He is! He does a lot for the community and is a great role model. You can find him in the local gym doing his thing and he’s such a down to Earth guy. Other than that, not a lot comes out of Stoke-on-Trent to be honest lol so he’s one of the only famous figures we have😅😂

Wow this brought back memories of my childhood, my Dad used to do tug of war in the 80s, both AAA and for local teams, they did several charity pulls, 8 men pulling coaches lol, was great fun to watch, shout out to the anchor men out there.
This is why I love Eddie! Dude´s like a huge kid, just fooling around and having a good time. You should really put Brian and the other boys to the test vs. the tank. Honestly, I think they would give it a serious run for the money

This is only a tiny Scorpion tank too! Just imagine how powerful the main battle tank Challenger 2 would be in comparison. The Scorpion weighs 8 ton and with around 200bhp the Challenger 2 weighs minimum 65 ton (75 ton with armour etc) and has 1200bhp!
If it took these few out of shape ppl to outpull this tank, im curious how much of a chance even a 65-75 ton tank would stand against just a few belgian draft horses
Lets not get started on the 2A7 at around 1500ish hp, and around 3,400 ft-lb of torque. with a weight of a little over 70 tons i think fully loaded.
@@xismxistBelgian draft horses are very strong but you think a few horses will output a 75 ton tank?? Those 3 horses weigh maybe 8k total at best vs 150k lbs! Yeah not chance lol. Also these men never stopped this tank not even close. They just broke traction. If that was softer dirt and better tracks to dig in even a tram of draft horses wouldn't stop this little tank let alone a 75 ton one. I'm guessing if the 75 ton tank had 100% traction and spooled up to full power it would take 50-100 full grown draft horses to MAYBE stop it. Even then probably not. People don't understand the power these track drives have. They have deep reduction planetaries in them on top of reductions before that. They put out an extreme amount of torque

@@xismxist I have heavy equipment and I have 7 horses at the farm 4 of which are draft horses. I said IF the tank had endless traction and would slip. 20 graft horses would not match the TRACK POWER of a 75 ton machine. 20 draft horses is under 60,000 lbs. How do you think they would pull 150,000 lbs of iron? I'm betting you have horses and though they are strong to us men, they are still flesh and bone and can't compare to iron and diesel power.

Love the idea, but the narrow ropes creeped me out for that many people. They look like 2" manila (27.5K lbs tensile, lining up with your '15 ton' description). But that strength is brand new with no knots, and the working load has a safety factor of 4 to 10. Depending on how you attached them to the tank, each rope might only have been safe up to 3000 lbs. A person can pull at least their body weight, up to double if skilled and on the right terrain. With 20 burly dudes on each rope, I'm just happy nothing came apart.

Why would this "creep" you out? Worst case scenario, a rope pulls apart, and, 30 dudes end up in a pile.
