I just replayed this game. It is literally everything I had ever wished out of a Marvel game. For me, it is clear that the developers are really passionate about the Marvel universe and they care about it.
Agreed Lego Marvel Superheroes 3 needs to have the Fantastic Four and the X-Men also I need Namor The Submariner The Avenging Son as a playable character also I want Surtur Ymir the midgard serpent and Apocalypse as playable characters that grow as big as fin fang foom that would be awesome Man
Sometimes I just wish they would make a game with every single character in the whole marvel universe with comic book versions and MCU versions I know it’ll never happen but it’s worth a shot
That will mean so many locations for characters quest the map will probably lag the game if ur talking about villains and heros idk how they gonna fit all of them in the game
Still my favorite Lego game till this day. It's not even a game, It's a whole vibe/experience. The atmosphere was perfectly created, The hero selection, Voice cast, OST, Storyline, and World of free roam was all absolutely brilliant. It accurately depicted exactly how a marvel universe game should feel.
When I saw that character menu I was shocked by how small it seemed to me. I remember it seeming absolutely MASSIVE at the time, but now with the other games it seems so small.
Totally agree, the story and graphics were ahead of it's time. I absolutely loved how vast the character roster was. The amazing dlc gave you good content for the price. Overall 10/10 game, could use some big fig jumping but ofc you have those other games to make up for it. Thanks for the great content blitz! Enjoyed every episode.
I very politely disagree with you and will share my view on it, going through each point and argument 1. The Roster. The roster does have more variety than the other Lego Marvel games, I will agree with that. Having the Xmen, Fantastic Four, more obscure characters, etc I loved. However, I do believe maybe about 1/5 of the roster felt dull and rehashed to me. Most of the characters do have something unique to them, but unlike the other games, some aspects of their powers are limited. Their appearance is also bounded by the fact that they used only comic book designs. I, personally don't have much of a problem with this, despite being an MCU fanboy myself. However many other fans of the MCU may be upset or find some characters like the Guardians of The Galaxy wildly different than their live action counterparts, what they're used. It could be both a positive and negative thing. Overall, the quality and actual designs are done better in both Lego Marvel Avengers and Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. 2. The Customiser. You do make quite a compelling argument on the next few points, but I still disagree. The customiser, in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, is limited to only 12 minifig customs and no big figs. Lego Marvel 1 does have 26 slots, but that isn't everything. The customiser in Lego Marvel 2 was ground-breaking and revolutionary. Those 12 slots could be made into extremely specific and good looking designs. There were so many options, colour variations, accessories, weapons and even customised powers. In Lego Marvel 1 the powers were bound to the appearance, restricting capabilities of custom characters. Back in the days of Lego Marvel 1, customisers were an afterthought, maybe very little thing in the game. In the more recent titles, the games put a lot more emphasis on customising your own character. Customisation was a big part of Lego Marvel 2, so I think it more than makes up for only having 12 slots. As for being able to customise big figs I mainly agree that it's potential was unused in the more recent games. However there is one thing you're missing about it. All you could do was change their colour. It wasn't quite as revolutionary as it could've been if the developers put more attention and time into polishing the customiser in that first game. 3. The Story. I have no arguments here, I enjoyed the story in the first game a whole ton more than the others. THANKS FOR READING ALL THE WAY THROUGH! This is just my opinion and I
The closest thing we have had to a LEGO Marvel vs DC is in LEGO Dimensions in the main hub where I think they used the Asgard-theme from LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.
I agree with all your points except for the customizer but that's just personal preference. This is the best Lego marvel game and I loved how they brought the MCU and the comics together
Spencer Johnson I PLAYED LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES 1 FOR 7 YEARS AND I AM STILL PLAYING IT BTW WHEN I FIRST PLAYED IT I WAS 10 YEARS OLD NOW IM 17 YEARS OLD AND IM STILL PLAYING THIS AMAZING GAME THAT WILL NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER WILL GET BORING
I believe that LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 is the best. This is for numerous reasons. 1. They managed to seamlessly connect the first game to the second without any mention of it, just references. 2. The character roster was bigger, including Spider-Verse characters, obscure comic book characters, and the well-loved MCU characters. 3. The customizer was better, as you could adjust the powers and what each button did. You could change how the beams and bolts looked, as well as the color. There was also a much more diverse weapon selection. 4. Instead of just being stuck in New York, you could go to a Wakanda that wasn't just cargo boxes (unlike LEGO Marvel's Avengers), K'un Lun, Hydra Empire, Medieval England, Sakaar, Lemuria, Nueva York, a post-Ragnarok Asgard, the list goes on. 5. PINK BRICKS. I know that the first game had Red Bricks, but did it have Helium Mode and Big Head mode? 6. The DLCs had much more characters and came with exclusive missions. 7. They found a replacement for Mr. Fantastic is Ms. Marvel. 8. The story. The idea of the multiverse is amazing.
I prefered just having New York than having a huge map with lots of different areas. I felt overwhelmed with the amount of areas and just felt the map in the first game had a more friendly and fun atmosphere. I also prefer the art style of the first game, I get the second game is meant to have more of a comic book design but I just don't see the appeal, the characters looked as if they were smeared with some sort of shiny wax and look lower quality than those of a game that was made four years earlier (in my opinion). Also having Deadpool is a large bonus for me and having access to characters from the X-Men and the Fantastic Four was also great. Most of my reasoning is just personal opinion and overall I just had a better time playing the first game but they are both great games.
I completely agree with you. Most of us want the X-men and fantastic four with the comic book costumes is great I just wish they added more characters like update the game maybe add quicksilver scarlet witch etc.
Hands down the most enjoyable and best character selection in terms of range. Just my opinion. This was the 1st lego game i played with my gf(Now wife) and while the other lego games were great, this is still our favourite. Love your content Blitz
For me customizing is easier in the 2nd game and the places were VERY different. One level in Wakanda, another in 2099, and then in the Wild West. The characters have a backstory that you can get to with 1 to 2 taps of a button (You can learn characters you didn’t even know existed. Last, there are more unique charters. Blitzwinger some points do agree with you on though. Like, how you can customize big figs.
LMSH 1 is my favorite LM game as well but I'm a bit disappointed that there aren't any speedsters to play as in the game. And speedsters is probably not the most useful ability (and yet maybe) but it's definitely for me at least the most fun superpower to mess around with.
Man, I've gotta revisit this game. I've never actually 100% completed it. Only the story and a few characters. It does have the best roster and the ability to customize your big figs is truly a plus! The mechanics were great for its time, but the main hindrance for me is the flight controls. I prefer it when you can control the height with the second stick. They need to make a Marvel Superheroes 3 where they include all of these features and new mechanics.
One thing you didn't mention but it's a huge point for me is the Hub. Manhattan is to me the best hub in the Marvel games and easily in the top 3 of any Lego game. The amount of detail and things to do in it is amazing. Chronopolis in 2 is an interesting concept but I don't find as appealing as the coherent NYC. Another point is stability and optimization. LM1 runs pretty well and besides a few bugs that made me restart levels it wasn't too much of a problem. However in LM2 the game was constantly crashing. In fact it's the only Lego game I didn't play to 100% because I became frustrated with the constant crashes.
Played it when I was 7 ah good old days and I bought the game 2 days ago and it’s still fun af and still a very good game when they compare graphics to other games it might look better but you don’t get distracted by it like let’s say cod 1
I really love this game. Still think it's the best. My wife and I are playing Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, but aren't enjoying that lack of dynamic split screen. Kinda takes away from the experience. i know some people hated that mode, but it was nice to have the option. Great video. LMSH 1 is the best
They need to do a Lego Avengers 2 game. At the time, they didn’t have as much to make a game off of. At the time the only other non Avenger character movie was Guardians of the Galaxy, but now with how expanded the MCU is, they could make a much better game. And with Endgame coming out, finishing up the infinity saga, it would be the perfect time to make it. It could be called “Lego Avengers: The Infinity Saga”
I agree with you blitz. I think it has much less bugs than avengers. (Granted I haven't played marvel superheroes 2) but I agree that the customizer was very unique and I wish that they had expanded upon it. And I also just think it's the most fun to revisit out of all the old Lego games I have 100% completed this is the one I love to play the most just for the cheap thrills of swinging through the city as Spider-Man. It's just a classic to me and will never get old.
This game gives so much memories I grinded me and my sister in 2013 WE PLAYED THIS ALL DAY FOR HOURS EVERY DAY it was a new character we would play as I loved this game
I definitely agree. LEGO Marvel 1 has a way better campaign and a better selection of characters, but in LEGO Marvel Avengers the characters themselves are better and the hub world is way better. Both games are amazing and they both do what their trying to do fantastically. LEGO Marvel 1 is a great comic book game, and LEGO Avengers is a great MCU game. LEGO Marvel 2 tries to do both, and as a result it ended up being the worst one. Even though its a LEGO Marvel Superheroes sequel, none of the X-Men or the Fantastic Four are included for the sake of pandering to the MCU crowd.
@@deathstroke994 Facts. I also don’t like that LMS2 doesn’t give us the ability to explore hub worlds separately like in LMA, and they just merged them into one. While it’s a neat concept, I would’ve absolutely loved a full hub world of winter Manhattan, complete with gray skies and maybe some occasional snowy weather. Only thing I really don’t like about LMA’s Manhattan is the time of day they have it at - never been a fan of that type of orange-red lighting.
yeah this game is much better out of the three, the character roster is better and while lego marvel superheroes 2 had more characters in the story there are some like captain avalon who many people probably haven't heard of and while there are characters like black panther, captain marvel, and doctor strange the fantastic four and x men make it seem like the marvel universe isn't at its full also while i have this and lego marvel avengers i wish the collection would come to switch so i can play away from home
4:00 so THAT'S why i thought there was iceman in lego marvel avengers, it was so long since i played lego avengers and lego superheroes, that i forgot the difference in the character roster for both games, also the console that i played superheroes on was broken before i got avengers
Not even joking this game made me fall in love with marvel. This game is my favorite also because it's nostalgia to me but like I've completed this game like 7 times now over years and years and I'm still not bored yet
This game is top tier for me is because it holds so many memories and I fell like the devs just put so much time into this game and I love it. This game was super good for me when I was 5 and still is. I hope we get another game just like this but I feel this game will stay the best because of the nostalgia
I agree I’ve played almost every LEGO game when I was younger and this was by far my favorite. Edit: Also this has the X-men and the fantastic four, which really add a lot to this game and feel lacking in LEGO marvel 2.
You can customise big figs in LEGO The Hobbit; and although you can only customise 2 big figs in LEGO The Hobbit, it has a couple more options for customisation. Granted, only having 2 to customise is a big limitation.
Avengers has Speedsters and Leaping. But Marvel 1 has X-Men and FF. Marvel 2's HubWorld is less fun in my opinion, plus it's a sequel to the comic based game but most of the main characters have MCU designs...
Honestly, the nostalgia hits me with Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 still love the 2nd but Number 1 tops it however, I still believe they could make a MCU Game with A game based off of the MCU movies and they could make another comic style one with ALL the superhero divisions like Avengers, f4, X-Men, Spider-Man, Guardians and Deadpool
Because I don't think Lego would actually get the rights from an anime, seeing that they haven't had any anime products/games ever. Lego is mainly for kids (not all, mind you.) But, this isn't that big of an argument, seeing that Lego has made themes such as Lord of the Rings, or Stranger Things. Not even pokemon, one of the most popular animes have been made in Lego. I've already written a giant novel about this, so I think it's a good time to end it.
I think Lego Marvel Superheroes 1 is amazing and i love the story and how some characters have MCU costumes and comic book costumes as well. I also loved the free roam of New York something i wish they did in the second. I wish LMS2 had MCU costumes as well and the Fantastic 4 and x men
What I don’t like about Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is the lack of Iron Man suits. They also implemented the Iron Man hud, only to remove it in the next game. They also removed some of Stan Lee’s powers in LMS2
U are right Blitzwinger. I've have enjoyed this game back when I was young and I did find it like a better universe and they did a good job on the characters looking like comic book types
This game definitely has the best open world out of the bunch. I was never a fan of having multiple areas with long loading times, just to explore an unfinished area like washington dc, or the other areas in lego marvel avengers. I cant count how many hours I've spent just roaming around the same city.
i got this game when it came out when i was 10. and i remember it had a good enough story and it was really fun. and once i beat it and got everything i remember there was still so much to do and its just so nostalgic and hands down my favorite video game of all time
I played this game all the time as a kid you never appreciate what you have until it’s gone it’s sm better than 2 seeing the city brought a tear to my eye 🥲
It has a lack of speedsters and the hyper jump is not there and you have to give the peices for customs to get powers but you can customize differently witch is cool and deapool may be hard to get but at least he is available for this game
If all Marvel LEGO Video games had Deadpool’s think it would be a harder desision. And if Marvel Superheres two had both Gwenpool and deadpool and customizable big figs, that would be a great video game. Imagine making your own hulkbuster suit, like the Stan lee or squirrel
In my opinion I think the customiser is the worst because I didn’t want to make a flying character and I put on the face and hair of tony stark and it gave me powers of iron man. So if you want to make like a character with certain powers, you will have to give him some features from the character even if you don’t want to
I sadly never got it but have such a weird nostalgia from blitz's play throughs and just the entire vibe is so great daytime New York inclusion of most of the iconic marvel characters Unlike the next two it included the x men and f4 🤩 I wish I could get this game and it I ever get a laptop/pc I plan to
In my opinion LEGO dc villains is the best because, 1. By far the best character customizer 2. A really good story 3. Unique because you are the villains and fight the police 4. Big free roam, being the only dc LEGO game with smallville and a big metropolis 5. Amazing character roster and a ton of dlc packs.
I just replayed this game. It is literally everything I had ever wished out of a Marvel game. For me, it is clear that the developers are really passionate about the Marvel universe and they care about it.

This game gives so much memories I grinded me and my sister in 2013 WE PLAYED THIS ALL DAY FOR HOURS EVERY DAY it was a new character we would play as I loved this game
I really hope they make Lego marvel avengers 2 based on infinity war and endgame
It would be cool to customize a Big Fig with weapons like Gladiator Hulk or arm attachments like Detroit Steel.
Yo I like your reasons. LMS2 is my least favorite. I can’t decide whether LMS1 or LMA is better. They both have their respective pros and cons.
I've never met someone I agree with so much
I definitely agree.
I agree I grew up with this game and everytime it brought me up and gave me that excited feeling
yeah this game is much better out of the three, the character roster is better and while lego marvel superheroes 2 had more characters in the story there are some like captain avalon who many people probably haven't heard of and while there are characters like black panther, captain marvel, and doctor strange the fantastic four and x men make it seem like the marvel universe isn't at its full
also while i have this and lego marvel avengers i wish the collection would come to switch so i can play away from home
Superheros 22 had a weak story to me in comparison to me, and I hate the map at the end of the game, it doesn't even restore all the cities.
Blitzwinger: "You can be giving your opinion without telling me a lot of names."
Me: "I do as I please!"
You're obsessed with this game
4:00 so THAT'S why i thought there was iceman in lego marvel avengers, it was so long since i played lego avengers and lego superheroes, that i forgot the difference in the character roster for both games, also the console that i played superheroes on was broken before i got avengers
Could you make LEGO dc super villains customs of “The Seven” from the boys? Their an evil justice league
Not even joking this game made me fall in love with marvel.
This game is my favorite also because it's nostalgia to me but like I've completed this game like 7 times now over years and years and I'm still not bored yet
Who's here before a hundred views
This game is top tier for me is because it holds so many memories and I fell like the devs just put so much time into this game and I love it. This game was super good for me when I was 5 and still is. I hope we get another game just like this but I feel this game will stay the best because of the nostalgia
I agree I’ve played almost every LEGO game when I was younger and this was by far my favorite.
Edit: Also this has the X-men and the fantastic four, which really add a lot to this game and feel lacking in LEGO marvel 2.
The flight in this game feels so powerful and fast compared to the other 2.
I played LMS so much it broke
Thanks for helping me to get
STAN LEE in all the marvel (Lego)Games
My favorite character in this is Mystique
You can customise big figs in LEGO The Hobbit; and although you can only customise 2 big figs in LEGO The Hobbit, it has a couple more options for customisation. Granted, only having 2 to customise is a big limitation.
It’s the best game bc of the MISSILES ON THE HELICARRIER
lego DC supervillains is the best lego videogame.
@@sladewilson8862 HAA!!😂
Avengers has Speedsters and Leaping.
But Marvel 1 has X-Men and FF.
Marvel 2's HubWorld is less fun in my opinion, plus it's a sequel to the comic based game but most of the main characters have MCU designs...
I'd like to play it on switch but that will never happen
Agent X ye i was gonna wait for the lego marvel collection to come out on switch but i gave up and bought it on xbox
I completely agree
Yeah I was sad too my account was on a computer that we got rid of
Honestly, the nostalgia hits me with Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 still love the 2nd but Number 1 tops it however, I still believe they could make a MCU Game with A game based off of the MCU movies and they could make another comic style one with ALL the superhero divisions like Avengers, f4, X-Men, Spider-Man, Guardians and Deadpool
Why is there still no lego jojo bizarrd adventure
Because I don't think Lego would actually get the rights from an anime, seeing that they haven't had any anime products/games ever. Lego is mainly for kids (not all, mind you.) But, this isn't that big of an argument, seeing that Lego has made themes such as Lord of the Rings, or Stranger Things. Not even pokemon, one of the most popular animes have been made in Lego.
I've already written a giant novel about this, so I think it's a good time to end it.
The Holy Trinity (in my opinion): Lego Marvel Superheroes, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego The Hobbit.
LEGO Star Wars the complete saga is better
I think Lego Marvel Superheroes 1 is amazing and i love the story and how some characters have MCU costumes and comic book costumes as well. I also loved the free roam of New York something i wish they did in the second. I wish LMS2 had MCU costumes as well and the Fantastic 4 and x men
Iron Man is the only character that has a MCU version.
Please don’t hate on me but the first one is my least favorite and Avengers was my favorite. Just my opinion🤷🏻♂️.
I just really like the open world side of things and the characters for reason.
What I don’t like about Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is the lack of Iron Man suits. They also implemented the Iron Man hud, only to remove it in the next game. They also removed some of Stan Lee’s powers in LMS2
Dude Lego Batman 2 is the best LEGO game
@STEVEGAMER 51 what does that have to do with what he said?
I bought Batman 2 and then when Superman came in I was like 😱
6:57 correction: idk if you were only talking about LM games but lego Hobbit also has bigfig customisation. Also my favorite game.
I cant count how many hours I've spent just roaming around the same city.
i got this game when it came out when i was 10. and i remember it had a good enough story and it was really fun. and once i beat it and got everything i remember there was still so much to do and its just so nostalgic and hands down my favorite video game of all time
This is what made me subscribe to you and your yolo craft
i just love the soundtrack in the first game.
Nostalgia and the story was great just like you said
If all Marvel LEGO Video games had Deadpool’s think it would be a harder desision. And if Marvel Superheres two had both Gwenpool and deadpool and customizable big figs, that would be a great video game. Imagine making your own hulkbuster suit, like the Stan lee or squirrel
This game made me live gaming now I’m into shooters but if I’m just wanting to chill I’ll play a Lego marvel game again I love them
3 The side missions
2 The storyline
1 Soundtrack
In my opinion I think the customiser is the worst because I didn’t want to make a flying character and I put on the face and hair of tony stark and it gave me powers of iron man. So if you want to make like a character with certain powers, you will have to give him some features from the character even if you don’t want to
this game just feels classic
Lego marvel superheros remastered. Everyone in the first game is in it, but with updated costumes.
I sadly never got it but have such a weird nostalgia from blitz's play throughs and just the entire vibe is so great daytime New York inclusion of most of the iconic marvel characters
Unlike the next two it included the x men and f4 🤩 I wish I could get this game and it I ever get a laptop/pc I plan to
In my opinion LEGO dc villains is the best because,
1. By far the best character customizer
2. A really good story
3. Unique because you are the villains and fight the police
4. Big free roam, being the only dc LEGO game with smallville and a big metropolis
5. Amazing character roster and a ton of dlc packs.
