Thank you for sharing this block !! I’ve never seen that before… I might try it on a little quilt Iam planning to make for a little girl who loves farm animals and have gotten some real cute material for it. Iam a fairly new subscriber… you are an inspiration to me … God bless you as you rebuild… you are in my prayers ♥️
You are my new hero. You are a quilter with one arm. Im afraid to cut squares with two arms. Im 75 and im teaching myself to quilt. If anyone can be my teacher its you. Thank you so much for helping us older folks. Hugs and much love
Awwww... Thank you! I'm humbled 😊 I taught myself to quilt as well and have learned a lot from others as well. I just want to share the passion of creating beautiful things ❤️
Thank you for this great video. I can't believe I never thought of snipping the middle before sewing together. I struggle to get the pieces apart to make the cut. I never get too old to learn. I love your fabric choices also.
Thank you for watching! I learned this block from my stitch group. I didn't know if i liked this block at first because I didn't quite get the concept & I thought it was a little boring until I tried making one! OMG, I got obsessed making these blocks from my scrap bin. I like pulling colors from other fabrics and then putting the squares together. I have made several table runners & my lil sister made a quilt top for her son using this block. Yes! the snipping a hole on the line is genius! Right on, we are never too old to learn. I learn many things from others.
Thanks! This was just a simple way to make fast table runners from left over fabrics. I should do this one again in another video. I love making table runners!😁❤️
Thank you for watching LaDonna! Yes! please share! I appreciate everyone who watches and shares. I love to share my creativity and have so much more to show!
Thank you Shirley! I was a beginner once too. It doesn't seem that long ago! I have come a long way....but still learning new things. Sewing is my greatest passion & I wish I would have learned it in my younger years. I love being in my sewing room and just playing with different fabrics, ideas, books, blocks.....keep sewing! we just keep getting better! Sew fun!
I love this square, so quick and easy. Last year for Christmas I made baby doll blankets for our 4 little grand-girls and they just loved them. Think I made them about 20" square or close to that. Thanks for refreshing my memories.
I was taught this technique from a group of ladies that I sew with. Its fun and easy & you could add several layers of color. My lil sister loves this block! She made an Eagles team quilt with this block and it turned out amazing.
So cute! What a great technique! Do you know how to calculate the measurement needed for each square? I need to do this for a memory quilt and my squares are various sizes. Thank you!!
Thank you! I was taught this by a sewing group. After you do the first square and press, I measure and do the next block square the same size and continue on 😊 hope that makes sense...
Hello there...I learned this process from a sewing group. No, there is no points in this one. This is just a fun easy process that looks great in small projects & my little sister did this in a quilt. It looked fabulous. This is really just a simple play on fabrics.

Is there a way with this method to sew the inner blocks so you don't lose the points?

How do you know what size is the next square?
I measure each time after I sew just to be precise. You can do this technique with any size block 😊
[ove it
Thank you! That turned into a beautiful table runner!
