I bought a $1,500 machine on Amazon. Works great. Trips to the chiropractor were costing me $375 per visit.

So anyone can purchase one of these machines? I agree, trips to my chiropractor using this device is very expensive per visit, and health insurance doesn't cover it. I had a sample treatment and noticed no difference in my shoulder pain. They said I would have to have their 8 week program, which would've cost me over 1300 dollars. That'd a lot of money to me, plus there is no guarantee this will get rid of my shoulder pain.

I HAD a 12 year chronic hamstring tendinopathy and tear with deep gluteal syndrome due to accident. Torn piriformis had to be retracted. Had surgery which was successful but lingering ache in glutes and hamstring region. Had PRP, Tenex and then stem cells which made a big difference. Immediately after the stem cell injections had 3 Focused shockwave treatments 7 days apart. After 6 months still had some pain. In the course of 8 months had 33 focused shockwave treatments by a PA. It was successful. Had several doctors telling me shockwave doesn’t work; that is not true. My injuries were multiple and required much investigation by the PA to pinpoint injuries. I had tried 2 sessions of Radial shockwave treatment that did do anything. The Focused method allowed me to help guide the PA in locations that had pain. Each session was $150. Still better than possible surgery. It took determination to stick with it. I can tell you it is safe. Do not do any physical activity for a MINIMUM OF 48-60 hours. Do not use COLD packs afterward and only mild heat (bath) after 6 hours. Always had my session’s in mornings. Hope this helps.

The pain was so bad, it felt like my feet were on fire, worn-out and throbbing.
By chance i found out the podiatrist has a pulse wave machine.
I go there every 6 weeks and get this pulse therapy on the inside of my heels.

I have had 2 sessions and am entering my 3rd week of a 45 minute session. There are 2 wands for the shockwave treatment: normal/broad and acute. The acute wand is the worst pain I've ever encountered at a Doctor's office. The acute wand seems especially helpful/painful where the fascia and tendons are around the bone. It feels like a hornet is continuously stabbing your calcaneus (if you have plantar fasciitis). My doctor is very qualified (Stanford Medical School) in Lake Oswego, OR. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful as I'm now starting to run 2-3 miles every other day. I'm told that 5-6 weeks of treatment, 1 session per week, and a 6 week follow-up clears up symptoms in over 80% of patients in their office. These are often chronic conditions (over 6 months).

@@satishd2528 I'm 6 weeks out from having all 6 treatments. The issue is I'm having now is that I still can't do activities without pain. I can walk generally speaking, but I'm discovering that calf raises after doing lots of stretches I believe will bring my pain down from what was a 4 out of 10 prior to treatment to getting down from a 2 to a 0/10 after strength training. I'm now running every other day and doing plantar strength training (heel raises and towel toe grabs) on the alternate days.

Ongoing issue with my ankle. My situation was worse months ago.
Had multiple shockwave therapy sessions 6 to 9 from my physical therapist who also had me do exercises. Speaking from exercise, it significantly brought down pain and stiffness in my ankle. Also laser therapy was used. Of course shockwave and laser are most effective with physical therapy or activity.
Shockwave therapy does provide immediate pain relief while it helps to heal your condition.

@@chetanrs . . . I don't have nor ever had achilies tendonitis . It was unhealed ankle injury. All of my ligaments in the ankle healed back to normal except for the atfl which I fortunately ended up completely tearing weeks after I stopped doing physical therapy. That's not to say that shockwaves isn't effective. They are effective especially in combination with other treatments such as physical therapy, low level laser therapy, prp injection n other treatments of the like. The shockwaves were done via physical therapy.
No it wasn't painful. No my injury didn't completely heal mostly of my own doing. Forgot to mention I had peronal tendonitis as a result of the ankle issue of which has fully resolved. My peronal tendon has healed back to normal.

@@chetanrs . . .their might be a little discomfort through shockwave but nothing more. Shockwave helps your body heal up the injury. It's effect lasts up to 48 hours. It also provides a pain relief effect while it works to help your body heal up.

So far I've had it on my toes, hips, up the spinal erectors on my left side and a little bit under the left rib. Before the therapy I'd been working on developing a better forefoot strike with my walk and I found after a therapy session it opened up a bunch of muscles that were tight and stuck on the foot. It increased my ROM and strength of the arches and toes, walking felt completely different on the shocked foot.

My Doctor is doing 4 rounds of schockwave therapy on my hip followed by one round of PRP injections on my hip. First two rounds of STW have made me very sore with lots of pressure/tightness/contracting feeling. Dr. said the STW should make the PRP more effective, but I'm concerned the STW so far is making it worse. Should I be?

Omg I'm so sorry to hear!? That is so tragic! I think you should be investigating things like neuralink which Elon Musk's company is working on. They're working on the technology to help people who are in wheelchairs to walk again, blind people to see etc. They are basically creating a digital link between the damaged nerves in the brain.. something like that.. They are starting human trials already I think and it looks promising❤

Looking to get this done for my facet joint inflammation. My steroid injections were cancelled as I didn’t have any pain on the day of the procedure. Annoyingly 2 days later the soreness came back and the main symptom for me has been irritation of the sciatic nerve, tingling being in both heels/soles of my feet. Hoping a few sessions will make a difference. I had it done on my right SI joint area and one session took the pain away, it hasn’t come back.

@@ClinicalPhysio I'm really interested in focused for spinal disc issues, but I have other various parts of me that are starting to show their age too and I've been kicking around getting a radial machine for home. Would love a focused but $$ and the licensing/training needed less you do yourself or someone a serious mischief lol. There's a study or two out there but not much yet for disc issues. Outside of the treatment of calcification type problems I think the efficacy seems iffy at best for a lot of the claims you'll see out there, mostly from Chiros. You're basically dumping a non-trivial amount of kinetic energy into soft tissues and hoping something good comes from it.. so I would expect anything that responds to serious DT message, heat/cold etc. may respond well too. I don't find it surprising that it decreases pain either - that 'snap' is going to numb the area after bit, and the impart of energy etc. probably does help get things moving more easily. It's like a warming up cheat... if you don't mind the pain lol.
