horrible take... JJ got way higher basketball IQ than you give him credit for, and he did not have a sup par career before joining the NBA.
    JJ Before the NBA...

    2× Rupp Trophy (2005, 2006)
    James E. Sullivan Award (2005)
    2× Consensus first-team All-American (2005, 2006)
    Third-team All-American - NABC (2004)
ACC Athlete of the Year (2006)
2× ACC Player of the Year (2005, 2006)
    2× First-team All-ACC (2005, 2006)
    Second-team All-ACC (2004)
    Third-team All-ACC (2003)
    2× ACC tournament MVP (2005, 2006)
No. 4 retired by Duke Blue Devils
    McDonald's All-American Game MVP (2002)
    Second-team Parade All-American (2002)
    Virginia Mr. Basketball (2002)
The fact is that the lakers have been cleaving through coaches for years and been unable to find the right fit..
They are taking a gamble with JJ, since JJ only got coaching experience coaching 4th grade boys... but JJ has the IQ and the right mentality to succeed.
JJ also got a direct line to sparring with Coach K..
Kerr didn't have any coaching experience either before joining the Warriors... and no being a general manager doesn't give you coaching experience.
Jason kidd didn't have any prior coaching experience..
Steve Nash, went straight into head coaching... not with massive success though, like Kidd and Kerr
Only time will tell if this ends up working out.. i believe there is a chance JJ could end up being a great head coach... but we'll see...
Don't be so damn negative all the time, and stop hating for no damn reason.
