@@niceboy60 Was that for me? I get mine on 23rd, this Wednesday. But for me personally, I work from home and do 8 miles a week taking my daughter to nursery and back. So I could probably go a couple of months without putting petrol in it and only having to charge it once or twice (I’m hoping!!)
Great review! I have a couple of questions Do you think it had more than 200 in comfort mode because it was using both the battery and engine? Seems strange that it’d go over 160. Which car did u think operated with the phew engine better, gla or a class? Which car were u more comfortable in, gla or a class? Is there a noticeable difference in weight of car between the gla and a class phev? Thank you 😊
Hey, yes it’s more than likely the battery gave it a little boost! The A and the GLA I felt performed exactly the same, in terms of PHEV driving but the A Class is more fun and I think looks better. The GLA is more practical and is a smidge more comfortable because of its size and driving position :) and no for everyday driving for everyday drivers the weight isn’t noticeable. Hope that’s helped!
@@GoksCarLounge Sorry to but into this conversation, but was it hard to find a suitable seating position in the a-class? For an inexperienced/ new driver which car do you think would be more suitable?

Hi thank you for the nice review, I have two questions. Do you thinking of trying to fastcharge(DC) this car / Mercedes in the future? To see how it works (24kw). Question 2: is it possible to start the climate control (timer) without a pluged in car to a socket.
Hi Jonas! Thank you! Fast charge isn’t possible on these cars, whether they will be available in the future we will have to wait and see. Yes it is possible to pre-heat with it being connected :)
Thank you for the answers ,have just ordered one with DC Charger this week, possible in Sweden. And the preheat cooling thing , I just wonder if that funktion works if you are not pluged in , do you know?

Yes it’s BL (Battery Level) it’ll still use it for lift off and very low speeds but it’s designed to preserve the “battery level” ready for when you do want to use it. :)
The total combined horsepower is 215bhp not what you have stated, I suggest you download the brochure from the Mercedes website and then maybe correct your misinformation.
If you look at the screen recording of my dash (bottom right) it says 42. If you watched the whole video I say the brochure says 37. The brochure says 218 actually not 215. I went by the fact that the battery has 102 and the engine 160. Which would total 262bhp. It’s not misinformation.

There should be a Rule no Car which costs more than £40,000 , should be labelled ,cheap to run 🤔😡 . I think your facts a slightly inaccurate. These don’t cost over £40k. £1100 a month is base on how many months? 24 month or 60? If a £100k car cost you 50p to run = cheap. Whole point of saying “to run” is the running cost. Not cost of the car.

I'm driving around 25km to work so perfect for me. Above that it's not worth considering
the technical info states that the combined HP is 218
So the plug-in hybrid model comes with 4matic system as standard ?

Sorry, that should be 218 total...
I went by the total output of both 160 + 102 = 262bhp, but it turns out it’s 218 which is the total amount that you can actually use..
On phev vehicles the total combined power is never the horsepower of both engines added...
