Hi Jim, thanks for the feature on the W8BH Morse Tutor. In order to give credit where it's due, Dann VE6TD and myself VE6LK aren't the creators nor did we modify the design by Bruce W8BH. We provide a kitting service where we bring in all the parts and put them in one place for your simplicity. I'm so glad so many people like the tutor and have improved their skills with it just like I have. Vy 73
Great overview, Jim. Nice to see how all the great features work. I ordered one of these from Vince the other day. You've saved me a lot of "figuring out time" with this one. Thanks!
Great gadget! I would love to get one and put an SD card in with a story that I know, and listen to it. Since I know the story, it would help me recognize the letters and words instead of dits and dahs. I know code, but I haven't practiced since the 1960s, so I'm terrible at it now.
That's a cool idea. Conversational morse. I might have to try that with a book or two of mine. I'll probably just pick some key paragraphs kind of thing.
Great video! I know it’s a mistake, but you mentioned a few times 3 Dits is an “I”. I’m sure you know it’s an “S”, but beginners don’t know that. Liked and Subscribed!
Loving this CW series, I got a Ham Cube Pokémon trainer, about same price for me as the others, except for the expensive USA ones. They are too expensive for what they are. Yes does Koch system as well. Big 4” screen for my sorry eyesight. No benefit here to learning it, no extra anything.
Definitely CW is my main goal with Amateur radio. I wouldn't mind having this trainer. I dont get into SEC football, but i noticed your alabama shirt. RTR! 73 Kq4hcu
Based on your enthusiasm, I ordered one, but 3:20 I know 3 dits is an "s" (two dits is an "i") which at 3:10 you already correctly declared! You're quite a trickster, saying stat with a straight face. But for 2-3 characters, at 25wpm I can recall the rhythm and count the dits and dahs, so I'm thinking I'll have to speed up the letters :(
The Morserino will connect over the internet, also you can get a USB-CW key dingus. I'll have a video coming out probably this week on those. They are allll over ebay, and cwhotline.com sells one as well.
Anthony, best way is to find a buddy, or go online to any of the services that will do commercial 3d printing - I think PCBWay, and JLCPCB both do it, I'm sure there are others.
@@FEPLabsRadio, I am trying to keep you on your toes so you will practice and learn CW. I root for all that really want to master code. I am joking around.
If you ever want to operate at speeds above 25 wpm, it's a good idea to not get into the habit of decoding characters and writing them down on paper. You won't be able to keep up.
EVERYONE these days has a computer of some sort. Some old PC, notebook, rasp Pi , hell even an old phone or tablet or some sort. So WHY would anyone need new highly specialized hardware "just" for CW if anyone can easily download and install any CW tutor/trainer software there is since Jesus himself got licensed ???! Hell even i myself wrote a nice CW trainer 30+ years ago on the C64 that does just that.
Solid work OM
There are lots of learning aids. But they only work if you use them regularly. And one of the best learning aids is a motivated buddy.
The mower in the background makes it seem more at home. Thanks Jeem. I have one on order.
I'm glad you OMs are still willing to learn. I picked up cw before my extra from an Elmer. Hope to see you on the air!
Always!
Looks pretty slick Jim!

Love my VE6LK Morse Trainer!

Larry - that is called a "brain fart". Mouth got moving faster than the brain. You are correct.
👍
Is there a unit that does connect to the internet so you can practice with buddies?

I don't have access to a 3d printer. How can I get the case otherwise?
Thanks WA2LNC Tony

are you going to learn code or hawk Vince's stuff? you sound like that Ham Radio Crash Course guy.
Didn't realize I was required to demonstrate my CW to you for every video about CW.
