Cool. I have one that look just like that Realistic but it is GPX and has a clear body and handle on top.

That Realistic SCR-40 looks similar to the Sharp QT-50.
It does seem similar - but the service manual for the QT-50 has differences between it and this SCR-40.
@@EricMarschner Service manuals - a hobbyist and technician's virtual best friend. I doubt the Realistic will require much in the way of repair though as it looks to be in pretty good shape. 😇👍
Good video, I've already started my collection, I have 3 so far and 1 on the way, what is your opinion? Are they worth collecting??
I think they make nice display pieces when cleaned up and working.
I thought it might be new old stock...it is just old used radios. Why is that a thing?
Most definitely these are old, used, and broken in some way. I follow up with videos after I fix them.
Why do people keep calling them "Ear Buds"? In the 80's, they were called "Headphones" - I also feel this is the proper term.
Actually they were called earphones or in-ear stereo phones. (As the catalog listing in the video shows)
