So happy when I get a notification that you’ve put another video out…
I swear, I could listen to you talk for days!!! The music and stunning views in your videos is so peaceful and relaxing 😊 I also love that when you catch and release, you don’t throw the fish back in the water like it’s trash! You’re so mindful of gentle when you release them back into the water. You’re top class Rick!!! Keep ‘em coming please. Stay safe and give Billy Dog 🐕 a nice head rub for me… blessings 🙏🏻

I have the Poncho & the Liner and I hike the Presidentials in New Hampshire alot...... this is perfect gear for bad weather !!!....... It takes a beating and the liner makes a big difference up there.....weight wise its not ultra lite and it does take up room in the pack.. I added a larger stuff sack for both of them so I can put them outside on the pack !......... the liner is also fabulous as a inner bag liner for that extra warmth or for first thing on those chilly mornings inside and outside of the tent !!!

    • @RickTOutdoorAdventure1969

I have one. I use it every morning early, during my forest meditations in the winter here in the UK.
Its like wearing a tent. The only thing is the arms should be 2 to 3 inches longer. The elasticated cuffs on them pull back what ever one is wearing underneath to expose the wrists. Its not a deal breaker for sure, its still a fabulous bit of kit.
When i am sitting in meditation i often have my arms inside the poncho anyway.
Now the temperature is getting close to 0 degrees i am thinking of getting the liner as well.

I have about 4 Military Ponchos. The main differences are that I don't have sleeves, but they're a heavy vinyl weighing about 1kg each, but they still fold up small enough to carry in an Army Smock side pocket plus, military ones have eyelets and press studs so you can fit two or more together to make a shelter. I just wish they made them a bit larger is all. Nice review, good to see you and Billy Boy out and about, the bacon and eggs looked the business and I think the Fish would've been supper. I noticed the heavy bandage, what did you do? 🤷‍👍

It's too short. I'm 6'2" and most of my legs would have no coverage. This is the case with most ponchos, and I don't understand it. Why not offer ponchos in varying lengths for taller folks?
Another con with this poncho is its inability to be used as a shelter or groundcloth. It is what it is. I have some other Snugpak items that I'm quite happy with, but this wouldn't work for me.

Hi Rick, Thanks for sharing your experiences on using the Snugpack Enhanced Patrol Poncho. Can you please confirm what your height and weight is?. I ask this because I have seen reviews where users of the Poncho state the arms of the garment are too short for those whom are 6 foot (183cm) and over. What are your comments on this? Thanks for your feedback and if your are visiting Southern Ireland, please look us up.

I still really like it and it's just been in my main gear on a 5 day trip up into the far North of Scotland. We had decent weather so I didn't break it out but it always comes with me 🙂.
