- I know it is sad times for Citra users. Especially those who play Monster Hunter since the public lobbies are now gone...But what if I told you how to get them back?

It seems that most people always skip or completely looked over this step but MAKE SURE YOU DELETE THE "S" FROM HTTPS

i know this was awhile ago but peopl can still see your stuff if they pause it at the right section just so you know

As a side-note: a Citra account is not required to use multiplayer. Citra also does not support Android multiplayer.
are you sure? because a friend of mine who didn't create the account followed this method like me, but he can't find the lobbies

@@filippomonti4718 i just tried this methode on the video, and i never made an account for citra multiplayer, that means, i don't have a token. And ofc it works. make your friends reinstall and reconfig citra.
btw: i used citra nightly, it it could be of any use

I did one mistake initially : I did not close Citra when editing the .ini file, and it turns out that if you don't close Citra, changes are NOT saved. I did it again after closing Citra and it worked like a charm, no account needed indeed.
I think that Citra passively checks file compatibility while running, I saw it change some dates for seemingly no reason, and i lost a couple hours of gameplay due to not saving properly
Dude thank you so much. My girlfriend and I for our entire relationship have used Citra do to Pokemon Cagelockes Randomized together, and the news of it shutting down hurt us. Thank you to everyone involved to keep this alive

I have the public lobbies working and everything, but when i try to join some of them, i get the following error message:
*Unable to connect to the host. Verify that the connection settings are correct. If you still cannot connect, contact the room host and verify that the host is properly configured with the external port forwarded.*
Is this a problem on my end?

My GF and I were really upset about the shutdown and thought, the entire Network was taken down...
I did that and worked for me, I can join in public lobbies but I could not play Mario Party: Star Rush with my friends through Local Wireless. Idk wether it is a problem with the game or the public rooms...

Citra for android does not have the API installed for webservices. Id recommend if you could, install that before you continue.

Hello, me and my friend want to play Kirby triple deluxe, but we cannot set up a room, so we cannot play together. How can we set up a room where just the two of us can play?
now that, I havent figured it out yet, so if youre trying to create your OWN lobby....you need to know how to host a server as well

If you are talking about hosting the server permanently in your answer, there is no need for that personally. Because the host will already have a saved save file. In short, it's okay, even if it's temporary. Thanks again

it does, i have seen lobbies for pokemon
i just checked, there are lobbies that are used for any games, but most lobbies ive seen are for monster hunter, but yes, there are some that are used for other games.

hey man so i did exactly what you said to do for the emulator and it isnt showing any rooms, on top of that i noticed that every time i go out of notepad despite me saving it overwrites me save and goes back to the original text before it was saved

i just am not able to create a party so i can trade myself, i have online rooms but i cannot make a room. i even tried putting a random token too

Did you close out the citra application the moment you open up the config folder? Because if you don't, it won't save the changes

They are not required for multiplayer, all they do is allow you to use a custom profile icon (which doesn't work anymore)
Can you explain where this IP address is coming from? Is it like a community hosted server or something? Should I be concerned about connecting to it, like is there any risk of my data being breached? This all kind of new to me so I’m a bit hesitant
I understand your concerns, and no there is no risk at all from my experience and from other being able to connect. I can link you to the public server that is making this possible if you'll like

Okay, let's go down the list of of the step you had to do. Down in the web service section, did you change "true" to "false"?

WAIT. I just typed something random in that config file in the token section and it let me host a room. I haven't tested if it WORKS- but so far it seems you don't need a legit token.

The one step that is overlooked, is the "S" in https needs to be deleted, make sure you do that
After I press save, Then I make sure that I changed what should change, I find everything is back as it was b4 so what do i do ?

A friend and i were going to play on this right before citra shutdown, and i haven't been able to find a solution.
From my knowledge it's mostly for people who play monster hunter but I've seen that they added lobbies and titled it "for any game" so I would say give this a try

Ok, I tried to follow the tutorial and it helps but my code looks a bit different in that section....
It's fine if the code is different, as long as you're able to see the lobbies, you're all good
@@ThinCutGaming I mean yeah, I swapped the lobby part but that part with default looks completely different and I'm not sure what to do, I tried running it without changing that part but it didn't work

sadly I can not, this video was shot in windows
I asked a friend on windows to do for me
and then he send me the modified file and it worked

Because I'm inviting someone to the room and they got this error. And of course, I did the config file correctly from this video.

having a friend of mine join my room when i emulate a game like new super mairo bros 2

hosting isn't the problem, just joining the room, well with the exception of official group server room.
@pilvor1081 you guys with have th use the public lobbies for that, if you want to host your own. You will need to know how to make a private server
