Lucky! John of Gaunt is one of my great grandfathers on my fathers side. And on my moms side, James 4th of Scotland is as well. Once you find one, they are pretty much all in there. 😌
@@eyerollingintooblivion3564 Very true, Hannah... my tree is filled Mortimer's, Neville's, Percy's, etc. I have John of Gaunt, as well... it's been an amazing ride of genealogy that I had no idea of, or who these people were.
Loved this book, while I was reading it I couldn't help wondering if I was related to any of the characters - I knew of family folklore that we were related to royalty but not who, This wondering led me to research my ancestory only to discover that Jaquetta was my 15th Great Grandmother, so amazing to get a feeling for what her life may have been like, Thanks Phillippa
DNA decreases to only about 2% after about 16 generations, yet chances of finding an ancester is more likely the further out you search according to the experts so I didn't search while reading but geneology and history is so interesting.
I'm almost finished with this one and I have finished The White Queen, The White Princess and The Kingmaker's Daughter and i loved all of them. I'm also going to start The Red Queen and I cannot wait for the final book
I just got this book from the library. When I read 5he inside cover, it mentioned tarot cards. The reviews mention witchcraft. I am not into supernatural books…before I start reading this can you tell me…is it about people who are really witches and into tarot cards or is it about them being accused wrongly. Thank you!
PG is a great writer! I love her books! I just hope people use them as a reason to research and learn the facts and don't think that PG is writing nonfiction and everything she writes is true. #TeamWhiteQueen screw Margaret Beaufort. SHE killed Elizabeth's sons in the tower. And I have a question. If Elizabeth Woodville was once the Queen of England why isn't the current queen Elizabeth III instead of II? Elizabeth Woodville, Elizabeth Tudor, and Elizabeth Windsor. 3. Because she was considered Queen Consort? Do they not get numbers just maiden names when referring to them?
One of my favorite books of all time 😍 the romance is adorable and true, the history and wars and everything.. .just...😍😍😍😍

Mine too! I am a direct descendent of Jacquetta. So I must be related to you guys also.

She had many children so it is possible.
I'm also descended from Jacquetta through her daughters Mary, Jacquetta, Margaret, and Katherine; she's my 16th, 17th x2, and 18th great-grandmother.
Then we are cousins...

Lady Jay Mac Consorts do not count for kings and queens numerals
NOT everything she writes is true.
PG is a writer of historical fiction, and if the true facts get in the way of a story she'll change them...
The book's been released?
@uniquelyanonymoslyme
yes ive nearly finished
She looks like Carole King
