chicken was a cutie. You guys have good eyes for bargains. It was fun to see Mama kitty, she sure upstaged you in an effort to get attention. hehe Anyway, have a wonderful week and I will see you on Friday. PS did I hear a peacock in the background?
We definitely managed to find some good "stuff" on this run! I am really looking forward to having a chance to work on some of it!! :) And mama kitty is actually Salty's mom! And yes - one of our neighbors a little ways down the valley has a flock of free roaming peacocks. They show up in my yard quite often and are very noisy at times, lol!

Great haul! I have two of the little angel planters. I painted them with Dixie Belle Canvas and then antiqued them with some dark antiquing glaze.
I bet they turned out lovely!! :)

If you cut the blades down some on the sleigh you could use it like a baby carriage. I thought that’s what it was till you said Christmas and then I saw the blades. 😂 It would be cute with plants or arrangement. Love it! Great haul!

How do you know what sells? I know it depends on your area but it’s difficult for me to figure out.
I really don't think there's a great answer to that question. Honestly I just stick to the things that I am personally drawn to or that I feel I could manipulate to fit in with my style. I hope that makes sense. :)
