Haha, love watching Sunniva try to hold it together while Johannes is having a great time rambling (or is it rhymebling)! And the Keep or Cull part is good too... there's even some cool board game stuff!
Hi, BGR - fun video as always. My rating of Terminus is currently a 7 as well. We played a 5-player game last Saturday - all five were new to the game. After about 90-minute setup + teach, the game was just over 4 hours. A slog, for sure. But, we all came away liking the game and felt we'd enjoy it better with 3 or 4 players - it was way too tight for 5 players with higher variance in scores (16 lowest, 46 highest). Yes, the money is tight and the economy reminded me of Power Grid. I'm going to play Terminus again soon, and again at GenCon. By then I'll know if I will Keep or Cull. Safe travels! See you at GenCon.
I have really liked spectral too. Almost every time we play we play at least twice because it’s so quick and you always think you are gonna do better then second time.
Life of Brian is great, definitely a Keep (Though of course YMMV, especially if you're a Roman, understandable if you'd lean towards Cull). So is Among the Stars, which was very accidentally and unintentionally, I believe, mentioned. 😀 Really harsh of Johannes showing Sunniva the door just for disagreeing about a game... Another solo series coming?😛
I would have still kept it for 2, but it would have been more on the edge! Sunniva agrees, but mostly by using the «advanced» farmer side of the board! :)
Another very fun and yet informative vid, thanks! Johannes, pardon the stupid question, but I notice you pronounce the "J" like a soft "G" rather than "Y". Is that local Norwegian thing? (My first name is Johann, which is why I ask).
This is very interesting, and I don’t really have a great answer. I think it’s mostly because I feel like it is a more «english» pronounciation with the «g» than the soft «j»! I don’t really know why 😂
@@BoardGamingRamblings Well, ok then! Here in U.S., many people don't know how to say it, so I get "Jo-anne" (women's name) most often, I've always said "no, it's Yo-hann, like Sebastian Bach." ;)
Are you asking them to talk about each game, and saying if they'll keep or cull it, without revealing what game they're talking about first??? Constant surprise reveals when viewers are trying to figure out what game they're talking about and whether they/we even care about it or already have some opinion to contrast? That's a really bad idea... 😕 Or is it that you're listening to these audio-only, without seeing the game's box on the screen, so you're basically just asking for a repetition of the title at the end as a reminder (in which case, sure, yes, very helpful in the podcast format, and easy to do)
We do always try to say out loud everything for people just listening, but we might forget from time to time! If that is not what you mean, I am not sure I conpletely understand! 😅 Sorry!
As always, I came for the board games, I stayed for the ramblings
Thank you! That makes me very happy to hear 🤩

So cascadito is for me then, thank you for showing me this game🎉
awesome video as always, and holy grail is my favorite monty phyton movie
It is so much fun! 🤩
I’m not used to seeing such color in the wardrobes-It suits you both tremendously!
Thank you! 🤩
Always look at the brian side of life😂

Glad to hear you hd fun, even though it was a longer experience!
Safe travels to Gen Con! We’ll see you there :)
Curious how is it better than the many, many games that are similarly themed (Underground, Bus, etc.)?
Blessed are the cheesemakers. 🧀
Well, obviously, this is not meant to be taken literally. It refers to any manufacturers of dairy products!
you 2 are a double keep all the way
Get that man a record contract!
Ah yes _The Life of Brian_ is wonderful. Interesting too, to hear of some of these 'board' games.
Board games are fun 😂
I have really liked spectral too. Almost every time we play we play at least twice because it’s so quick and you always think you are gonna do better then second time.
Happy to hear that! 🥳
Monty Python and the Holy Grail! Not just the best Python but the best movie period! Just ahead of The Princess Bride.
It is so much fun! I haven’t seen it in years, so I guess I’ll have to do something about that soon!

Yeah, it’s not for everyone, but I love that movie! 🤩 Never gotten to play Among the Stars, but would like to if I ever got the chance!
Reason 6 - pick up sticks!
The best! Thank you! 😂
Ooooooo Harry mack comment. ❤. I'm ok with the ramblings lol.
Harry Mack is fantastic! 😁
I think you should go with Sunniva's advice and cull Terminus, given there's only 0.5 between the scores.
We’ll see what happens :)
sounds like you might not be so keen on cascadero as a 2p only experience?
Liked it a lot at 2, but liked it even more with more players!
@@BoardGamingRamblings but would it have been a C or a K evaluated only for 2p???
I would have still kept it for 2, but it would have been more on the edge! Sunniva agrees, but mostly by using the «advanced» farmer side of the board! :)
@@BoardGamingRamblings ok it stays on my list then! :)
Love it when my two favourite boardgame reviewers interact with each other 😁
Another great video! Is Johannes losing weight? :) he looks great!
Thank you 🤩 I’m doing my best! 😁
My favorite Monty Python movie was banned in your country.
And then got back in, haha 😂
Your keeping a 7 rated on keep or call?
Or is rhis like the "extra" after the game has survived...
I want a version of a message from stars in portuguese :(
Yeah, it will probably be better in your first language! English worked for us, but I’m sure it would have been better for us in Norwegian!
Another very fun and yet informative vid, thanks!

Search for the Holy Grail. Never seen Life of Brian. Probably won't. Just having to do with the theme.
That makes sense! :)
Number, Paddle, talking, then game title, please

@@BoardGamingRamblings I think the original comment is just tongue-in-cheek teasing about a way to introduce a bit more chaos and fun!
@@yarondavidson6434I was just joking around.
@JohnClem56 yes I was! 🤑
Terminus is dry and tight Euro game ..lots of calculations. Definitely not fun for me.
That makes sense! Luckily there are great games out there for everyone! :D
that actually wasn't the best part of the video
I agree 😂
