The writers have completely knocked it out of the park with this storyline so far. Totally inverting their perspectives from where they were in 2019 in a completely believable way. Giving them completely opposing points of view, but you understand and empathize with both of them. And the script is taken so much further with everyone's incredible acting. Wow! Just bravo
ben needed to hear so many things this episode and he got to hear none of them. i know callum doesnt have all the words but hes being so harsh and all ben needs is a little bit of compassion and a whole lot of a reminder why love is worth it. yes pam listened to him but she also victim blamed and made ben spiral deeper. idk if its the writers doing callum dirty with the whole “its a few bad apples, love is love” crap but this better not break them up or i stg
2020 in England and Wales, sexual orientation hate crimes rose by 19% to 15,835, and transgender identity hate crimes by 16% to 2,540 - averaging more than 50 reports each day.
Is this really the most creative that the writers of EastEnders can get? Revealing that Ben was a coward all along. I was hoping EastEnders would break the English soap opera mold and stop creating tragic gay characters--but apparently to writers of English soap operas gays are tragic and cannot be shown as happy and well adjusted. Two very good actors' in Max and Tony--their talents are being wasted by these ridiculous writers. What a damn shame.
As talented as Max is I find it hard liking or watching this sl.Its plot driven ever since the right wing haters came on EE.Ben being scared is understandable though the rest is bs.
