I sincerely doubt he waited until losing 3 rounds for sure, possibly 4, and the majority of the 5th to break glass in case of emergency. Usman has very very little ground to cover to avoid this in the third match, Edwards has leaps and bounds to cover to get on the level Usman was displaying back in August. I see the current champion being a short lived one. Anything can happen tho. Stoked for Saturday

See I get the Leon hype because of what he managed to accomplish during the last fight but I can’t help but feel like people are forgetting just who usman is. Depending on how hungry he is for his belt back and how he managed to recover from the ko I can honestly see a domination. And I’m a fan of both.

People said Leon was lucky, I said Leon was lucky, but hard work brings luck. He conditioned Kamaru for that kick and it paid off. I won’t say he’s the better fighter or that he will win the rematch, but I will say that he deserved to be champ. His name is in the history books. Well done king.
HOWEVER, the one true King, Kamaru Usman is on his war path back to UFC 286. Come March 18th 2023, he will get his crown back.

The fact that Usman had full 3 rounds to go nuts and still failed to even significantly hurt him speaks volumes on how overrated his striking ability is, when facing an experienced striker's defensive prowess, as well as Edwards' amazing durability. Not to mention that the guy barely had a scratch on him after said beating. He never looked in knock-out trouble, never looked dizzy or shaky. He was just winded and demotivated. Now, compare that to how the likes of Burns and Covington reacted to simply being jabbed by Usman.
yeah we've seen Woodley, Usman, Burns, Colby get finished and bounce back on their way to the title but not Leon. He just had that one scare against Nate and somehow the narrative became that he had a bad chin
