Johan is a situational ship, it is solely dependent on what everyone else does that provides the ability to excel, often this doesn't even last a full battle. Iowa is not, it is a ship that will struggle with a situation that involves close quarters combat, I guarantee you didn't magically end up 4km away from an opponent by trying to get into position.
